I'm a college student living in the lovely Banner Elk/Beech area. I'll be here all summer long and am happy to adjust my schedule to care for your pets at any time of day or night. 1. About: I’ve raised and trained 2 dogs since fifth grade and have been the primary caregiver for both of them. My most recent experience was in Alaska working with sled dogs. There I was made responsible for daily feeding and exercise of the dog teams, as well as loading and unloading procedures to get 15-25 large, high energy huskies into kennels or harnesses for excursions. Experience working with high energy dogs. I’m currently going to school at Lees McRae college, so I have a flexible schedule for your dogs! I’m available for those early morning check ins or walks, and from 2pm onward everyday for afternoon to evening visits. I’m can uncrate your pup in the mornings or afternoons and make sure they get a nice break and a chance to potty and get some exercise. I’m comfortable leashing and unleashing dogs, as well as taking them on walks and making sure they get enough exercise. On walks I love active training with any commands they’re supposed to learn, as well as just giving them enough work and time to get out any wiggles!

I have extensive experience with medical care, including giving injections, liquid medications, and complex pill schedules. I also previously held a Groomer’s License in Colorado, so I am very comfortable handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. I’ve cared for animals with everything from broken limbs to chronic diseases, so your pet is in very capable hands." I moved to Elizabethton just before Thanksgiving to be with my parents and I became the primary caregiver for my father, who has dementia. It’s a responsibility I’m proud to take on. Getting out of the house to walk, play with, and fall in love with your pets is exactly what I need to stay balanced. Since I manage my dad’s daily tasks, I have a very flexible schedule and the time to truly focus on your fur-babies. I’m looking for that 'pet therapy' a reason to get out and about just as much as your pets are looking for a loving caregiver. I’ll be there whenever you need me to even in short notice! Safety and trust are my top priorities. When I am in your home, I am respectful of your space and extremely vigilant about door safety and environment hazards. I am honest about my capabilities; I would never attempt a medical or care task if I wasn't 100% confident I could do it safely. My vehicle is also set up for safety, with plenty of room and when needed a leash that conect to their collar or harness then buckes to the backseat so your pets are secure while we are on the go.

About: Retired from workforce, former military, active person, daily walks with our dogs—neighborhood, parks, trails. Worked with certified dog trainer for our two dogs. Time on my hands. I am retired and have plenty of time when not playing with our own two dogs and exercising. They are the center of our lives. We have a fenced in back yard for our dogs. Since I am retired, and my wife works part time, I spend most of my time with our dogs. We will not bring client’s pets to our home nor will my wife be a caretaker.

About: I have professional experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments as a kennel care attendant. I'm also working towards my bachelor's degree in wildlife rehabilitation! I've owned all kinds of pets growing up from dogs and cats to mice, bunnies, birds, fish, and even a snake and a frog. I will treat your pets the same as my own, with respect and complete adoration. I'll even send you pictures of your pets during each visit for when you're missing your babies. I'm currently working towards a bachelor's of science degree, so I'll be pretty busy in the morning on weekdays (when in Banner elk, nc). My schedule usually calms down after 12pm, except Teusdays which are very busy. Please feel free to message me about what you're looking for and we can see if things will work out. I will not be able to stay at your house 24/7 due to my schedule. I will also have to go home for school breaks (winter/summer/spring). When I am at home (Newport News, VA), I will be available 24/7. Just message me and I'll let you know if my location has changed or will be changing before the date you need. But I will be doing my best to change my location on here in a timely manner. I'm a big advocate for playtime. I won't just stand around your house during the scheduled visits and let your dog be bored. We'll play with toys and run around and if you have a fenced in yard you can be sure I'll be out there throwing a tennis ball or playing tug of war with your pup until they're exhausted. I'll make sure our walks leave your dog well excersized and ready to nap for hours after we get home.

About: I've been loving my cat and dog for a good 15 years, and have plenty of love for your babies too! I'm comfortable administering meds and caring for older animals. From my volunteering, I can handle many temperaments. I'm confident in walking a good few miles as well. I'm currently working part-time, and its the summer so Im out of school and have plenty of time to dedicate to your babies! I'm officially only unavailable on Tuesdays from 4-6. I'm a morning bird and night owl! I have a fenced in yard with an older pup and a calm older kitty. It's just my Mom and I at home, so a calm, quiet environment. We've got a large backyard and plenty of energy to provide if needed!

About: My family have always owned at least 4 dogs at a time and growing up it was our responsibility as kids to care for them. We would brush them, walk them, feed them, and bath them. I recently graduated with an MBA from East Tennessee State University and I’m working full time as a marketing manager for Ballad Health Medical Associates. I work 3 in days in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and work 2 days remotely Monday and Friday. My job is 2 minutes from my home so I would be able to check on your dog during lunch or check on them at your place. For this reason I don’t accept house sitting on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday that are more than 10 miles away. They will have my attention at all time. They might get tired of me wanting to play with them. I love being around dogs and will make sure your fury friend is well taken care of and happy
