“I recently boarded my babe with Ellen & her son John, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. They were incredibly friendly and were even fine w/ a Meet & Greet prior to Zoë’s stay. The facility seemed clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space for playtime and socializing. I appreciated the regular updates and photos they sent me, which reassured me that my dog was having a great time. I highly recommend John and Ellen for anyone looking for quality care for their fur baby!”

“Mary was the perfect match for our elderly dog: she is patient and caring. Mary has her home and yard set up for every dog's optimal comfort, which we especially appreciated since our dog has arthritis. Ella, our 15 year-old papillon, loved her!”

“Polina took wonderful care of our two dogs while we were on an extended vacation. She sent us photos periodically which was greatly appreciated. She contacted us regarding one of the dogs having redness in one eye and asked what we wanted her to do. We suggested eyedrops, she administered them and all was fine. You could tell she truly loves dogs and we would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Our dog Ella is very shy so we are always worry about boarding her but she was in good hands and we received many photos/videos to set our minds at ease. Will use Huijun’s service in the future!”

About: Hi Neighbors, I am a Natural World Enthusiast looking to provide support to pets and their owners in the community. My heart is geared towards animals. I have decades worth of experience caring for dogs, cats and other small pets, from my own to friends and clients in the professional setting. My goal is to provide a sense of physical, mental, and emotional well being for your pet. I am here to help fill in the gaps in your busy schedules and be there. So whether your pal needs a hike, walk around the neighborhood, a feeding, medication dose (dogs and cats) or just a visit, I have your back. We all need movement, attention and praise, pets included. I use positive reinforcement as training method, for all pets at every stage. So whether you have a puppy with some aggression issues, a husky that needs a run, a diabetic cat, fish to be fed and admired, or an stinky old man dog that just needs to be sung to and told he's a good boy I am here to serve. I have two cats personally, they run the household and tell me what to do. They eat twice a day, get their boxes cleaned daily, and petted and played when they decide. Monday- Thursday I am available for pet visits from 10:30-2:30 and again from 5-9 pm Fridays - I am available from 10:30-1:00 for visits Weekends-vary During daycare hours I will always be in the home with your pet unless we are going on an outing together. Play, snacks, walks, songs, and naps will be provided daily. I do have two cats, who will probably stay out of the way, but cat friendly creatures are always preferred.
“Christine and Matthew are wonderful! Great communication and very accommodating. Ollie is always a little nervous when I first leave him somewhere new, but he couldn’t have been more happy and calm when I picked him up. Will definitely try to book with them again in the future. Highly recommend”

“Jaclyn was great with my husky, Krypto! He was boarded with her and her family for 6 days and he seemed to feel right at home. Communication with Jaclyn was very good. She would always send updates with pictures and would respond quickly if I had a question. She created a great environment for him to thrive in. Would definitely recommend Jaclyn to anyone!”

“Georgianne was wonderful for my dog Vera! It was my first time using Rover so I was very nervous but she did a wonderful job responding to me when I asked for updates and sent me photos and videos. My dog was very comfortable with her and loved her backyard! I would have Georgianne watch my dog again :)”

“Meghan was awesome, she took great care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the stay, she's also a great photographer so you'd get nice shots of your pets, a 100% recommended.”

“We are new to the area so it’s always difficult to trust someone new with your puppy. But, Susan was very professional and by the book which put our worries to ease. She was a great host to our puppy and took care of him pretty well.”

“Rachel was awesome! She kept me updated on how my pup was doing every day with a text and Photos. I was able to relax and enjoy my time away knowing he was in good hands.”

“Nina was a lifesaver! She was able to schedule a meet and greet, and book our dog for the weekend with short notice. She was very communicative. We received updates, and pictures, which was so appreciated. Our dog seemed very content during his stay with Nina. We are looking forward to using her again!”

“Donna clearly loved on, interacted with, and cared extremely well for our dog. The videos were especially great as we could see our girl was not stressed at all and in fact was having the time of her life! I deemed this week her “Summer Camp” and wondered if she’d actually want to leave when we picked her up ;). Donna communicated frequently with pics and videos daily, which brought us joy and comfort; even continuing the day we were scheduled to pick her up. She went above and beyond and even sent her home with a new toy that she favored over her own ‘binky’ we sent with her. Actually looking forward to the next time Lexi gets to stay with her.”

“Yakelin has been a super lovely and caring dog sitter for my fur baby, Tonton. She and her family all shared a lot of love and care for my dog. We appreciate their attention to my dog’s medical conditions, and frequent updates with videos and pictures. The love and warmth we received from her and family is highly appreciated!”

“Staci took good care of my Bella while I was away for two weeks. She always responded promptly to my messages, and sent photos every few days to update me with Bella’s activities. Thanks Staci!”

“Jocelyn ha been amazing! She is very responsive and keeps me informed all the way thru each pet- sitting experience with photos and texts throughout the day. She is so loving with my girl and always takes such good care of her! Highly recommend!!”

“Kim watched Sir Sparklepuff for 17 days, following our relocation. We had been worried about leaving him at such a transitional time, but she made the extra effort of meeting him prior to his stay with her, first in our home, then in her own. His stay seems to have gone quite well -- he was returned to us happy and well-cared for. Kim also sent us daily photos which were absolutely remarkable -- professional quality! She clearly spent time connecting with him, and playing with him. We are sure to use her services again, and cannot recommend her highly enough!”

“Absolutely love Marisol! She’s sweet, caring, nurturing, and holds a safe space for our puppy. Zero complaints about her service and will continue to book her as much as we can.”

“Sam was the best! Very accommodating and you know that she cares about animals. Treated my dog Jaxie like her own and I could tell she was loved and had a great time away from home. First time using this service and my expectations were blown away, will definitely rebook with Sam in the future! Would give more than 5 stars if possible.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
