4. Steve & Tilaine G.

“Thank you so much for watching Grover. Nothing is better than bringing home a tired and cuddly puppy. I enjoyed talking with you both and I have to admit I had a little bit of a teary moment on my way home. The environment of your backyard with friends and family as well as just your welcoming energy reminded me so much of what it was like when my Uncle Ryan was still around. He passed unexpectedly in 2016, leaving behind my Aunt Krista and their two young girls, Claire was 7 and Hannah was 5. My aunt and uncle loved each other so deeply and enjoyed hosting family and friends regularly. I am extremely grateful that you reminded me of those memories I had forgotten about. Please continue to have people over and share these moments with each other! So again, thank you for proving a loving home for my puppy to stay while also bringing back some wonderful memories for me, even though it was unknowingly. Grover and I will 100% be back to visit again!”

5. Cynthia A.

“Cynthia took great care of our dog, Maizy! She went above and beyond to make sure was Maizy was comfortable and engaged. Maizy can be a picky eater and Cynthia even got her to eat a full meal. She was lovey to communicate with, was very responsive, and sent lots of pictures. We will definitely be dropping our pup off with her again!”

6. Manuel R.

10. Allison K.
About: I’ve lived on a farm my whole life and have extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens and cows. We have two breeding dogs at our farm and our family has raised and trainee Australian Shepherd puppies. We are well acquainted with the special needs of working with and training dogs and always have someone willing to play with a four legged friend. At the moment we have chickens, cows, cats and dogs on our property. I stay home with my youngest son, do all our animals chores and also work part time from home. I have adequate time to care for an additional dog or two. We live on a farm and do not have a fenced in yard. If your dog has good recall, he or she could happily burn some energy in our yard with our two friendly dogs or alone. I can accommodate your well trained dog in our house loose or also in a crate if desired.

11. Kelley B.

“Kelley did a wonderful job taking care of our 15 year old dog, including mealtime and medicine. Kelly is kind and responsible and we could tell that Adi felt comfortable in her home. 5 out of 5 stars. We highly recommend.”

12. Elizabeth "Libby" K.
About: Trustworthy dog owner and enthusiast seeking four-legged friends! I care for all pets like they are my own as they deserve nothing less. My passion for animals emerged even before my summers volunteering at the Ames Animal Shelter as a young girl. Any opportunity to pet sit for family or friends had me thrilled I was able to spend time with an animal. I now have three years of professional dog grooming experience, starting off working as a dog bather then eventually graduating grooming school. I left my job as a dog groomer last year and I currently work part time at a vet clinic as well as serving tables at a restaurant here in Ames. The services I currently offer include: » Dog Walking » In Home Care » Doggy Daycare » Boarding » House Sitting » Pet Transportation ✓ Extended stays and special requests are welcomed! LGBTQ+ friendly 🌈 I have 15+ years of caring for dogs and am comfortable handling dogs of all sizes. I have four years of experience administering oral medication to dogs as well as history caring for diabetic pets. I am also comfortable caring for cats, reptiles, small animals, fish, and exotic animals as I worked at a pet store for about a year caring for all kinds of creatures from cats, ferrets, fish, hamsters, snakes, bearded dragons, and chinchillas. Reach out with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you, and give your pets my best! 🫶 I currently live in Ames but commute to Urbandale where I work at a vet clinic. My shifts range from 4-8 hours depending on the day. I prefer to do a meet and greet before booking any services. The meet allows your pets to get acquainted with me, allows us to walk through a typical day in your home, and helps cover the bases of any potential obstacles we may face while in my care so I am well prepared for whatever situation that may arise.

13. Beth S.

“Beth is AWESOME!!!!!!! Beth was so welcoming from the start! I had a very unusual need as I was traveling across the state and needing a dog sitter for just a few hours so I could take my wife on a side trip that didn't accommodate dogs and she not only graciously accommodated my plan but she was willing to switch gears at the drop of a hat to change things from one planned time to a different planned time! This is not to say that she should be able and or expected to do this all the time, just that she is awesome and helped make our perfectly special trip become an awesome trip!! And the dogs clearly loved her and felt VERY comfortable with her!!! Thank you Beth!”

14. Kayla N.

“Kayla is amazing! Was available on super late notice and so accommodating. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

15. Christina S.
“I have known Christina since high school we are both huge animal people. She has always cared for her fur babies better than most and she has always taken care of friends and families fur babies when they leave town or just need a sitter. I trust this lady with my fur babies and I have trust issues , trust had to be built and maintenaned . Christina is a honest trustworthy person she has always been a good person would good values . She is an active person with her pup so she will be a good fur baby sitter/walker because she loves to do that stuff anyway especially with fur babies ☺️”

16. Gina G.

“Our 10 week old puppy had a great time with Gina while we were gone for the day. She had a large fenced in yard for him to play in, lots of toys to help with his puppy energy and soft places for him to sleep! We are thankful he was taken good care of and gave us great peace of mind.”

17. Samantha S.

19. Kaitlyn B.
“Kaitlyn is a very responsible and trustworthy person. She is great with pets, especially cats and dogs. She is very patient with animals and has a loving and caring personality that helps animals to thrive under her care. She has watched my cat for me in the past and truly puts me at ease when I need to be away from my pet when on a weekend trip or gone for work. She is the best!! I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great pet sitter!”
