“Maellen took such sweet and gentle care of our senior lady. Pup had just had abdominal surgery and we were so nervous to leave her. Maellen was wonderful with the extra after surgery care and extra needs that go along with the extra encouragement needed for an older dog to do anything. Will definitely book again. Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Mary and her wonderful family. From the moment I met them, I knew Tula was in kind, capable hands. Mary has a loving home filled with children, cats, and dogs, and Tula settled in as if she had always belonged there. It was clear she was treated as part of the family, receiving plenty of attention, affection, and excellent care. Knowing Tula was happy, safe, and well-loved gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We are so grateful to Mary and her family for welcoming her into their home, and we would not hesitate to trust them with Tula again. We highly recommend Mary to anyone looking for exceptional, loving care for their pet.
