About: I’ve always been an animal lover, from horses to reptiles! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and some of the others throughout. We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. We love walking dogs, playing fetch, petting them, and providing lots of love. We enjoy playing with cat toys, and giving them plenty of attention as well.

I grew up with lots of pets including dogs, cats, a snake, chickens, and a bunny! With this I have a gained a wide range of expertise including administering medication including ear and eye drops. Currently, I have a cane corso named Helen who is getting to be an old lady but she remains the sweetest girl ever, I call her my gentle house hippo💕 I'm happily spending my summer pet sitting while I prepare for grad school! About: Retired from workforce, former military, active person, daily walks with our dogs—neighborhood, parks, trails. Worked with certified dog trainer for our two dogs. Time on my hands. About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 8. I absolutely love spending time outdoors and visiting the dog park. I have always enjoyed spending time with animals, and have watched several pets besides my own. I currently attend App State as an IO Psychology Graduate Student, so I have a very flexible schedule. I frequently go for runs at local parks after work, and would love to bring your dog with! I have a backyard, but it is unfenced. However I am willing to take pets to any other locations, such as hiking trails or dog parks. I am able to spend time with pets because all of my free time is spent outdoors! Whether it's taking a walk around the neighborhood, running around a state park, or hanging out in the backyard, I enjoy being outdoors regardless of the weather. I am not able to take dogs into my apartment, however I have a car for easy transportation to nearby outdoor areas. About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a toddler. I have fostered, pet sat for friends and family many times and recently lost my own dog of 13 years. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been taking care of animals since I was 15 years old. I stared working at a vets office and haven’t looked back. Pet care can look like many different things in my week such as, a single feeding, a walk, a check in or the full on in home service with all the feedings and all the walks. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
