“Kayla was super friendly and did a great job with my large-breed dog. Finding someone comfortable with bigger dogs can be challenging, so I really appreciated her confidence and experience. My pup came home happy, tired, and made a new dog friend. I'd definitely book with her again!”

“Alex is an amazing sitter!!! Our babies loved being with him and his partner! They both are loving, caring, attentive and most importantly obsessed with dogs. He took care of them, loved them and made sure our babies feel at home. Whenever we are here, he is the only person we would reach out to sit our babies!! And not just the babies, they were friendly with us too!! It was lovely to get to know them and meet them! We got lucky we found them! Thank you so much to both of you for your time, love and care that you gave to our babies! ✨🫶🏻”

“Helen was amazing with Nika. She let me know how Nika was during the day with pictures, which was really cute. I could tell how attentive Helen was to make sure she got all her energy out -- which says a lot because she's a German Shepard. When I picked Nika up, she was all smiles. I will 100% book with Helen again!”
About: Hello! My name is Amberly. If you are looking for someone to love on your pets, look no further. I also have experience with walking dogs and have received many positive reviews including being extra caring! I truly believe a life without animals is not a life at all! I work a flexible schedule as I partially work from home running my own business and pick up at the hospital from time to time I live in a townhome with a senior chihuahua and a small fenced in patio. My neighborhood is dog friendly and is nice for walks. Dogs would be with hanging out with me at home or hanging out at a fun park somewhere. Taking care of your babies would be my absolute honor and bring me joy to provide a peace of mind for you to enjoy knowing your family is in good hands when you can’t bring them along. I have no other responsibilities at the moment with being on no-one else’s scheduled time, so all my time is set to your appointments with my full service and necessary attention undivided. I’m a cuddler to the spoiled fubbies as I understand them completely! I give them loads of love and attention, of course food water, and take them on walks as often as need be alongside whatever other requirements may be necessary for successfully taken care of the fur babies!
About: I’ve owned and raised around 6 cats throughout my life. About 3 dogs and almost all of them were rescue pets. I’ve indulged in both dog and house sitting, most of which were overnight jobs. I’ve tended to malnourished puppies where I’ve nursed them back to perfect health. All around most of my experiences were personal, such as growing up with pets but by the time I was a teenager, I indulged in house sitting, dog walking, etc. The most pets I’d say, I’ve taken care of all at once would be around 5 or 6. I’ve cared for a few reptile pets such as turtles and snakes but it has mostly been cats and dogs. For the first time in my adult life, I have my own beautiful pup. Thank you I’m looking for some real work in this field, so let me know if anyone needs someone recurring. I have reliable transportation and am mostly available. I live on a pier, in a floating home, so if you aren’t comfortable with that, we may consider sitting instead of boarding. It’s a nice, calm environment for all. I’m not picky so if the pet wants to sleep in the bed that’s fine by me!
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 3 years and am a dedicated dog mom to my 3 year old French bulldog, Kree. She’s very playful, well-socialized, and gets along great with other dogs, so I’m very familiar with maintaining a safe and fun environment for pets with different personalities. I live an active lifestyle and make sure dogs in my care get daily exercise, attention, and lots of love. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company throughout the day, I treat every pet like my own. I work from home, so I’m able to be very attentive and present. I also understand that every pet has unique needs, whether that’s crate training, specific routines, or extra patience and I’m happy to follow your preferences to make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, drop-in visits, doggy day care, and walks during both weekdays and weekends. Because I’m home most of the time, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods. I’m also happy to coordinate walks or visits based on your pet’s routine. I’d like to bring my dog along for walks for socialization and exercise, as long as your pet is comfortable with that. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in an apartment but have a clean, pet-friendly environment and a balcony potty station available for quick breaks. I also make sure dogs get regular walks and exercise daily. I have a crate-trained dog, and for safety and structure, I do require that dogs staying with me are comfortable being crated at night. However, I always follow owner preferences when it comes to routines, feeding, and care. Since I do have a dog in my home and occasionally care for multiple dogs at a time, it’s important that your pet is friendly and comfortable around other dogs. I carefully monitor all interactions to ensure a safe and positive environment for everyone. For the health and safety of all pets in my care, I do require that dogs are up to date on vaccinations (including Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella) and are on flea/tick prevention. Please let me know if you have any questions about this—I’m happy to chat! I understand trusting someone new with your pet can feel like a big step, but I will treat your pet with the same love, care, and attention I give my own.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
