“Tyler was friendly and professional to both me and Bailey. Bailey is a active 2 yr. old and Tyler seamed up to the challenge. He also has ample room on his property for outdoor activites, yet he still took our Labrador Retriever to the dog park. I give Tyler A+. If the need arises again Tyler will get the NOD.”

“Kathleen was great. She kept us updated each day of our trip how Charlie was doing and sent pics of him. Highly recommend her for watching your pet! It was so nice knowing he was being taken care of properly while we were away! Will definitely rebook in the future! Thanks Kathleen!”

“Katie, John and their family were wonderful. Macie was so well taken care of we were afraid she wouldn’t want to come home!! They will be our go to Rover family from now on.”

“I booked Blanca based on the excellent reviews and she didn't disappoint. Great home and family to watch our fur babies for 2 days. She took a lot of pictures and it was obvious they got a lot of loving.”

“Tiffany was Excellent with Max. I was on short notice so we had to skip the meet and greet, but Tiffany made sure to get me the service I needed and was more than welcoming as it was my first time using rover and max’s first time being with someone else. Everything was as smooth as it could be. 10 stars!!!⭐️. Definitely my go to now whenever I need to run out of town for work.”

“Lisa was wonderful with my Peppy! Snuggles, car ride, art work, and plenty of love by the family! Lisa really is awesome and very easy going to deal with. Your pet would be privileged and spoiled to be in her care :) Thanks again!!!”

About: I’m an experienced dog groomer with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’m comfortable with bathing, brushing, nail care, deshedding, handling, and keeping pets safe and comfortable. I’m also passionate about providing attentive, loving care and making sure every pet feels happy and secure. I have Open Availability and can be very flexible when it comes to any type of care , just shoot me a message to work out a schedule that best fits both parties ,Thank you! I have all resources needed for your Pet if necessary. Crates, treats, leashes and also wouldn’t mind purchasing anything new that is needed for your pet.
About: I have cared for pets for over 20 years in a variety of settings. My own pets, as well as friends, family members, and neighbors. I have also been previously employed by a professional dog walking company, which I remained with for two years. My responsibilities included walking the dogs, taking them to the park, feeding, and staying overnight in many cases while owners were away. I would also care for cats, rabbits, and other animals. I have experience with medication administration, such as eyedrops and pills. I love animals and I have a very calm, nurturing disposition. Safety and snuggles are my two priorities! I work full time from my home on a flexible schedule. I have the ability to provide a ton of attention for your pet if they are here with me. I am also able to easily stay in others homes due to my job. It's incredibly important to me to make sure that your pet feels safe, loved and cared for. Pets are like family, and I know how hard it is to leave them sometimes, especially with a new person. I have a two story home and they are free to roam around as they please, lay on the couch, sit out on the deck (weather permitting). If I am at your home, I follow your care instructions very carefully and I am respectful your space. I have an 8 year old standard goldendoodle who is very friendly. However, if your dog may not get along with another dog, I am able to take mine to his grandpa's house to watch him so I can prioritize yours.
“This is the first time we leave our little dog Lila with a dog sitter. We left her for a day and it was a fun day for her. Jada was amazing. She spoiled her and kept us updated with pictures and texts all day long. We will definitely use her services again in the future. Thank you so much Jada.”

“Jousline did an amazing job caring for my French Bulldog, Jorden. She was attentive, reliable, and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Jorden can be a little particular, but Jousline was patient and handled everything professionally. I also appreciated the updates and communication, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Jousline to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Karrie sent me so many pictures, I loved it. She was open and honest to any incidents that happened good or bad, Gray tends to get herself into a few messes and I was notified of them which made me feel at ease and able to trust Karrie. Gray was living the life at her stay. Thank you again!!”

“Mariah was beyond amazing! This was our first time leaving our 2 year old Beagle/Basset Hound mix with anyone other than family, and we left him with Mariah for a week while we were on vacation. We can’t say enough about how caring Mariah is and how good she was with keeping us updated and making sure that our dog had a great visit. Not only did our dog have the time of his life on his puppy vacation, but he was so sad when he had to leave all of his new friends! I would very highly recommend Mariah to anyone and will definitely be using her services again in the future. Thank you Mariah!!”

“Our frenchie (Homer) stayed with Caroline over Labor Day Weekend and she was great! Very communicative and she also sent us pictures of Homer throughout the weekend which was very thoughtful. Drop off and pick up were easy. When we picked him up we could tell he didn’t want to leave and he had such a good time with Caroline and her family. We would highly recommend Caroline and if we lived closer would use her more often to watch Homer.”

“Once again Diana has helped sooo much in our quest for dogsitting services as we complete our multi-move until our hone is ready. Harley cones back revived, rejuvenated and as of today actually now knows the “drop it” command thanks to Diana. I had never had a sitter with their own dog but i can say i will actuakly look for it in the future because i now see the benefit. I would not hesitate to leave my pet in her hands as she is friendly, flexible and extremely pet knowledgeable! Who can ask for more. I also love her pet pics! I just hope we settle close enough to be able to have her sit more often.”

“Cindy was very nice and welcoming. She provided photos and updates of Louie, and he seemed to have enjoyed his stay at her home. I would book with Cindy again.”

“Debbie was so great with Tillie. She played outside tossing her the ball, which Tillie loves. Her yard is beautiful and safe with a high fence and lush green grass. Even a shady gazebo for lounging. Debbie laughed at Tillie’s huge bed and crate, but took it in stride. She is a super nice person and embraced our slightly spoiled girl.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ventnor City
Shannon was such a help for us at the last minute, on a road trip to the shore when we needed pet care on really short notice. She was incredibly accommodating with us, and did a great job watching our dog for a night. Shannon is responsive, communicative, and friendly, and it was clear that our dog was having a great time when we picked her up. I'd highly recommend Shannon for watching your pets while down the shore!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
