About: I have had a dog as long as I can remember. I have had many dogs and a few cats over the years and spent 7 years fostering dogs while living in DC. During my fostering, I had the opportunity to train puppies, learn how to introduce dogs into homes with other dogs, and care for senior pups, keeping one of my fosters until she passed. I love all kinds of animals and will take care of your pets like I do my own - with lots of love, a few treats, and tons of attention! About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up caring for our family dog, geese and ducks! Lately, i've committed myself to helping dogs and cats feel loved, safe and secure while their pet parents are away. I worked at a local veterinary clinic in their boarding department caring for overnight and long term clients. “Shana was very accomodating, taking a last minute request for dog sitting after our normal sitter cancelled. We are yearly sponsors of the Scottish Games at Furman, which is an all day event from 8:30 to 7:30, the Saturday before Memorial Day. I sent requests to four sitters on Rover that morning that were close to our house in Taylors. Two responded they were booked, even though their profiles confirmed availability, and two never responded. It then occurred to me that it would be easier to find a sitter closer to Furman for faster p/u after the event. I messaged Shana at 8:28 am and at 8:30 she replied “Hi there! You can drop him off now if you like.“ Her responsiveness was incredible, and greatly appreciated. Her tiny home community was so cute and inviting, and her location made for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. Our Dachshund, Bandit, obviously found her home (and her lap) very comfortable, as we received several photos of him relaxing on her lap in front of the wood burning stove. He seemed to get along well with her Lhasa Apso, Wally, who was about the same size as Bandit, as we received several photos of them taking walks and napping together on the sofa. I can say without a doubt that we will hire Shana every year for the Scottish Games at Furman, if she is still dog sitting and available (fingers crossed!).”

I have potty trained and also taught my animals many tricks - sit, stay, shake, fetch, speak :) I live alone with my almost two year old Pomeranian - she LOVES company and ALL animals and I thought this was a great way to help people and give her some new buddies to play with. I work from home with a fenced yard. I have a 2 year old lonely Pomeranian - she loves all people and animals. This will be something she and I will enjoy. I work pnr atm so im trying my best to cover costs of my living wage and what better way then to do what I truly love to do and that's taking care of animals. What ever is needed of me there is no such thing as a weird request when it comes to your fur babies . About: I am ALSO that dog guardian that feels like they can never trust anyone with my dog. My dogs are my whole world and it makes going out of town or long work days stressful instead of enjoyable. I have been an animal lover my entire life! What started with a family dog has turned into me owning 3 of my own dogs. I have participated in various dog sports- barn hunt, agility, and rally to name a few. I’ve worked extensively with dog trainers and although I am not a professional, I am well versed in positive reinforcement and force free training. I am confident caring for/walking dog’s that deal with reactivity or aggression issues. I’ve had to work through reactivity issues with my own dogs and I am a better dog person because of it. I am extremely detail oriented and I understand the importance of following your schedule, training, and reinforcing the behaviors you are looking for in your dog. If you are training loose leash walking, working through reactivity, avoiding walking near other dogs/people, I will completely respect that and help you. I am comfortable and confident using whichever (or none) of the training tools you use. I have a fully fenced yard and pet friendly home. I can only accept crate trained dogs for overnight stays. I have cats but I have the space to keep them separate. I work mostly from home with errands not lasting longer than 2 hours. I do not allow dogs together unsupervised. Any play or interaction will ALWAYS be supervised, as well as any outside time.
About: I have found that dogs prefer to be in their own envirement when their owner's are away, so most of my jobs are from repeat clients and referrals for in home stays. Your pet stays in their own environment which is less stressful. As requested by you, we go on walks, mini hikes, car rides, sleep in bed with them, just lounge and watch TV, administer special diets or medicines, drop off at another relative, etc. I am flexible. Your house stays safe with someone home, mail and newspapers picked up, etc. One client always has contractors over for their large remodel. I first became a dog sitter for my 2 grandpups, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels a boy and a girl. My daughter may be the most demaning, pickiest, list of rules person in the world. Her dogs are her children and I know yours are too. So please if you feel bad about leaving them, if you have a weird request I will understand. Since I am semi-retired I have more flexibility as well. I have had dogs who needed me to sit on the floor with them while they eat, want to sleep in same bed as me, constantly want to sit on my lap or next to me. I understand the power of treats, their special toys and love! It's stressful when the owners are away, but I am here to fill that void. Rest assured, I can send you updates as needed. Whether it's a daily overview from the visits on email, quick text and/or picture from the visit, quick phone call, just let me know. About: I started working with animals 8 years ago as a volunteer at a rescue barn. I've volunteered with about 3 other rescues and shelters, from walking dogs to monitoring health conditions. I just want to show all those little furry family members the love they deserve, and make sure they can be well taken care of if you are unable or temporarily absent. I currently only work 7-2 on weekends. Otherwise, I'm wide open and would love to run and play with your pets! We love treats and I'm a quick learner. Your routine, becomes my routine. I prefer to get a play by play of each animal's daily life at home so I can most relate their stay with me in my home to it. From feeding times to walking times and even play times, I love to have a set schedule to make all our lives easier. Of course flexibility is a must, and I'm happy to follow any needs that are seen fit because the animal's well being is top priority.
About: I have had pets in my home since I was a child. I had a senior dog I took care of for six years. I am very comfortable with dogs at all stages or any handicaps. I am home throughout the day and all evening with a flexible schedule. My home is relaxing with plenty of space. The fenced in yard is big and a pile of perfect sticks are waiting to be played with. The neighborhood is away from main roads and safe. I do have cameras in the home to keep an eye on things if I run errands. I have a fenced in large yard for safety if your furry friend stays here. I also have a private inside area if they need some downtime. I only have a couple steps into the home. If I visit them then all rules are strictly adhered too. I provide a lot of love and care, making sure they are calm, happy and safe. I tend to care for 4-6 dogs at a time. Many are high energy so your dog should be comfy with that environment. Lazy, sleepy dogs do well with it. I love to have Meet&Greets. I want you to feel comfortable with my space. If it turns out you are not on board 100%, I understand and have no hard feelings. The safety and happiness of your pet is everyone’s focus. Taking care of pets is my full time job so I am home based. I have a couple day care dogs during the work week and spend most of my day with them. I will follow through with your training and rules. Pets are spoiled with attention. I have a box of toys and treats for them. I will provide photos and videos plus regular updates.

When I got older, I would petsit for friends, family members and neighbors. I have also volunteered with my local Humane Society since I was 13. About: Hello! My name is Alex and I have had a dog (or two) my entire life. Right now, Hank is my main man. He's a boxer mix I rescued in Albuquerque, NM in 2022. We think he's 5 or 6, so let's go with 5! I love all animals and I love being active so your pet is sure to have the best walk and/or playtime hanging with me. I'm a very reliable, attentive, and trustworthy person and pet owner and I promise to make your life (and your pet's) all the easier by taking the stress out of being away from home. I currently work from home so I can give your pet all the time and attention they deserve. I promise your pet will return safe, happy, and ready to play with me again :) I am available every day of the week, with the majority of my time spent at home and around my neighborhood. I drop my children off in the mornings to either camp or school, and do pick up in the afternoons. As long as I can work around those pick ups and drop offs, I'm available! I have a fully fenced yard and a large, pet-friendly house (non-smoking). I have a neutered boxer mix named Hank who we rescued back in 2022 in Albuquerque, NM.
