About: I’m not doing this as a side hobby—I live this every day with my own pets. I understand behavior, energy levels, and how to keep animals calm, happy, and cared for. Your pet won’t just be watched—they’ll be understood, respected, and spoiled (in the best way). Because I work from home, I’m around throughout the day and can easily build pet care into my daily routine. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to handle feedings, walks, and playtime consistently while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention and care. I have a fenced in yard and my 3 dogs play well with others,I also have 2 cats but they stay in one part of the house and usually let the digs do thsir own thing.
“Alex is an amazing sitter!!! Our babies loved being with him and his partner! They both are loving, caring, attentive and most importantly obsessed with dogs. He took care of them, loved them and made sure our babies feel at home. Whenever we are here, he is the only person we would reach out to sit our babies!! And not just the babies, they were friendly with us too!! It was lovely to get to know them and meet them! We got lucky we found them! Thank you so much to both of you for your time, love and care that you gave to our babies! ✨🫶🏻”

“Helen was amazing with Nika. She let me know how Nika was during the day with pictures, which was really cute. I could tell how attentive Helen was to make sure she got all her energy out -- which says a lot because she's a German Shepard. When I picked Nika up, she was all smiles. I will 100% book with Helen again!”

I've successfully managed daily medication schedules and provided attentive care for senior pets and energetic puppies alike. My friends and family jokingly call me "The Dog Whisperer" because I bring a unique blend of patience, calm energy, and deep love to every interaction. This means that whether your pet is shy, a little reactive, or just needs constant attention, you can rest assured they are with a caregiver who understands them. Pet care is not a side job, it is part of my daily routine and a priority. I am a stay-at-home dad, so I can structure my day to ensure maximum availability and dedicated time with every dog. I have a large fenced yard and a four-year-old Basset Hound who loves to meet and play with new friends. About: I love the outdoors and enjoy having companions who enjoy it too! Dogs bring so much joy to a home, and I love getting to meet new dogs! I do have experience with raising three liters of Boxer puppies growing up. The family dogs were three Boxers and now I have a rescued German Shepherd mix. We go on nature walks every weekend and walk at least once a day, if the weather permits. We would love to add more fur buddies to the group! I don’t mind watching more than one pet at a time. I have done potty training, crate training, sit, lay, wait, space and walking on leashes for beginners. I am currently a stay at home mom. I am home most of the days, Sunday through Saturday. I currently live in Stone Mountain. I have a home with a fenced backyard! I do have two dogs that can provide comfort to your furry companion, or if you feel more comfortable I can separate the dogs by floors. My dogs can stay upstairs and your dog can stay with me. Since becoming a mother, I am at home all day and night. This allows me to provide more attention to your furry pet. I typically only leave the house for walks and grocery shopping. I have a fenced in backyard and lots of baby gates to separate the floors. Every 3-4 hours I take the dogs to the backyard to go potty or play.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
