About: I absolutely love animals. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats and many other animals. I am very responsible and trustworthy and will care for your pet like it’s my own. If necessary, I can administer medication. I have previous experience needing to administer medication to my dogs in the past based off veterinarian instruction. I am currently in school for my prerequisites for Medical Imaging. I take several classes during the week. Please reach out and then we can make an appropriate adjustments that suit both our schedules. I live in a house with a decent size fenced in area. I go on several walks per day and have many dog parks near by. My dogs are very well behaved but will still not be left alone unsupervised for your peace of mind. I can also do solo walks if that is better suited. I have a crate available if you require. Always have water available.

We have a kennel if your dog prefers to sleep in one, or they are free to sleep anywhere in our home. Your dog will be part of our family! About this sitter: Your pet is most comfortable in their own home. Some pets are anxious and scared when their owners are away. Having me come to your home to care for your pets will allow them the security and comfort of being in their usual surroundings and able to be in their normal routine. During each visit, I will ensure your pet is fed, given time outside (as needed), and given lots of individual attention and play time. Why I love dog sitting I've been an animal lover all my life, and in particular, I have loved dogs since I can remember. My family always had dogs when I was growing up. I've been married for over 30 years and we have had at least one dog in the house at all times, but usually two or three. About my yard We live on 7 acres. There is a doggie door that leads to a fenced-in area. There are also trails through the woods for walks and open areas for play. Additionally, we have a comfortable deck in the fenced area in the event your dog wants to lay outside while at my home. My experience administering medication Yes. I have extensive experience giving dogs tablets and pills, applying various ointments and creams, and administering eye, nose, and ear drops. My husband and I recently retired to Skaneateles, so we are home almost all the time! Your pet(s) will have constant companionship while in our home. Your pet(s) will have full access to our home; however, I have a crate if preferred. Only my husband and I live in our home, so your pet(s) will feel safe and no strangers will be here.

About: I’ve learned so much raising my dog from puppyhood to almost 3 years old. I came to dog ownership in my 30s, after dreaming of a dog for several years. My grandma had dogs (appenzell mountain dog, beagle, and schnauzer) and I grew up visiting with them. With my own dog, over the last few years, I have taken courses in basic obedience, reactive dog management strategies, reactivity counter conditioning/desensitization, multiple Control Unleashed (Leslie McDevitt) courses, impulse control, cooperative care, basic scent work, and more. I have also taken several webinars on various canine topics. I taught myself to groom my dog (poodle mix) and learned all husbandry tasks in a fear free cooperative manner. I am a member of several online communities of dog trainers and owners - such as Fenzi Dog Sports Academy. I am positive reinforcement (R+) and fear free. I am familiar with many forms of enrichment - including sniff/decompression walks, frozen kong/toppl/lick mat, shredding paper, toy play, snuffle mats and more. I am familiar with and use a variety of long line lengths. I am familiar with sensitive dogs and their unique needs. I’m currently working part time, remotely, so my schedule is flexible and I have ample time for drop in visits. I am happy to come to you. I am only offering services at your house at this time. I am one of the most honest people you will meet, caring for your dog and your property as I care for my own. I am tidy and clean.
