About: Hello! 👋 I'm brand new to Rover, but well- experienced to pet care. I love all animals and have been professionally taking care of homes and animals for a year now all around the USA! I'm excited to start my Rover journey and can't wait to meet you and your fur babies! I've owned pets pretty much my whole life and this is the first time I've been without my own, as the loss of my last sweet boy was pretty deep for me. I've cared for friends and families dogs, cats, birds and homes throughout the years. I've always been the one asked to watch the pets and I'm happy to do it! I have experience with many breeds thanks to life experience & from being a 5-star sitter on TrustedHouseSitters for about a year. I love loving on the fur babies, and am so grateful for the opportunity to care for your pets. I currently work from home part time. I am a certified past life regression practitioner and also specialize in early trauma treatment using EFT/TFT/CTT and Energy Medicine techniques. I also do animal (and human) Reiki as a Certified Reiki Master and am super happy to give your pet Reiki upon request. I come to your home because I find pets are more comfortable in their own spaces, which helps keep anxieties down. You are welcome to let me know your pets specific needs, and I will gladly accommodate those needs. I find most dogs and cats warm up to me pretty quickly. My friends and family joke that I'm the animal whisperer because whenever I'm around, all the dogs and cats are found near me. When I move, they tend to follow. I will not schedule your pets care too close to another appointment because I believe pets take time to care for, which means sometimes they need a little more than the schedules time block. Hurrying just leads to less than stellar care, which no one has time for.

“This was our first time using Rover and we could not have chosen a better sitter for our 2 "boys", than Katrina. She was extremely punctual in the daily visits and our boys loved her. We appreciated the daily updates and pics that showed our fur babies enjoying her company. It is obvious that she is an animal lover and we enjoyed meeting her for a pre-visit, which put our minds at ease about leaving them for the week. “Rachel just took care of our 2 dogs for 5 days when we went on vacation over the 4th of July holiday. Both dogs seemed to love her and looked happy and content in the pictures she sent. She also texted us updates a couple of times a day. During this time, Rachel was not feeling well and ended up having to go to an urgent care to get an antibiotic, but she continued her responsibilities of taking care of our pets so as to not spoil our vacation. Then, during the 4th night at our house, there was a terrible storm and a possible tornado very close to our house. Rachel had to keep our dogs calm, as both of our dogs are very afraid of storms and other loud noises. She had also had to deal with keeping them calm during fireworks. During the storm, our electricity was knocked out. Rachel mentioned to us in an update that our house had lost electricity, but never complained or told us anything that would worry us. However, she had no way to warm up food, no lights at night, no AC or TV, couldn’t even run a fan. She was going out into her car to keep her phone charged. We told her where candles, flashlights, and external.batteries were that she could use while we waited for updates on the electricity. On the 5th day we realized how uncomfortable it must be for her so we decided to come home a day early to relieve Rachel, as she had endured 28 hours without electricity in our house without complaining or worrying us at all and we didn’t know when the power might be restored. The whole time , we knew the dogs were well taken care of. Rachel even waited to leave until we got back because more storms were coming and she didn’t want the dogs to be alone during the storms. I was so impressed with Rachel and will definitely be using her again. Rachel stayed with her commitment to us through some very tough situations, never complaining and staying positive in her communications with us so we were never worried.”
