“Jessica did a very good job and taking care of our two dogs while we were gone for the weekend. She communicated with us and sent us pictures to let us see our dogs were happy. We will use her again for our next trip away!”

“Kaitlyn is awesome. We are so happy to have found such a great pet sitter to look after our pup and cat when we travel. Kaitlyn is a really great communicator and does such a great job. She is flexible and has helped us out on a number of occasions when we really needed a pet sitter for a spontaneous trip. We are just so appreciative. Kaitlyn is organized and very clean. We never have to worry when we are gone. Thank you so much!”

“Dalene was wonderful with Rio. She was on time, followed Rio’s schedule and was very communicative through messages. She took Rio on long walks which he enjoyed thoroughly! Thanks Dalene 💖”

About: I have been trusted since childhood to watch over my neighbors' pets and have experience with two pit bulls and countless cats. I don't mind giving medicine, as my senior cat took some for years. I work full-time during the week, but am free all weekend to give your furry friend some love. I am generally active, so walks in the morning and evening are not an issue and I can easily integrate them into my daily routine. I can easily crate pets, love to take daily walks, and play for about an hour or two with my own pets, so I do not mind addressing the needs of your pet based on their energy level.
“This was our second booking with Grace and we absolutely love her! She takes such great care of our pets and home. We have a senior dog who needs shorter walks, and Grace always makes sure she gets the extra attention she needs. She’s a great communicator and gives us peace of mind while we’re away. Highly recommend!”

“Fantastic experience with Shauna. She was responsive and took wonderful care of our kitten, who has a lot of energy! She played with him and put on his favorite tv shows and updated us regularly on how he was doing. We've already booked her three times!”

“Tiffany took great care of my cat. She also left my home just how I left it so I can return and go straight to cuddling with my cat. Thank you for the excellent care and attention to detail Tiffany!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 10 years old. I’ve had dogs in my house since I was 10 and have taken care of puppies before as well. I’m currently unemployed and at home for the summer, so I have a lot of free time to devote to taking care of your babies! Any and all types of service I can do, from overnight stays to drop ins and check ups. I have experience taking care of untrained puppies and I can keep up with very energetic dogs. I can walk, feed and play with dogs or give them space as needed. I’m very respectful of animals and their owners’ wishes.
About: I've taken care of cats and dogs while growing up since I was 7. I learned how to feed, walk, bathe the pets I had. And learned more things about dogs when I had my dog Oreo in 2020. I'm working part-time at a clinic, as BT which is 3 to 6 hrs depending on days I'm scheduled. I'm doing this as a side gig. I'll guarantee to help and take care of your pets for you. Pet sitting at someone's house I'll be respectful and responsible, making sure your fur babies is in the best care on my watch.
“Cheyanne always takes great care of our dogs! Our 1 yr old lab had emergency surgery a few days before she was scheduled to house sit, but she was flexible with us and offered to give meds, monitor the scar, and ensure activity restrictions. Highly recommend booking with Cheyanne!”

“Thomas is Amazing! He is kind, considerate and very conscientious. He has been phenomenal with my 4 cats, which has been a HUGE relief for me because I have never left them for more than one day. Now I don't have to worry, which is Everthing!! Thomas sends me pictures and updates almost daily which gives me such peace of mind! I really appreciate him and feel like I've found my forever cat sitter in Thomas!”

“Thanh-Mai was wonderful watching my, Rita. The meet and greet went well and my dog takes a while to warm-up to strangers. She provided me with regular updates and pictures, even checking in and asking questions. I would book her again!”

“Jace is great. We have booked multiple house sittings with them. Photos and updates are provided regularly. Our dog and home are both well cared for by Jace each time. Highly recommended!”

“Kaitlin did an outstanding job house and pet sitting for us. It was our first experience with Kaitlin. She was professional, responsible, and communicates well. She was on time and read through our instructions and did all that we asked. Our home was left neat and tidy, and our pets were worn out from all the play time they had with her. She paid attention to our cat who can be over looked or passed by because our golden loves to be the center of attention all day long. And that is much appreciated! She did a great job managing and loving on each of our pets individually. We will hire Kaitlin again.”

“Wow! What a relief to have found Victoria! She is kind and sweet, loves animals and was so sweet to mine! I was able to go on a last minute trip with my family and relax knowing they were in good hands!”
About: I love pets and animals and have lots of experience! I pet sit for all my friends and coworkers as they say I have a special connection with their pets. Animals love me and I love them! Happy to watch young or senior pets, and have experience with exotic pets like reptiles and birds As a teacher, I have all federal holidays off as well as weekends. I’m in town otherwise, so I can dependably check in on animals over weekdays as well. I will always make sure to take good care of your pets in your home, and take care of your home as well! Homes are a special and sacred place and I will always respect your area. It is great to watch them in their own home as this is less stress for your pets!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sierra Sky Park
This was my first time using Rover and I had a wonderful experience with Antonia. She was polite, professional, responsive and really cared a lot about the well being of my dogs. She cared for the house well and I definitely recommend her for any pet/house sitting jobs. Looking forward to working with her again!

Finn is officially our favorite Pet/House sitter! You can tell that he loves dogs and was great with Sydney. She’s an energetic Aussie and he took her to the park to play frisbee and walks through the neighborhood. I appreciate the video updates-good to see her so engaged We highly recommend Finn and will be using him when we need to leave Sydney at home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sierra Sky Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sierra Sky Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sierra Sky Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
