About: I took care of my family dogs and cats, my own dogs and cats, rabbits, and I've helped friends with their dog, mostly to feed and walk them too. I used to train our own puppies back in the day, but it's been awhile. I just retired from being an elementary school counselor, so I'm more available to walk and care for animals. My schedule is fairly open if I'm not on a travel trip, so I can walk dogs during the day most anytime and care for some animals when needed. We don't have furry pets, because my husband has an allergy. However, I want to be with dogs without him as much as possible. I do walk my neighbor's dog when she's not available.

I have owned hounds my whole life and currently share my home with a spirited beagle/jack russell mix named Tate who keeps me well-practiced with high-energy breeds. I am comfortable with all breeds, large and small, and experienced administering medications and hands-on therapy when needed. I work from home in central Annapolis, which means flexible scheduling and plenty of attention for your dog during the day. Your pup is a member of your family and I always treat them like a member of my own. I own a design firm that I run out of my home. My work varies as a creative from video work to graphic design and more but it all comes from my home office located right next to my dog's food and water bowls (my hound dog Tate is currently asleep at my feet- exactly where he loves to be, and right where I love to have him). My workdays typically start around 7am and I work through the early afternoon, occasionally in the evenings. Though I have a full office setup, I also have a laptop that travels with me during house/dog sitting sessions if I need to be away for an extended period of time. As my work is on the creative spectrum, I can always adapt my schedule to fit around yours (and your pup's). Whether it's daily walks or stays with your dog, you can rest assured that they will be looked after with love, care, and the attention they deserve. I live in an apartment in Annapolis so we don't have a fenced in yard. Instead, I take my boy out in the neighborhood on short and extended walks and in the community dog park. Sniff spots and local trails are always on our schedule as our dog is high-energy so he thrives on long walks with lots of smells. Depending on your dog's needs and routine, I'm happy to take them on long walks in and around your neighborhood and parks they're comfortable with, or just playing with them in your own backyard. I'm also open to taking them further out to nature hikes and trails as long as you're comfortable with that. I tend to have Blue Buffalo, Newman's Own, and Charlee Bear treats at the ready (but of course that's up to your discretion) for good dogs and I always adhere to any diet or medication requirements to ensure a happy and healthy experience. I treat your dog like I treat my own and I've always had a great experience with every breed and personality.

Avery stepped up when we really needed her with only a couple of weeks notice for our honeymoon, and stayed for a full 2 weeks watching our two young goldens, including one that’s still a 8 month old puppy. She did an awesome job with them, was a great communicator, and sent tons of good pictures. Don’t know how we would have been able to enjoy our big trip without knowing they were in good hands with her. She also helped out around the house with cleaning, watering plants, pool maintenance, and even dealing with a repairman on a dryer issue that happened right as we were leaving town. She certainly went above and beyond and we couldn’t recommend her enough!!
Code and Dana were amazing! They sent pics daily of their walks and kept me updated on my picky eater. Code came early the day we left to feed and walk the dogs with me to understand what challenges they may see. We have 3 dogs so it’s not always easy to find sitters who can handle them but they made it seem easy. I really can’t recommend them enough. The house was cleaner than how I left it too!! Don’t question it-just book them!!
We loved having Karen watch our pets while we were away for a wedding! We have 3 big dogs and 1 cat who needs medication morning/night, so it’s no easy task but Karen did amazing with them all. She was very responsive and communicative the entire weekend, and she left our house better than she found it. We would definitely book Karen again in the future.
Tessa was great! She was our first dogsitter for our four year old bernedoodle and we were nervous leaving her for a spring break vacation, but she and Tessa really bonded and had a fun time together. Tessa stayed in our house for 5 nights, was very responsive to texts, and took great care of our dog Bebe, taking her for walks, playing with her, feeding her, and cuddling with her. She also sent some adorable pictures so we knew Bebe was in good hands. We hope to have her dogsit for us again soon! Jazmin is great! Our furbaby, Einstein, is very comfortable with her! Jazmin is great with our big (pushing 60 lbs) rescue pup.
