About: I’ve never gone a day in my life without a dog or two until I moved out of my parents house. I’ve had everything from Maltese to Belgian Malinois and English Black Labs. I am used to super calm and super hyper and super lazy. My schedule makes drop-in check-ins smooth and predictable! I’m available for early morning check-ins before 8:00 AM, as well as evening visits after 5:00 PM (Tuesday through Friday). Mondays are my only busy evening, but my weekends are wide open for flexible drop-ins throughout the day. About: I’ve been around dogs pretty much my whole life. I had my own dog from when I was about 8 years old until she passed away last year. I helped take care of her with my mom throughout her life so I’m very comfortable with dogs of all ages and especially older dogs. I’m also currently helping my mom with a 1-year-old Goldendoodle that she watches for a couple in her apartment complex. I’ve also dog-sat for friends over the years and have experience checking in on their pets while they’re away. I really love being around dogs and animals in general. I also love being outside and spending time in nature so getting to combine the two makes me really happy. I want your dog to feel comfortable and get some attention while you’re away. I’m happy to follow their normal routine and I’ll always send you pictures and an update after my visit. I’m new to Rover but I’m definitely not new to taking care of dogs. I’m looking forward to meeting some new furry friends! My schedule is pretty flexible right now and I’m usually available throughout the day Monday through Friday. I can work around your dog’s normal routine and I’m happy to figure out a time that works best for both of us. I also try to leave some flexibility in my day in case something comes up or your plans change. I’m pretty big on making sure your dog is comfortable and that everything is left the way I found it. I’ll follow whatever instructions you leave for me and make sure doors, gates and anything else are secure before I leave. I also like sending a few pictures throughout the visit so you don’t have to wonder how they’re doing.

I want to let your dog know that I'm trustworthy but in charge, and although my first concern is for their well being it is also very important to me that they are having fun. I want to get to know your dog's likes, dislikes, triggers, anything that will help me give them the best care while I am with them. About: My passion is making dogs feel loved, safe, and special. ❤️ I currently have two pups of my own who I’ve had for the past three years. I rescued them from Orange County Animal Services. They came from some very tough situations, so we’ve worked through quite a few challenges together, including generalized fear, separation anxiety, resource guarding, and overexcitement. These kinds of behaviors don’t scare me off! I’m one of those dog “extremists” who truly believes dogs are like little humans. They have their own personalities, fears, and struggles, and sometimes they just need a little extra patience, understanding, and reassurance. I also had the honor of loving my soul dog for 10 amazing years (rescued from OCAS as well!). He was a big dog who was reactive toward other animals, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs who need to be separated from other dogs or cats. I’m especially cautious when walking reactive dogs and will always prioritize their safety by keeping them at a comfortable distance from other animals. Beyond my own dogs, I’ve cared for many other pups over the years, including my brother’s and friends’ smaller dogs (yes, I love the little ones too!). I also spent time volunteering at Orange County Animal Services, which gave me the opportunity to meet and care for dogs with all kinds of personalities and needs. My sitter ideology is that I don’t want to just be someone who checks in, feeds your dog, and heads out the door. I want your dog to feel like they’re spending time with someone who genuinely enjoys having them around. 🐾♥️ I currently have a lot of flexibility. I’m a former high school English teacher but now I’m a stay at home dog mom, so I’m hoping to fill my weeks up with bookings! I especially love caring for dogs in their own homes. I think most pups are happiest when they can stay in their familiar surroundings, sleep in their own bed, and keep their normal routine while their people are away. It can also be a lot less stressful than introducing them to a new home, especially for dogs who are nervous, reactive, or just really attached to their own space. Since I have two dogs of my own, I prefer to keep everyone in their familiar environments rather than asking them to adjust to each other. It also means I can give your pup my full attention while I’m with them. 😊
