“It was hard trying to find someone to care for my 7 year old Maltese, Cooper. He has separation anxiety and this was the first time that he was staying with anyone other than family. We took him to meet Rosalia to make sure they and Rosalia's dog, Kiki, were ok with each other. That was a good visit. Cooper and Kiki were both pretty mild mannered. I was confident that Cooper would be fine with her. I was more than happy to hear from her each day with comments and pictures. Looking at the pictures, it was obvious to me that Cooper was feeling a little shy but comfortable. After one day he was eating with her which is not normal, even when he stays with family. He usually sleeps and doesn't eat until I get back. Rosalia has a soft and gentle demeanor which works for him. And it is obvious she has a way with dogs and probably with most animals. Needless to say, I would highly recommend Rosalia.”

About: Calm, assertive energy. We’ve fostered and placed several shepherds from the animal shelter into better homes. All of our dogs that my wife wanted led us to a great pet trainer back in 2015. We went to weekly classes and learned to handle our German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois . We focus on the basics and good manners. I am retired working as System Engineering consultant part time. We spend some time in Illinois and some in New Mexico. We have freedom to interact with your pet as needed. We have fenced yard and enclosed porch with pet door. Also have separate 8 ft x 12 ft dog kennel if needed. We have various sized crates if animals need their own space.

Patricia was willing to follow the schedule I provided, and mix my dog's kibble with chicken and rice to finish weaning her back to pure kibble. My dogs get along with Patricia's small dog, Sophie, and enjoy their surroundings during their stay (Patricia has a beautiful patio and spends time with them outside). About: I’ve cared for animals of all sizes my whole life, from reptiles and rodents to draft horses. I have worked for several vets and am not put off by any special needs, medical, or aggression situations. I am an attorney who lives and works in Corrales and has a relatively flexible schedule for local jobs. I am constantly caring for my own animals and can easily fit new animals into the schedule. Safety and trust are utmost priorities when working with animals, and every animal requires some adaptation to them as an individual.
