About: There is nothing I love more than taking care or sweet fur babies. I’ve had personal experience taking care of dogs of any size for over 11 years. I have one small dog of my own that is old and very easy going. I currently work full time with kids with Autism. I usually work from 10-4. I prefer dogs that are crate trained and that can be left alone for a few hours. I am also available to dog walk before and after work! I have a large backyard area, however; it is not fully fenced. I make sure dogs are leashed when we hang out in the backyard!

About: I love all animals but especially dogs. I’ve had dogs in my house for as long as I can remember. I know your fur baby is family and I’ll treat them like one. I am a stay at home dog grandmother and available most of the time. I do travel to see my daughter occasionally but always have plenty of advance notice. I don’t have a fenced yard but can take your pup(s) on short walks. Dogs are welcome anywhere they feel the most comfortable in my home, including couches.
About: I have many years of experience in rescuing, sitting, and rehabbing animals from domestic to wild. I love what I do and my children (ages 11-12) have been brought up the same way. They are very knowledgeable and passionate about all animals! While in my care, you can expect individualized compassionate care! I make sure your fur baby/s have fun, feel loved, safe and blend like one of the pack! They can roam free in our fenced in back or front yard, lounge on the screened in deck or cozy up on the couches inside with many plushy dog beds throughout our home. I don't crate unless requested so roaming through the house is just what they will do. Fully supervised of course! Our home is literally their home! I can also offer to help with anxiety, trauma and or sibling rivalry at no extra cost. It’s my passion to help animals :) I have lots of energy, free time and would love to give your pet/s every moment of the day! Your baby/s will feel right at home with all the love and attention received :) When it comes to pet sitting my kids (ages 11-12) and I are a full time team and we work together to make sure your baby/s are fully supervised, entertained, and even spoiled! We have a big fenced back and front yard, a screened in deck, lounge areas throughout the house, grain free kibbles, home made treats, filtered water, plushy beds and secured home with cameras and security system. We strive to give your baby/s a safely wonderful and comfy stay with total peace of mind for you!
About: I have years of hands-on experience working in two professional boarding facilities where I cared for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages. During that time, I was responsible for feeding routines, exercise schedules, cleaning and sanitization, and giving pups the affection and enrichment they need to feel comfortable away from home. I’m trained in safely administering medications, monitoring behavior, and recognizing signs of stress or discomfort. Whether your dog is a high-energy adventurer or a laid back cuddler, I know how to keep them happy, safe, and cared for during every walk or check-in! Pet care is a natural part of my weekly routine! I have dedicated daily time blocks specifically for dog walks and check-ins so I can consistently provide reliable care for every pet parent I work with. Fresh air and staying active are already part of my lifestyle, so bringing pups along for exercise and outdoor enrichment makes it even better. I prioritize clear communication and punctual visits, and I’m always happy to send photo updates so you know your pet is having a great day:) Your pup’s needs will always come first! From potty breaks and playtime to gentle companionship while you’re away. Safety and trust are my top priorities during every visit. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level so they always feel secure while in my care. During check-ins, I follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, and household rules exactly as you outline them. For walks, I use secure leash handling, avoid unsafe areas or unknown dogs, and closely monitor your pet’s behavior and surroundings. I always ensure doors, gates, and crates are properly secured before leaving. With reliable communication and detailed updates after every visit, you can feel confident that your pet and your home are in responsible hands.

“Amanda was absolutely amazing! She cared for my two huskies with their little quirks perfectly! She is super accommodating and her three dogs are fabulous! Anyone who stays with her should know how much fun their pups will have!”

About: Hi! I’m Tiffany, and dogs truly are my passion. I’m the proud dog mom of three pups…two of whom are rescues. Through patience, consistency, and structure, I’ve worked through anxiety, reactivity, and other behavioral challenges with my own dogs. Those experiences have taught me that every dog is unique, and that calm leadership, routine, and understanding go a long way. When your pup stays with me, they become part of our family. ⸻ Why Dogs Love Staying Here 🏡 Large, fully fenced yard for supervised play and exploration 🐾 Three friendly resident dogs who help create a balanced, social environment (when appropriate) 🚶 Structured walks and individualized exercise every day 🚲 For dogs that enjoy it and are physically suited, I love taking them on safe bike runs to burn energy in a healthy, fulfilling way. 🧠 Daily enrichment, confidence-building activities, and mental stimulation 😴 Plenty of rest and relaxation so your pup isn’t overstimulated ❤️ Endless love, affection, and one-on-one attention ⸻ My Philosophy I don’t believe dogs thrive from nonstop excitement. They thrive with a healthy balance of exercise, structure, mental enrichment, rest, and affection. That’s why every stay includes opportunities to practice calm behaviors like waiting at doorways, relaxing on place, good leash manners, and appropriate play. My goal is to help your dog leave feeling happier, more confident, and more relaxed than when they arrived. Coming Soon: A canine confidence course designed to build coordination, confidence, and provide an extra layer of mental enrichment. I don’t believe in simply “watching” dogs. I believe in investing in them. Every stay includes exercise, enrichment, structure, and lots of love, so your pup leaves mentally fulfilled, physically exercised, and excited to come back. My days naturally revolve around dogs! I work from home most days, which means your pup won’t be left alone for long stretches. My three dogs are a huge part of my daily routine, and every day includes structured exercise, enrichment, rest, and quality time. I believe dogs thrive on routine, so each guest enjoys a predictable schedule that helps them feel safe, confident, and relaxed. Whether your pup loves adventure or prefers a quieter pace, I’ll tailor their day to fit their personality and energy level. Your dog’s safety and well-being will always come first. I have three friendly dogs of my own (two are rescues), and working through their unique personalities has taught me the value of patience, structure, and understanding. My home has a large, fully fenced yard for supervised play, and I carefully introduce dogs to make sure everyone is comfortable. I’m passionate about creating calm, balanced dogs…not overstimulated ones. Throughout the day we practice simple manners like waiting at doors, settling on a place, calm greetings, and respectful interactions. Every activity is based on your dog’s comfort level and individual needs. Exercise is customized for each guest. That might mean neighborhood walks, fetch, enrichment games, confidence-building activities, or, for dogs who enjoy it and are physically suited, a fun bike run with me. I always prioritize safety over intensity.

My job is fully work from home so I am available to watch dogs often with how much I’m home. I don’t have a pet of my own at the moment so love having one around! I have a house, yard and a nice neighbourhood for walks & play. Very dog friendly! I love going on walks with them. I’m also open to taking them to the beach if they like that!

“Katherine agreed to watch Oakley at a moments notice and I couldn’t have been more pleased. She was an absolute pleasure and took such great care of Oakley. He was walked several times a day and was content enough to nap. He was excited to go back on day 2 and I knew it was because he was treated so well. I highly recommend Katherine for your pets needs.”

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
