“Jasmine was sweet with my cats and professional. My cats can be shy with new people, but it was clear from the pictures that my cats enjoyed their play time and getting to know Jasmine. We will book with Jasmine again on our next trip.”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for and training many different species. I'm a dolphin trainer at Discovery Cove and I'll strive to provide the same top-notch care for your fur family! I may be new to Rover but I have a ton of animal care experience. I'm generally available in the evenings Friday - Tuesday and anytime on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I'm a dolphin trainer by day but don't worry I'll make sure to prioritize your pet's needs as much as I do the dolphins! As a specialist in animal behavior and medical care I know how to address your pet's needs, whether they need medications or just an extra snuggle while you're gone!

About: I had a family dog who I love and have been caring for since he was a baby. I recently moved to Orlando and my dog is staying with my family. I love all dogs and have experience with training, desensitizing, and caring for multiple dogs of different breeds. Im so excited to get to know and take care of your dogs soon! I am a full time student in Orlando. So, I will be in class from 8-5 everyday. I am able to take pets on early morning or evening walks. I am also a runner and would love to do short runs with high energy dogs! I am able to do house visits and pet sit at your house through the weekend or weekdays (if your dog is able to be alone from 8am to 5 pm) I understand that each dog will have its own particular needs. Outside of walks, if pet sitting, I think it is important for the dog to have some mental stimulation so I would take time to play mentally stimulating games with your dog!
“Jonathan has been our go to dog sitter anytime we are out of town and always does an amazing job with Mia. We recommend him to anyone who will be away from their pups for an extended period of time.”

“Our kitties love Athena! They have become so comfortable with her, and it provides great peace of mind for us when we head out of town on vacation that they are well cared for. Thanks for all you do to keep Hashtag and Ethan comfortable while we are away, Athena!”

About: I’ve never gone a day in my life without a dog or two until I moved out of my parents house. I’ve had everything from Maltese to Belgian Malinois and English Black Labs. I am used to super calm and super hyper and super lazy. My schedule makes drop-in check-ins smooth and predictable! I’m available for early morning check-ins before 8:00 AM, as well as evening visits after 5:00 PM (Tuesday through Friday). Mondays are my only busy evening, but my weekends are wide open for flexible drop-ins throughout the day. "During drop-in check-ins, I prioritize keeping your pet’s daily routine consistent, calm, and predictable. I strictly follow your precise instructions for feeding, fresh water, and medication, while providing dedicated one-on-one attention, play, and clean space maintenance
“Nick is the best!! He takes beautiful photos of my Theo at every drop in visit, gives great updates and is so so good with my boy. I’m so grateful for him!”

About: I offer reliable dog walking and drop-in visits in Orlando. I have 1 year of professional experience caring for dogs, but I've loved animals since I was a kid. I focus on making every walk safe, fun, and full of attention. I follow your instructions exactly for feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and I always make sure your pup gets lots of love and cuddles. I'm comfortable with puppies, energetic dogs that need long walks, and shy dogs that need patience. I will send you photo and video updates on every visit so you know your best friend is happy and safe while you are away. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to focus on dog walking and drop-in visits throughout the day. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine because I love being outdoors and staying active. I'm available for walks and visits on weekdays and weekends, mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. I can do last-minute bookings and regular daily walks, and I always make sure to be on time and reliable for you and your pup. Safety and trust are my top priority when caring for pets in their own home. When I do drop-in visits and dog walks, I follow all your instructions carefully regarding feeding, leash safety, and home security. I always keep dogs on leash during walks, avoid busy streets, bring water, and make sure they don't eat anything unsafe. In your home, I keep everything clean and secure, I lock all doors and I respect your space. I will treat your home and your dog with the same care as if they were my own family, and I send photo updates after every visit.

I would love to help you with your furry loved ones too! I am a retired Physical Therapist Assistant and after taking care of people for years now I really want to just take care of animals. All pet care needs as well as watering plants, mail/package collecting, home security, whatever needs attention. I will leave your home clean and well respected. I have never had a dissatisfied client, and my integrity is one thing I bring with me everywhere I go.
About: I started out watching my friends’ pets when they were away or when their other dog was in heat, and I quickly realized how much I loved caring for animals. I even rescued a dog myself, so I understand the importance of patience, love, and trust. I’m reliable, attentive, and treat every pet like my own—making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I make my own schedule, which gives me the flexibility to provide personalized care for pets. Whether it’s morning walks, playtime, or feeding, I can easily fit pet sitting into my day. I plan my work and personal tasks around the care I give to pets, ensuring they always receive the attention they deserve while keeping everything else organized. It’s a perfect balance of flexibility and reliability for both me and the pets I care for! I care for pets in my home with lots of love and attention, making sure they feel comfortable and safe. I have a playful dog of my own who loves meeting new friends, so your pet will have a buddy to interact with and enjoy playtime. I create a cozy and pet-friendly environment where they can relax, play, and get plenty of love. Whether it’s walks, meals, or just snuggling, I ensure every pet feels at home during their stay.
“Sharyn was a pleasure to work with. She was punctual, reliable, and thoughtful in her care and communication. She did more than was required to ensure my pets had the best experience possible. I will, without hesitation, reach out to her for my future pet-sitting needs.”

I’m happy to come stay for any duration at your home with your pets to keep them feeling safe and in their routine. If you prefer I don’t spend the night, that is fine too! I have general and ER vet experience, I have an associates in annual science back when I thought I’d always work in vet med. I appreciate a good walk, just as much as any pup! Cats and fun toys are my favorite pastime.
About: I’ve taken care of my own cats and dogs until their passing of old age or adoption. I’m very kind and loving towards all animals. I work full time, but I have 3 days off during the week and I would love to take care of your pet in my free time! I understand that giving access to someone else’s home and pet can be scary, but I assure you that I will take good care of your pet and your home!
“Was very attentive and had great communication. She always took lots of pictures of my babies and clearly spent time making sure they were taken care of and comfortable.”

About: I've been around dogs and cats my entire life. I currently am the mum of 2 dogs and 2 kitties, my girls <3. I have so much love and respect and just pure joy being around animals and your pets will be so well taken care of you'll want me back for all your pet care needs. I work remotely so as long as I have a wifi connection (which I can provide myself if needed) I can stay for extended periods of time. My only timing restrictions are needing to take/pick up my son from school (30 min drive tops) I can easily crate your dog if needed. I will make sure any schedule you set for your pet is upheld, the level and standard of care they receive from you will be what they get from me. I can be fully available and accessible to provide any care, comfort and love your pet needs, when they need it.
About: Ever since I was a kid I’ve always taken care of pets, I have had many cats and dogs myself and I can take care of one or more pets (even dogs and cats at the same time). I am a college student, that means that I can do my school work anywhere at any time, so it wouldn’t be a problem for me to watch your pet in your house. I also work as a server, but the shifts are usually 4 to 5 hours long, so I would never be gone for more than 6 hours. I love to play with dogs and cats! I would definitely have as much fun as they would when caring for them. I can feed, and clean up after them with no problem.
About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life, including owning six dogs and two cats and fostering more than 50 pets. Fostering has given me hands-on experience with dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, personalities and care needs, including puppies, seniors and pets who are sick or need a little extra attention. I’m comfortable administering medications, following special care instructions and helping senior or special-needs pets with their daily routines. I also have experience reinforcing basic puppy and dog training, including commands, house-training routines and good manners. Most importantly, I’m patient and understand that every pet is different. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, older and needs a slower pace, or simply takes some time to warm up to new people, I’m happy to meet them where they are and care for them according to their normal routine. PLEASE NOTE: At this time, I work away from home from 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday with a break around 10am where I come home for 30 minutes. There are cameras within my home I use to keep watch over any pets that are under my care during my working hours. I am also not home or available Fridays at 8pm till Saturdays at 6pm and do not accept having pets in my care during these times as I am far from home and cannot attend to them in the case of any emergency. I have a set schedule, which allows me to make pet care a priority. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, boarding and overnight stays, and can easily accommodate different feeding, exercise and medication schedules. I’m also happy to keep pets on the routine they’re already comfortable with. I try to keep every pet’s routine as familiar and consistent as possible, whether they’re staying with me or I’m caring for them in their own home. I follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, sleeping arrangements and any special needs, while giving each pet plenty of attention and affection at their own comfort level. I have a friendly, neutered 2-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd named Rocket, so pets staying in my home must be comfortable around another dog. I take introductions seriously and want both your pet and mine to feel safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m equally respectful of their space and routines and make sure owners receive regular photos and updates while they’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
