About: I have been a life long multi-pet owner. Animals have been my passion my entire life and I recently moved to the area to continue to grow that passion into a career. I am currently attending veterinary school and I am hoping to utilize the flexible scheduling of pet sitting and care to continue my passions off campus. I do come from working in small animal emergency hospital, so I am equipped to deal with any situation and can ensure those with special needs are cared for properly when you are away. I’m currently commuting to and in school five days a week. My best availability is Friday afternoon through Sunday. I have so vary degrees of flexibility on holidays, or when classes are not in session. My care can be as simple as multiple visits and play sessions. Or I can spend the entire day with your pet. No matter what you can rest assured every need will be met with the best attention to detail needed for your pet. I will be providing care for your pet in your own home and walking in your neighborhood. I am pretty flexible and have reliable transportation so if you’d prefer your pet to go to a specific place or park or close hike, I can do that as well. In these hotter months I try to keep walks to mornings before 9am and evenings after 7pm due the heat and temperature of the ground.

About: My own dog is reactive so she tends to get nervous with loud noises and is very wary of dogs. So, throughout the years, I’ve learned to notice specific tells and avoid things that can set her off. I’m also very familiar with dogs that tend to pull as I’ve walked the dogs of multiple friends and family before. I currently have two dogs of my own with one being a toy poodle and black labrador/shepherd mix. Both dogs are completely different from each other as their temperaments differ in which one is dog selective, vocal, and prefers people. The toy poodle is very social with people and doesn’t mind other dogs and is fairly relaxed. I have also done cat sitting when my cousin goes on vacation where I do daily check ins to her home. I am currently looking for a film related job as I begin to learn about my major so I have lots of free time. I am usually available in the mornings to noon. I can even do a bit more after noon. However, I do like to maintain a balance with my own dogs and caring for other people’s pets. Nights are possible mainly on the weekends, preferably Saturdays but depending on my schedule I can be flexible. In a clients home, I would make sure to quickly open or close the door so no pet can rush out and even before doing that I can make sure they are being distracted so they won’t get loose. This still applies to a home with a fence because cats are lithe creatures. I also like to make sure to ask the client if the pet has any behavioral concerns that I should keep in mind and if there is any supplements they have that they would like me to implement into their pet’s meals. Energy levels is always something that I like to inquire about as well so I know what to expect.

Home grown on the east coast in Waldorf, Maryland, wet kisses, deep rubs behind the ears and playing outdoors was the life growing up with my 3 dogs. Since the day I came home from the hospital, wrapped in my mother’s arms, there has always been a dog in my home. Loving, caring and nurturing animals is what I do best! Throughout my life I have had dogs, cats, birds, horses, iguanas, snakes and even a ferret named Bosley. I can assure you, when you board at my home, your baby is in good hands! I pride myself on building a home-away-from-home atmosphere for all animals in my care. Throughout my life, I have looked after and raised dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, temperaments and many different health needs. To love a dog is simply not just having one, but to feel deep in your soul their absence when they are gone. In 2021 I said my final goodbye to my girl of 14.5 years. She had a long battle with a very aggressive blood cancer. Vet visits, a pet herbalist (yeah, I know how that sounds) and countless trial and errors - she was able to beat all odds until March of 2021. There truly wasn’t a thing on this earth I wouldn’t do for my sweet girl. When you leave your beloved in my care, the same love, assistance and attention I give my own, will be given to yours. I currently have no other permanent pets or loved ones in my home and can host up to 3 dogs at a time. I am currently fully available to give 100% of my time to assist the needs of your fur baby whether that be boarding, daily walks or at home check-ins In my home, pets are always under full supervision. When your pet is in my care, their needs are met to exceed your expectations. Growing up with pets in the home, it is built in to my core that all pet’s needs are a case-by-case situation, just like us! I kindly ask that you provide any specific schedules, routines, activity needs, diet restrictions, medical regimens, etc. when leaving your pet in my care and I can assure you, it will be like you never left!
