Jace was wonderful! I felt very comfortable from the start having him pet sit my dogs in my home. He has great communication and was giving me updates and pictures of my pets. I could tell learning them, their behaviors and quirks was important to him and for them to be comfortable with him. I'm definitely going to be using Jace again for his services. Would highly recommend!

About: I've taken care of cats and dogs while growing up since I was 7. I learned how to feed, walk, bathe the pets I had. And learned more things about dogs when I had my dog Oreo in 2020. I'm working part-time at a clinic, as BT which is 3 to 6 hrs depending on days I'm scheduled. I'm doing this as a side gig. I'll guarantee to help and take care of your pets for you. Pet sitting at someone's house I'll be respectful and responsible, making sure your fur babies is in the best care on my watch.

About: I have been trusted since childhood to watch over my neighbors' pets and have experience with two pit bulls and countless cats. I don't mind giving medicine, as my senior cat took some for years. I work full-time during the week, but am free all weekend to give your furry friend some love. I am generally active, so walks in the morning and evening are not an issue and I can easily integrate them into my daily routine. I can easily crate pets, love to take daily walks, and play for about an hour or two with my own pets, so I do not mind addressing the needs of your pet based on their energy level.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs. I love running in the backyard, chasing and being chased. Food time is my favorite, because I get to see all the dances your fur babies do. I see bath time as a doggie spa day, let them feel important too. Medicine time is my least favorite, but if mom/dad say so, then those are the rules. I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family since I learned how to drive. I love seeing the happy smiles and waggy tails of my furry friends. Want some playtime videos? You got it! Your fur babies are in good hands. I’m currently working weekends, so I’m free during the week days. I’m the one who feeds my family pets morning and night. I have two very active dogs so I like to get up bright and early to walk them. If they’re still antsy after a morning walk and through-the-day play, then I’ll walk them in the evenings too. I like to train my dogs as much as I can, especially on walks. I love snuggling with my dogs too, who doesn’t love a good cuddle session with our fur babies? Depending on the needs of each dog, baths, feedings, medications, walks and playtime are always included. Please let me know what your needs are when it comes to taking care of your fur babies.

Cheyanne has been a life saver for us! She did a great job watching them while we were away for a long weekend, but more importantly, she has offered us the most helpful guidance with training our puppy. She sent several pictures and videos, taught our puppy new skills in new places, and gives us tips on what to practice at home. She truly went above and beyond and we will continue to rebook with her as often as we can. Thank you, Cheyanne!

Any and all types of service I can do, from overnight stays to drop ins and check ups. I have experience taking care of untrained puppies and I can keep up with very energetic dogs. I can walk, feed and play with dogs or give them space as needed. I’m very respectful of animals and their owners’ wishes.

About: Hi, I’m Johanna! I’m a dedicated dog lover with over 10 years of experience personally caring for and training dogs. From a young age, I’ve always been surrounded by dogs, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of their unique personalities, needs, and behaviors. I’ve personally trained my two rescue dogs, helping them grow into well-adjusted, social, and happy companions. Because I work from home, I have the flexibility to provide your pup(s) with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve throughout the day. Whether they need frequent potty breaks (we have a doggy door for 24/7 access), playtime, cuddles, or a structured routine, I can easily adjust to meet their needs. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where every dog feels at home. Our spacious home has a fenced-in backyard, giving dogs plenty of room to play and relax. We also have access to parks nearby, making it easy to give your pup extra outdoor fun, exercise and socialization (if you feel comfortable with that)! I welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes and will ensure your pup feels safe, loved, and cared for as if they were my own. Many of the dogs I’ve watched have become like family, and I’m grateful to share in the love and joy they bring. Thank you for considering me to care for your beloved pet, and I can't wait to meet them! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine! Since I work from home full-time, your pet will always have supervision and companionship throughout the day. They’ll have constant access to fresh water, our secure backyard for playtime and potty breaks, and a feeding and exercise schedule that matches their routine. Whether it’s cuddle time, walks, or structured activities, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for! In my home, I prioritize safety, comfort, and personalized care for every pet. We have a fully fenced backyard and a doggy door for 24/7 access to the yard for play, exercise or just to sunbathe. Additionally, both our main doors and screen doors add an extra layer of protection, minimizing any chance of pups slipping out. I tailor each pet’s care to their unique needs, following their usual feeding, exercise, and medication routines to ensure they feel at home. Whether it’s supervised playtime, cozy nap spots, or plenty of affection, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for during their stay! I tailor each pet’s care to their unique needs, following their usual feeding, exercise, and medication routines to ensure they feel at home. Whether it’s supervised playtime, cozy nap spots, or plenty of affection, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for during their stay! 🐾💕

Thanh-Mai took great care of our pets while we were away. She did more than what we asked for and went above and beyond to make sure our pets are well. It was raining during our trip out of town and she did not mind coming in more often to check on them. She also made sure they were fed, walked and not be in their crates for too long. Thanh-Mai communicated very well with what she was planning to do and kept us updated with pictures and videos several times a day. She took pride in her job and it shows. We would highly recommend Thanh-Mai with anyone, and will definitely book with her again in the future.

We were very happy with the Derek and the care he took of our two dogs. Our regular sitter wasn’t available and it’s been a little difficult to find someone good. He is very easy going and easy to communicate with. He has worked at shelters, very knowlegdable about all sorts of dogs, and most importantly my dogs were very comfortable with him. I would definitely have him watch our dogs again.

FAQs for House Sitting - Muscatel

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Muscatel on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 543 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Muscatel. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Muscatel walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Muscatel maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Muscatel choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Muscatel. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
