“Well, what can I say . . . . Anna was amazing! She's a conscientious, caring, and brilliant young woman. She took care of my senior cat that needed somewhat complicated medicine twice a day in such a way that I had absolutely no worries about my cat for the whole week I was away. I highly recommend her and will be using her again for sure. Book her with confidence. You won't be sorry! So glad I found you Anna!”

About: I have grooming, training, & boarding experience. I’m experienced in administering medications; pills, eye drops, shots, etc. Animals are my peace so I’d love to give a peace of mind to others😊 I’m available full time, there are currently 6 dogs & 2 cats in my house & the pups get outside about 3-5 times a day depending on the weather. I also have a 3 year old whos with me 3 days out of the week. I have a fenced in yard, all of my pups & my sisters are crated when not supervised. I would prefer crates brought when staying with me just for safety reasons! & if I were to watch your pup in your hone they’d get the same love & care they receive from you😊
“We booked 30 min drop ins. She used the full time to feed, potty and take on a quick walk giving them all the short attention she could in the 30 min allotted. Very happy and booked on such short notice.”
“Koula did a great job! It was so nice to come home after a stressful trip to have our cats well cared for and happy! She did everything asked and I will definitely be using her again for future visits.”
“This was our first time using Rover and we could not have chosen a better sitter for our 2 "boys", than Katrina. She was extremely punctual in the daily visits and our boys loved her. We appreciated the daily updates and pics that showed our fur babies enjoying her company. It is obvious that she is an animal lover and we enjoyed meeting her for a pre-visit, which put our minds at ease about leaving them for the week. I would highly recommend her services and have no hesitations about using her services in the future. Thank you for taking such great care of our babies!”

“We had such an amazing experience and I truly can’t recommend her enough! From the very beginning, she made me feel completely comfortable leaving my pets in her care. She constantly kept me updated with messages and pictures, which meant so much to me and really helped ease my anxiety while I was away. Not only did she take wonderful care of my dog, but she also made sure my cats were fed and cared for too, which I appreciated more than I can say. You can genuinely tell she love animals and treat them like their own. Coming home to happy, well cared for pets gave me so much peace of mind. I’m beyond grateful for the kindness, communication, and attention she gave my babies. I would absolutely trust her again in the future and I will be using her again ! She was amazingggggggg ☺️”

“Emma was amazing! Our pup could not have been in better hands. She went above and beyond in every way. Absolutely awesome job. We are definitely recommending and definitely using Emma again if we need a dog sitter.”

About: I started working with animals 8 years ago as a volunteer at a rescue barn. I've volunteered with about 3 other rescues and shelters, from walking dogs to monitoring health conditions. I just want to show all those little furry family members the love they deserve, and make sure they can be well taken care of if you are unable or temporarily absent. I currently only work 7-2 on weekends. Otherwise, I'm wide open and would love to run and play with your pets! We love treats and I'm a quick learner. Your routine, becomes my routine. I prefer to get a play by play of each animal's daily life at home so I can most relate their stay with me in my home to it. From feeding times to walking times and even play times, I love to have a set schedule to make all our lives easier. Of course flexibility is a must, and I'm happy to follow any needs that are seen fit because the animal's well being is top priority.
“Bella was prompt at responding to messages, she spent the requested amount of time with my cat, and performed all duties like cleaning the litter and playing with Molly. She sent photos and videos to help me stay connected and see that my cat was doing well.”

“Loved Steffanie!! She's so caring and compassionate, she took good care of my Abbey and will be helping take care of her after her knee surgery. Highly recommend! Shannon B”

“I don’t have enough WONDERFUL words to describe Tammy! She is SO sweet and loving to our kitty, Mickey! She sends informative messages and great pictures each visit and makes an effort to get to know our kitty and what is needed to make him feel comfortable while we’re gone. We feel SO comfortable leaving our home and Mickey in Tammy’s hands!”
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up caring for our family dog, geese and ducks! Lately, i've committed myself to helping dogs and cats feel loved, safe and secure while their pet parents are away. I have worked at a local veterinary clinic in their boarding department caring for overnight and long term clients. I previously worked at a local animal shelter for a year, where I learned the true responsibility of taking care of animals in all shapes and sizes. Senior animals have such a special place in my heart! Animal happiness and safety is a main priority of mine. I am looking to take care of your animals part time and as needed! I have plenty of experience with all kinds of dogs and cats! I have 3 dogs currently, a shepherd mix, husky mix and a mini pin doberman alongside 2 cats! We have a large fenced in yard which allows us to let our dogs get their energy out and enjoy some time alone outside, while we continue to keep a close eye on them. The dogs are never out of my sight, I know how mischievous they tend to be.

“Shay is very kind and gentle- the perfect personality to watch my extraordinarily nervous kitty. ? She spent a good bit of time with him, trying let him know it that it was safe to leave his comfort zone and given a few more days, she may have been successful. I appreciate her efforts. She did all that was asked of her and sent pics so I could see that he was ok. I much appreciate her help and will seek her service again in the future. ?”

“Nat and Max were able to do a couple of drop in visits for our 4 month old golden, Rosie, when our usual sitter was unavailable. They were flexible with coming over for a meet and greet, were prompt during drop ins, and sent pictures to show our girl having a great time. Will definitely book them again!”

About: I have experience caring for both cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes. Family, friends, and others have entrusted me with their pet's care. I am looking forward to doing pet care full time. I have a very flexible schedule and I would be available anytime of the week. While caring for pets in clients' homes, I make sure they are fed and hydrated, get plenty of playtime, potty breaks when needed, and I can administer medications. I will also give them all the attention they need and deserve.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Slater. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
