About: I've had pets for the last 15 years. I'm an active dad who loves walks around town with my own dogs, I am more than happy to walk yours also. Our pets are up to date with vaccines and I keep clean water bowls daily. Feel free to reach out to me with your questions, I'll be happy to help. I am a stay home dad and I take pride in running my house accordingly. I'm an active runner and walk ours dogs often so they don't get anxious and i play fetch with them daily x3 at least. I have a schedule for feeding times to maintain appropriate weight goals for our pets. I have a fence backyard with space to play fetch so we don't have to find random parks on days that are too hot or too cold. However walks are a must for the dogs social development. Walk time vary depending on age, size and capability of the dog. I keep the AC or heat on according to the season.
“I can’t talk more highly about Cindy, Franklin‘s sitter. She treated my Franklin like it was her own dog. I highly recommend her and you will have no worries. She sends updates and pictures.”

About: I’ve had dogs before, so I’m comfortable managing and caring for them daily. I also grew up around about 16 dogs, which helped me develop patience, confidence, and the ability to handle different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. I understand routines like feeding, walks, supervision, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. During the school year, I’m available before and after school. I leave for school in the morning and return around 2:40 PM, so I’m dependable for afternoon, evening, and weekend care. I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a calm environment for every pet in my care. I follow owner instructions carefully, keep pets supervised, and pay close attention to their behavior and comfort.
“This was our pup, Isla’s, first time boarding and Jared took excellent care of her. When we met Jared at our meet and greet, we could immediately tell that he loves dogs and would be a responsible and caring sitter. The daily photos he sent showed she felt right at home and was having such a good time that we were afraid she would not want to come home back home. We will definitely book with Jared again and know that Isla will happily run in in the door and make herself at home! Thanks Jared and family for making Isla’s first boarding experience such a positive one!”

“We have had ongoing great experiences with Denise. We are completely at ease when our 11 year old King Charles (Presley) is in her care. A five star service for sure! Rudy & Beverly Meyers”

“Once again Diana has helped sooo much in our quest for dogsitting services as we complete our multi-move until our hone is ready. Harley cones back revived, rejuvenated and as of today actually now knows the “drop it” command thanks to Diana. I had never had a sitter with their own dog but i can say i will actuakly look for it in the future because i now see the benefit. I would not hesitate to leave my pet in her hands as she is friendly, flexible and extremely pet knowledgeable! Who can ask for more. I also love her pet pics! I just hope we settle close enough to be able to have her sit more often.”

“Our girl Nittany loved her time with Kateri & Mazey! Kateri was great with communication and sending updates and took great care of Nittany. She even sent us home with a report card of the stay. We’d recommend Kateri to anyone!”

“Best and most caring family!!! They took such good care of Beau. They sent so many pics and videos! I don’t think he wanted to leave! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I couldn’t give them a higher recommendation!”

“My dog was on a mini vacation, she had a blast there !! You can tell Karrie really cares about animals and treats yours like her own. My Lola was taken to the beach for her first time. I can’t be happier ? we will definitely use her again when we’re in Atlantic City ???‼️?”

“Skipper stayed with Kristen for a couple of days and she every day she provided great communication, numerous updates and kept our pup busy! He is a higher energy 1.5 year old golden doodle, so he needs a lot of exercise and she was awesome at keeping him entertained with her children and dog Bailey. He was allowed on her furniture and it really seemed like he was part of her family for his stay. Thanks so much for your efforts Kristen!! We highly recommend you!”

“My Moyen Poodle, Ranger, was well cared for by Jason. With Addison's Disease, Adrenal Insufficiency, he needed regular meds. Recently our Vet said he should gain a few pounds. Both were well attended to and he returned energetic and healthy. Jason did what he needed to do to help Ranger adapt to the new environment. I would highly recommend using Jason for your pet care.”

“Leaving Tarrega with Joanne over the weekend was the best decision. She was so accommodating to my 6 month old puppy as she acclimated him with different surroundings while I was away. She made sure he was happy and comfortable in her house. She sent me pictures to reassure me he was okay. Joanne was so sweet. I’ll definitely leave Tarrega with her for future stays.”

“We attended a wedding over a weekend and Katherine and John were so welcoming to Zoey! We contacted them for a meet and greet and they were very agreeable. They were accomadating to our quirky schedule and very easy to work with. Zoey had a fantastic time at their home and we enjoyed the photos and updates sent to us . This was our first Rover experience and I’d say it was a success and hope to use Katherine and John again in the near future”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
