About: Hi! I’m a high school teacher who teaches culinary arts. At home, I have a golden retriever, Saffron and a Labradoodle, Leo. I live on 2 1/2 acres, one of which is fenced in and perfect for furry friends to run and play! I am a teacher and gone from 7 am to 3:30 pm, but my parents live next door and watch my animals when I am away. Growing up, my brother had a service dog who was part Great Dane and part Black Lab. He became part of the family! I think that’s what started my love for animals. Since college, I’ve had at least one pet. While in Culinary school, I worked long hours. For Christmas, I got my cat, Basil. She was at the door with a “meow” at the end of long days in the kitchen. When I began my career as a culinary teacher, I bought my first house with a back yard and almost immediately added my girls, Sage and Sketch to the household! I work full time as a high school teacher. but live next door to my parents who watch over my pets. They love them as if they were their own! I have an acre, fenced in back yard. My dogs love the country, running and playing in the back yard! They are house dogs, but love the chance to run as much as possible.

“The absolute BEST! Extremely nice and very caring! Sent the cutest pics of my pup! If you are needing to board your fur baby I would 1000% recommend! Thanks soo much for taking care of my pup! If we ever need to board him again you will definitely be our first choice!”

“Don’t even question it- just book with Maggie! She’s amazing, our fur baby had an amazing time. We loved the pictures and Maggie’s warmth and caring personality. We will definitely use her again :)”

“Sarah was amazing! We received multiple pictures and updates daily. Her doggies are really sweet and got along well with ours. We look forward to booking with Sarah again soon!”

“Maggie and Michael were amazing! They took such good care of my pup, she looked happy and comfortable the entire stay so I will surely bring her back again and would highly recommend them!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Shelbyville
Patrick was awesome! He took great care of Winter, giving him plenty of attention and treating our horse of a puppy like he was his own. I really appreciated that he was willing to watch a dog who had never stayed with anyone outside of our family. Patrick kept us updated throughout Winter's stay, which meant a lot because both my son and I were worried that Winter might act differently around someone he didn't know. Those worries disappeared almost immediately. Within about 15 minutes, Winter was letting Patrick pet him and had already flopped down for a nap. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to leave Winter with Patrick again.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
