“Maria really goes above and beyond with communication, care, and cute photos!! She is a lifesaver and always makes sure my dog has everything she needs to be comfortable after her walks!! She’s also been super great with keeping consistency with walk training which is a huge help!”

“Sara is the best! I have two dogs and one pulls, and she’s been amazing walking both of them. She is so sweet and very considerate of my home. She is quick to respond and sends the best updates whenever she walks my pups. Highly recommend booking with Sara!”

About: Hi my name is Katelyn but I go by Nova! I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 8 years old and can’t imagine not having one with me. I now have just 2 cats and a bully mix. I’ve taken care of mainly herding mixes so I can safely say that dogs that are “a lot of dog “ are my specialty. Positive reinforcement based Training has also been a special interest of mine for a few years now and so I’m quite knowledgeable on that subject as well! I work full time pet sitting and dog walking! Because of this I’m pretty much always available to care for or walk your fur baby! I will care for your animals with the utmost care, responsibility, safety, and detail as if they were my own. I’m unable to provide boarding services at the moment but I still do pet sitting!
“I had such a great experience! One of my dogs is usually very shy around new people, but she was so gentle and patient with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog walker, and I plan on reaching out again if I need help in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of others’ dogs (young and very old) as repeat clients for over 10 years - just not on Rover. My shih tzu passed away last November at the age of 17.5 and he battled kidney disease for over a year. His senior care became a top priority for me so I’m very familiar with dog meds, IV fluids, diapers, etc. We miss him terribly. I’m a stay at home mom with two young kids, an Aussie dog named Odin, and a cat named Bunny. We are home all the time and would be happy to have your fur baby join us! We have a big backyard and the park/greenway is a 5 minute walk from our house so we try to get outside as much as we can. Our yard is partially fenced in so would ensure keeping your pet on a leash. There are a few dog parks within walking distance too and we do lots of park/greenway walks.
“Halley was amazing!! Great communication and went above and beyond for our pup!! It was raining and she dried our pup after his walk! We will definitely look to book Halley again! Highly recommended!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I just moved to Chicago and miss my dogs dearly. I figured this would be a good way to get my dog fix! My work is hybrid with flexible WFH days and available weekends for pet care! I am flexible and can most likely work around your needs. I live in an apartment so I am not in a good environment to take care of dogs at my home but I am more than willing to take care of them in their own homes!
About: Hi there! My name is Ana. I know the feeling and uncertainty of leaving of my pet with anyone when I travel or need it. That’s why I started Rover. My goal is to make sure you can be confident leaving your pet in safe company and companionship while you enjoy or be fully present in whatever it is you are leaving for. ***Big on taking in only 1-2 pets at time, my reason for this is I take my care for the animals seriously. I want to give your pet the attentiveness it deserves and extra care.*** I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Starting with my own pets, then helping family and friends, and eventually fostering cats/kittens and dogs/pupies for several years. I’m deeply experienced with all kinds of personalities:from playful puppies to shy rescues and I know how to make animals feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Whether it’s daily walks, cuddle time, or special attention for nervous pets, I treat every animal like they’re my own. You can count on me for reliable, attentive, and compassionate care. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or just spending quiet time with animals, it’s second nature to me. I’m used to adjusting my routine to meet each pet’s needs, whether that means early morning walks, medication schedules, or extra cuddle time. I work from home, so that’s super helpful. Also my fiance wfh a lot so he loves helping! I treat every pet like a little soul in my care—whether they’re staying with me or I’m in their space. In my home, I create a calm, cozy vibe with safe spaces, soft spots to rest, and plenty of love (plus playtime, if they’re into that!). When I’m in your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely so they feel grounded and secure. I move with their energy—whether that means zoomies, belly rubs, or quiet companionship.
About: I have been taking care of animals the past 7 years in Nebraska, Atlanta, and now Charlotte. I work from home and my goal is to spend as much time as I can with your pet. I also LOVE taking pictures and will send you many while you are away. NOTE: I can also care for other animals other than dogs and cats. I have also watched guinea pigs, bearded dragons, rabbits, and fish. Do not hesitate to reach out your other furry or non-furry friends. I work from home Monday-Friday from 8-5 pm. This gives me a very flexible schedule to accommodate to your furry friends needs. If I have other plans or things going on around the time of your services I will be sure to always communicate those. While I am a guest in your home I try and maintain all routines for your pets. This helps them remain calm while their favorite people are away. Your home will remain and be returned to you in the same shape as when you left.
About: I wholeheartedly believe in the notion that dogs are family and should be treated as such. I've been around dogs since I was born and taken care of them since I was 11. Right now, I work part-time jobs, so I have a great amount of time to fit quality care for your babies into my own schedule. I do my best to make sure your pets are happy. I offer companionship with my own fur baby, as well as all the toys and pet supplies one could possibly need. Long walks, special treats, and lots of play puts a smile on their face.
About: I've taken care of my senior kitty, Hope, for years, and have pet sat for friends regularly. I'd love to meet your sweet fur child! I am part-time in grad school and have a very flexible schedule! Mornings, afternoons and evenings all regularly available. I have reliable transportation as well. I would give your home the utmost respect! I also do not mind doing small household tasks like bringing in packages, taking out trash, watering plants, etc.
Smallwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
Ariane received a key to my apartment day one of our first visit, I was confident in her ability’s to take great care of my dog. She was on point, professional, communicative, and attentive to detail. I was very impressed with all the questions asked and care and thought into making sure all bases were covered. My dog loves her and I receive the happiest of photos! I will continue using Ariane in comfort knowing I’m receiving the best care for my dog for his lunch walks!

Alix was amazing! Finny absolutely loved Alix! Alix was always on time everyday to pickup Finny and let him out. She brought him all over town on his daily walks which he loves. I would highly recommend recommend Alix for any Rover service! We will absolutely be booking Alix again.

madison was so communicative and flexible when i asked her to walk my dog sully! you can tell she is a animal lover to her core and i felt at ease knowing my pup was in her care! sent lots of cute pictures and kept me updated. very sweet personality- would definitely ask her to walk my boy again!

Julia went above and beyond! I mentioned that my dog doesn’t usually eat when I’m gone, so she was able to get him to eat by putting some of his food on the ground and moving his food bowl to the center of the floor. I also just moved into a new place and had ordered a gate to prevent him from getting out, but I didn’t have time to assemble it before I had to leave, so she assembled the gate for me. She asked plenty of upon our meet and greet. Lastly, she left detailed notes after each visit. I would highly recommend her!
