“Gregory and his son are excellent at what they do! They were great with our senior dog and our energetic younger dog! They stayed to play with them outside when the weather was nice, and even came by late at night for our senior dog to have an extra trip to potty! Highly recommend!”

About: I have been the neighborhood pet sitter for years. Neighbors trusted me with their senior dogs of 11 and 14, their dogs that had unending energy, puppies of around 1 or so, and cats and even fish too. I love going to the Greenville humane society and walking dogs of all kinds that have no home, and I have also worked on a couple farms taking care of dogs and cats and other farm animals as well. I am a hard worker and eager to take on new jobs. I work part time and am also involved in sports but I am flexible and willing to work with clients on times I can care for their pets as they need. I love spending time with dogs especially, so I’ll happily take time out of my day to make sure your pets get the care and attention they need. I do not offer in house services, as my house is not an adequate environment for other dogs, but I am more than willing to come to your house
“Nicole took great care of Dewey & Terra while we were on a cruise! She was always on time and went above and beyond in taking care of them. Definitely recommend booking her services!!”

“Although I was initially worried about leaving my cats for several days to go on a trip, Elizabeth put my mind at ease. When she came over to meet Jem and Nesta for the first time, she was very friendly and seemed very relatable since she is a cat mom as well. I was comforted by the detailed updates and adorable photos Elizabeth shared of my two kitties during her visits, and I definitely recommend booking services with her if you have not already :)”

“Kaileigh is the BEST pet sitter! She took good care of Miaui and handled unexpected situations with grace and kindness! I highly recommend her and hooe to be able to use her again. Thank you, Kaileigh, from me and Miaui! ❤️”
“Talen had a great connection with my fur babies. One is timid and usually it takes a few days for a sitter to be able to touch her but she came around a little faster with Talen.”

“Kerstin gave our 2 large dogs and 1 cat attention, dinner, and potty breaks. Since this was our first sit for us, she took in all the instructions and did not seem to have any troubles. She also gets kudos for finding our home which is off the beaten path. We would contact her to sit again in the future.”

About: I love all dogs, big and small. I currently have my foster fail Enzo from the Greenville Humane Society so your little (or big) ones will have a friend to play with. I have a soft spot for pitties and chihuahuas. I used to share my world with two wonderful pitties (cannot wait to see them at Rainbow Bridge). I would walk them at least four miles every day or go hiking on weekends. Enzo is now two so we chase balls and play with toys on our land and will go hiking when we can. We like to paddle board and climb mountains! I have been the designated furbaby sitter for all family pets. I love caring for animals and would love to interact with your little or big ones. It’s a doggie world and I’m living in it and loving every moment. I am currently a Greenville Tech nursing student. I am free on weekends and like to do outdoor activities if the weather is cool enough. Pet sitting is a part-time job I love. In my clients home, I will make sure all rules are followed. I will walk their baby on a leash and try to avoid over stimulating scenarios. I will provide their baby enough exercise so they are nice and tired.
About: I have always had such a profound love for dogs: growing up, we had 4 large Weimaraners who were energetic, loving, and most definitely required a lot of walks and baths. I've been a regular volunteer at a local animal shelter for a few years and have extensive experience in caring for pets, as I've cared for our own dog at home, a sweet 12 year old who still acts like she's a 3 year old puppy. I am currently a medical student at USC SOMG. I would love to get to know and to walk and take care of your pet! :) I am available for walks on weekdays after 6:30 pm and am free all day on the weekends. I am also available per request--I have a flexible schedule and I am more than willing to work with specific day/time requests! I would love to be able to care for your pets at your home--I want to foster an environment where they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for! I will do all tasks related to bathing, feeding, walking, playing with them, etc. To me, pets are truly family, and I understand and know how important they and their needs are.

About: I have cared for over 30 some animals since i was a little kid, from dogs and cats to goats, chickens, ducks, fish, and even a pigeon. I’ve been intimately involved with training multiple dogs and have been the sole walker and caretaker to many of them. Currently home for college, I am free basically 24/7 and prepared to make caring for your pets my focus. If need be, I am prepared to help out on short notice. I make sure to be very active with pets and make sure they get all the walking and playing they need. I am receptive and observant of their wants and needs.
About: I have lived with dogs for many years and also enjoyed being with my friends’ dogs! I am a careful worker and I love animals. I am currently in school, but I will be able to spend quality time with your pets! I am available throughout the week and can work within my schedule to fit your needs! I have two Labrador dogs at my house who are relaxed and willing to make friends. I do not own any pets at school. I love walking pets and playing with them.
About: I have been taking care of cats and dogs since I was a freshmen in high school. I love it so much and have made many genuine connections with the families and the animals. I’m currently enrolled at Winthrop University and have plenty of free time to come spend time with the cat or dog and can stay with them for multiple hours a day I feel like it’s very important to make the pet feel safe and loved even when someone they don’t know is in their house. So I always try to stick to the same routine they would have if the owners were home!
About: I care for animals of all ages. I'm here to give your furry loved one all the attention and cuddles they deserve! My goal is to help pets have so much fun that they don't have time to miss you! I currently work full time but I am free after 2pm for walks and drop-ins. I'm an early riser so I'm available for house sitting all week and super early morning drop-ins. I follow the client's instructions exactly. If I have questions I don't hesitate to ask because it's better to be safe than sorry. Pets can be very particular sometime and I want this to be an awesome experience for everyone!!
About: I bring 7+ years of caring for dogs and cats. I’m dependable, gentle, and attentive. I treat every pet like family and prioritize safety and comfort. I am currently working part-time at an elementary school so I have days that are completely free where I could be taking care of other pets. I will ensure the pets safety and happiness comes before anything. I have had my own dog for seven years and I know how much he means to me so I can understand the trust that is given to any pet sitter.
About: I am a 27 year old husband and father of 2 boys. I am a veterinary nurse who works with dogs and cats everyday. I love what I do and consider myself lucky to be able to make a living working with animals. I know that most owners feel the same way as i do about their dogs/cats when they have to leave them in others hands. Owners are going to worry when they are away and it is up to the person responsible for their pet to make them feel at ease. When your pet is with me you can know that they are in good hands and that I will do everything I can to make them feel safe. I know all dogs are different and some are more frightened when their owners are away. Some dogs need more affection than others while some just want you to throw them the ball. I take pride in making them feel safe and as if they were with their best friend. I promise you i will keep your pet safe and sound. Even more than that i promise you that them and I will have fun! Thank you. I work Monday through Friday with Thursdays off. I can always come by in the mornings, on lunch, and afternoon and nights. I can be as flexible as needed. I will always keep an eye on the pet and make sure they are seen as if their own human was there. I take pride that I have worked in the vet field for over a decade and pretty much grew up in it

About: Dogs can never get enough love and attention. Being a dog mom to 4 fur babies myself I'm well equipped to provide your pup the love, attention, and exercise they need! I am here for them. Doggie daycares are expensive all while providing homogenized care and exposing your pup to too many risks. A dogsitter like myself provides attention while you're working, long walks to keep them healthy and active, or to play at the park to burn off excess energy; all to suit your dogs individual needs and your budget. I know how hard it is to work all day long and worry about your dog at home going long hours without a walk. I'm available for walks every day of the week, with limited hours friday and saturday evenings. Discounted rates available for bookings lasting more than 5-7 days/walks if you need walks on a regular schedule!
About: I have grown up with animals in my house ever since I was born! I've always had a strong love and care for animals. I currently am learning more about puppies with two of my own and have experience with senior care dogs! I'm currently a part-time student and have a part-time job at a retail store. I'm always done with work or school by 1:30 p.m. making sure to have plenty of time for your furry friends! I'm also off on weekends and would be available to house sit. Each dog is different and has special request. For my dogs we have a fenced in yard and a shared crate. However, they tend to use the backyard only for playing and walks are for the restroom! I would ask the owner what is best for their animal and cater to those requests.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 960 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Highland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Highland. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
