“Lori was amazing with our 6 year old basset hound. Our dog felt right at home when she stayed with her. Usually our dog gets nervous and can’t wait to leave when boarded. I will definitely use her again.”

“As always, Tim and Lisa are amazing with your furry child. Bailey always enjoys her stays and we highly recommend bring your furry child to them. Their family will treat them as their own.”
“Patricia was awesome! She kept me updated on my Chloe throughout the day. Chloe seemed happy and well entertained with Patricia. Thank you for taking such good care of Chloe for the weekend 💕”

“Andrew was absolutely perfect. He clearly has a wealth of knowledge about dogs and their care and behaviour. He checked in regularly and made us feel completely at ease with his care for our dog Hank. He truly cared for Hank as if he were a part of his family and we are so grateful that we got connected with him. I would without a doubt recommend him to anyone for the care of their animals.”

“Outstanding!!, Patricia and her husband were very kind and welcoming to our fur baby, she sent updates with pictures and that was much appreciated. We will definitely use them again”

“Victoria was absolutely amazing with my pup! She sent updates the entire time to ensure comfortability. My puppy had so much fun staying with her and we will for sure use Victoria in the future!”

“Michael is always dependable. He is updates me with photos and takes great care of my dog. I have used him several time and have nothing but great things to say. Thanks for always being available and providing such amazing care.”

“Kathleen was great. She kept us updated each day of our trip how Charlie was doing and sent pics of him. Highly recommend her for watching your pet! It was so nice knowing he was being taken care of properly while we were away! Will definitely rebook in the future! Thanks Kathleen!”

“Lisa was wonderful with Theo my cat. He responded very well to her gentle, soft spoken, and kind manner. He often slept with her and would make bread while sitting on her lap. She has plenty of space for him to run and play. The thing I'm most grateful for is the fact she doesn't have carpeting. One very unique and creative thing she did was using a small canvas she'd take the colors from his coat and applied them to the canvas and put the canvas in a zip lock bag. Than using Theo's paws would let him create a special piece of artwork. Which she gave to me when I picked him up. She is truly Amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to leave my fur babies with her again.”

“Ceecee was AMAZING. I needed a sitter at the last minute and she responded asap and was able to accommodate me. She was so great with koda and so sweet. Koda is a big boy and she took him in with no questions asked and updated me through out the stay. She made sure he felts safe and loved. I would 100% recommend booking with her.”

“On meeting Jim and his wife we instantly knew our 12 year old dog would be well cared for. On return from our trip, our dog barely said hello to us, then ran back to Jim. We feel very fortunate to have found Jim and highly recommended him.”

About: I grew up with dogs since I was born. My own dog, Trip has been with me since I was 18 years old. 2 years ago I adopted my first cat, Mako and fell in absolute love. I am happy to provide your pets the same love and care I do for my own while you are away. I am currently working full-time M-F, 9-4. But i have flexibility to stop home for lunches. I can board at my home anytime with proper consultation and care instructions. I have a 2 bedroom home with small fenced in yard. As well as a friendly dog and cat to keep your loved companion at ease.
About: I have taken care of pets my entire life. I’ve had dogs, cats and fish. I’ve cared for lizards and small furry friends as well. I will always stop to pet a dog and I’ve had animals come up to me out in the wild on multiple occasions. Although I currently do not have a pet, I love sitting for my friends. I’ve cared for all size and age of dog from a few months to 16 years. I believe pets are family and should be treated as such. Im currently off for the summer but teaching summer school for the month of July. My schedule is pretty open and much if what I do have scheduled is flexible. Although I live in an apartment, my complex is extremely pet friendly with 4 dog parks and a full walking loop with poop bags around the entire property.
“Michelle kept me constantly updated throughout the day/night without me even asking. Sampson is an old dog and will often not eat in a new environment. He ate both meals and came home in a great mood! I will absolutely be taking him back there!!!”

“I can’t possibly say enough good things about Marci and her family and how they took such good care of our two wonderful dogs for 10 days. This was the longest we have ever left the dogs and Marci made us feel so reassured while we were away with unbelievable updates pictures and videos. They showed incredible love to our dogs and we are forever grateful I cannot recommend Marci enough! Thank you Marci and family! ❤️”

“Cindy was amazing! Very tentative with pictures and updates. Luna wanted nothing to do with me when she came 😂😂 she wanted to go back! lol Cindy made it convenient by picking up and dropping Lu off since it was going to be logistically a nightmare for me! She even noticed that Lu has some hip issue with her age and gave some great advice, thankfully I was already in the process of getting her checked out but it was great that she noticed too. Will definitely be rebooking!”

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
