“Kayla was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Boone. He warmed up to her right away, and she took great care of him during our Thanksgiving travels. She was reliable, thorough, and clearly very comfortable with dogs, which made it so easy to relax knowing he was in good hands. She even went above and beyond by bringing bottled water for him when our pipes froze. We’re so grateful for her help and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”

About: I've had a dog my entire life and have trained and taken care of my current dog for 8 years. I have also had experience taking care of cats and other animals. Friends, family, and other people have relied on me to walk, feed, play, and take care of their pets. I am a college student so I have flexible hours during the week and have most weekends free. I am willing to take care of pets for any length of time. I care for pets in client's home in many ways but I always respect the client's rules. I can walk pets, let them outside, play with them, feed them, and crate them. I always give pets a lot of attention and take care of them like they were my own.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been taking care of animals since I was 15 years old. I stared working at a vets office and haven’t looked back. Pet care can look like many different things in my week such as, a single feeding, a walk, a check in or the full on in home service with all the feedings and all the walks. While, I would love to have every dog and cat over to my house I can’t realistically do that b/c I own a cat who does love other cats and she tolerates dogs, your dog or cat would have to be cat friendly. So most of my jobs are me coming to your home whether that is a drop in or a full time boarding situation while you’re on vacation.
About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, cats, and birds. I have administered medication for older cats and dogs, fed and rode horses, learned how to intervene safely in the event of a dog altercation, and love just spending time with pets of all types and sizes. As I kid, before everyone had a smartphone, I made fliers for dog walking and petsitting, and spread them in nearby neighborhoods. Throughout late elemtary school and middle school I did loads of dog walking and caring for pets while their owners were away. In high school my time was more consumed by schoolwork and sports, but I was still exposed to petsitting though my brother who did Rover constantly. I spent lots of time with him, and observed his tender and efficient care for the animals he looked after. Hello! I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University with a degree in Agroecology (sustainable agriculture). In Boone I worked on a farm with livestock such as goats, chickens, and pigs. I also worked with children ages 4-14 for two years at High Country Forest WIld- an all outdoor experiential education program. I also balanced taking care of my two cats while having loads of schoolwork and trying to maintain a social life. Now I'm back home in the triangle and eager to continue working with animals, as its one of the things that brings me feel joy. Petsitting allows me a flexible job while I navigate this next chapter of my life and gives me another way to connect with the community in another way. I cherish each chance to meet everyone's furry companions & learn more about people outside of my daily rhythms. I am an avid hiker, runner, and nature lover, so am always happy to take along any pet that's down for an adventure to the nearby trails. I've watched houses with up to 7 dogs at a time, so I'm very comfortable with multiple animals and giving each one the attention they need. No one knows your pet better than you. So whatever information you would like to provide for me to know their needs while you're away would be appreciated. Such as the way they take their medication best, places they love to go, how they handle interacting with new animals/people, and any triggering behavior to look out for.

“Anna is very nice, professional and loves animals. I could tell Solo enjoyed her company when she sent me a photo of him when she came over. I felt very comfortable letting her come in my home while I was away and will be using her services again without hesitation.”

About: Retired from workforce, former military, active person, daily walks with our dogs—neighborhood, parks, trails. Worked with certified dog trainer for our two dogs. Time on my hands. I am retired and have plenty of time when not playing with our own two dogs and exercising. They are the center of our lives. We have a fenced in back yard for our dogs. Since I am retired, and my wife works part time, I spend most of my time with our dogs. We will not bring client’s pets to our home nor will my wife be a caretaker.

About: I have professional experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments as a kennel care attendant. I'm also working towards my bachelor's degree in wildlife rehabilitation! I've owned all kinds of pets growing up from dogs and cats to mice, bunnies, birds, fish, and even a snake and a frog. I will treat your pets the same as my own, with respect and complete adoration. I'll even send you pictures of your pets during each visit for when you're missing your babies. I'm currently working towards a bachelor's of science degree, so I'll be pretty busy in the morning on weekdays (when in Banner elk, nc). My schedule usually calms down after 12pm, except Teusdays which are very busy. Please feel free to message me about what you're looking for and we can see if things will work out. I will not be able to stay at your house 24/7 due to my schedule. I will also have to go home for school breaks (winter/summer/spring). When I am at home (Newport News, VA), I will be available 24/7. Just message me and I'll let you know if my location has changed or will be changing before the date you need. But I will be doing my best to change my location on here in a timely manner. I'm a big advocate for playtime. I won't just stand around your house during the scheduled visits and let your dog be bored. We'll play with toys and run around and if you have a fenced in yard you can be sure I'll be out there throwing a tennis ball or playing tug of war with your pup until they're exhausted. I'll make sure our walks leave your dog well excersized and ready to nap for hours after we get home.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and I love them with all my heart. I’m chronically ill with fibromyalgia and I’m home most of the time. I would give adequate attention and smooches to the dogs. 🖤 I’ve also had puppies and had senior dogs. I currently doordash part-time but my fibromyalgia kicks my butt most days. I’m usually home with plenty of free time and affection for the doggies 🖤 I live in an apartment that is two stories. It will have adequate room inside for most dogs and there is a small yard that they can potty on. Inside a client’s home I would make sure everything is safe and sound for the dog
