“My dog had an awesome time with Kateri and the rest of the pups! Very flexible and easy to work with, and Niko had so much fun!! Fenced backyard was a huge plus and I felt at ease leaving Niko with her!”

About: I’ve had dogs before, so I’m comfortable managing and caring for them daily. I also grew up around about 16 dogs, which helped me develop patience, confidence, and the ability to handle different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. I understand routines like feeding, walks, supervision, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. During the school year, I’m available before and after school. I leave for school in the morning and return around 2:40 PM, so I’m dependable for afternoon, evening, and weekend care. I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a calm environment for every pet in my care. I follow owner instructions carefully, keep pets supervised, and pay close attention to their behavior and comfort.
“Kristen was one of the best sitters my pup has had. Her and her family took such good care of Mochi. Mochi had so much fun and felt at home. Kristen sent me many pictures and updates throughout the long weekend which I loved. She was flexible with changing the pickup time too. Highly recommend!”

“Karrie was our go-to dog sitter when we had work in Atlantic City. She would take him to the beach for long walks and he definitely seemed content when we took him home. He was always happy in the photos she shared. We no longer have our old bad dog Pete, so we haven’t seen her lately.”
About: I have cared for pets for over 20 years in a variety of settings. My own pets, as well as friends, family members, and neighbors. I have also been previously employed by a professional dog walking company, which I remained with for two years. My responsibilities included walking the dogs, taking them to the park, feeding, and staying overnight in many cases while owners were away. I would also care for cats, rabbits, and other animals. I have experience with medication administration, such as eyedrops and pills. I love animals and I have a very calm, nurturing disposition. Safety and snuggles are my two priorities! I work full time from my home on a flexible schedule. I have the ability to provide a ton of attention for your pet if they are here with me. I am also able to easily stay in others homes due to my job. It's incredibly important to me to make sure that your pet feels safe, loved and cared for. Pets are like family, and I know how hard it is to leave them sometimes, especially with a new person. I have a two story home and they are free to roam around as they please, lay on the couch, sit out on the deck (weather permitting). If I am at your home, I follow your care instructions very carefully and I am respectful your space. I have an 8 year old standard goldendoodle who is very friendly. However, if your dog may not get along with another dog, I am able to take mine to his grandpa's house to watch him so I can prioritize yours.
“Blanca took wonderful care of our 2 pups. She sent us pics and updates was flexible with pick-up and drop-off hours. They were at ease right away and seemed to have plenty of time to go out and secure space to runa nd spend some energy. Would not hesitate to board our pups with her in the future.”

Our pets are up to date with vaccines and I keep clean water bowls daily. Feel free to reach out to me with your questions, I'll be happy to help. I am a stay home dad and I take pride in running my house accordingly. I'm an active runner and walk ours dogs often so they don't get anxious and i play fetch with them daily x3 at least. I have a schedule for feeding times to maintain appropriate weight goals for our pets. I have a fence backyard with space to play fetch so we don't have to find random parks on days that are too hot or too cold. However walks are a must for the dogs social development. Walk time vary depending on age, size and capability of the dog. I keep the AC or heat on according to the season.
About: I have experience caring for dogs and understand how important it is for owners to trust the person walking their pet. I am patient, attentive, and reliable, and I take the time to ensure each dog feels comfortable and secure. I treat every dog with the same care and respect I would expect for my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily schedule, allowing me to provide consistent and dependable service. I am able to accommodate regular walks and check-ins while maintaining flexibility to meet individual pet needs. I care for pets in a calm, safe, and attentive manner, whether in my home or in a client’s home. I follow each pet’s established routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I prioritize cleanliness, safety, and positive interaction, and I ensure pets are always supervised and comfortable. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain their pet’s normal environment to reduce stress, while providing reliable and consistent care.
“Best and most caring family!!! They took such good care of Beau. They sent so many pics and videos! I don’t think he wanted to leave! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I couldn’t give them a higher recommendation!”

“Jared was wonderful! Excellent communication leading up to our booking. He sent multiple photos daily and our dog had a great time. We will be repeat clients and highly recommend Jared.”

“Thank you, Tyler, for your care and attention to my babies. Gryffin and Zuzu had a wonderful time with you. Your home and your property are beautiful and exactly what they needed. I luv the pictures and updates you sent throughout the visit and your luv of animals and attention to their care shows in every way! Again, thank you, I truly appreciate you 🤩”

“Jousline did an amazing job caring for my French Bulldog, Jorden. She was attentive, reliable, and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Jorden can be a little particular, but Jousline was patient and handled everything professionally. I also appreciated the updates and communication, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Jousline to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Deborah and Edmund are a hidden gem that we are so glad we found! We recently moved to the area full time and needed to leave our 1.5 year old pup for a full weekend. We met Deborah and Edmund before the weekend, and immediately trusted they would take great care for our 35 lb mini goldendoodle. They had a dog of their own for 13 years and seemed very comfortable, confident, and competent caring for our dog which helped us not have a worry over the weekend we were gone. They sent us pictures and updates throughout the weekend of a happy pup that only confirmed he was in the best care and being treated like their own. We will absolutely be using Deborah and Edmund for any future boarding needs, and would certainly recommend them to anyone!”

“Ashlee was so great with our dogs! She kept us updated with pictures which we really appreciated as we knew our doggies were very happy! Ashlee even cut our dogs nails!!! We definitely recommend Ashlee and will def rebook when we need someone!”

“Absolutely wonderful!! First time leaving our Sunny and Katie and John took care of her as if she were their own. Great communication, constant pictures!! Will definitely use again!!”

“Paola did a phenomenal job caring for our Kody. He has minor issues with separation anxiety and Paola made sure he had his medication each day at the appropriate time. She incorporated him right into her household and he fit right in and relaxed immediately. Her and her husband loved him as their own. The pictures and videos she sent made it apparent that Kody was relaxed and having a great time. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Paola and her husband Sebastián. Thanks for loving on him!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
