Over the summer I will be working close to full time as a student at the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center on LMC campus. My days off are Monday and Sunday, so I am completely free to take care of your animals on those days! In June I will be able to do drop-ins anytime before 1pm and/or after 8pm Tuesday-Saturday. In July I will be able to do drop-ins any time before 8am and after 2pm Tuesday-Saturday. Depending on your distance from LMC campus I may be able to do one quick drop-in during my work break. I apologize for my crazy schedule! If you reach out to me I will do my best to see what I can do for you! After mid-August I should be freed up a whole lot more!

Life-Long Animal Lover!
Pet care experience
I was fortunate enough to grow up with a mother who is a dog trainer and foster-fail enthusiast, so I’ve been gathering animal care experience my whole life. There have almost always been 10+ animals in my home at any given time, and I’ve pet sit the whole house more times than I can count. Growing up, I walked neighbors’ dogs and assisted my mom’s training classes, particularly for reactive dogs and proper handling. I taught my own dog, Jojen, tricks to perform in my school talent show in third grade. I’ve learned how to administer medication, bottle feed kittens, and confidently read an animal’s body language. I also worked in a professional setting both as an assistant dog groomer and a caretaker at PetSuites while I was in high-school. Currently, I’m a wildlife biology student at Lees-McRae College, with a focus in wildlife rehabilitation. My love of animals extends far beyond just cats and dogs, so if you have any other furry or non-furry friends, I would love to meet them too!

Reviews
CAITLIN was wonderful. I liked her write from the Meet and great. She was timely and communicated and that’s what I needed.. thanks to her I had. A most memorable time here in this area, hiking and biking when I knew Maddie would be well. Taken care of. I will definitely use robert.com again thanks to Caitlin ❤️

Caitlin took excellent care of our two rough collies! We felt we could never leave them before because the youngest has a seizure disorder and has a routine of medicine at night and in the morning. The oldest is 12 and has had some incontinence issues in the past. They both love Caitlin! The youngest had no problems taking his medicine. They both ate and went on many walks. When we returned, we were welcomed by two very happy collies. We are very thankful for Carlin and will definitely call on her again.

I had an emergency and needed someone to take my two rough collies on their twice-daily walks. One is a retired service dog who is deaf, and the other is a young collie with epilepsy. Because of their special needs, I was quite anxious about finding the right person. Caitlin was exactly what I needed. She had a calm, reassuring presence and was warm, gentle, and playful with both dogs. She quickly understood their individual needs. By the second day, they were eagerly waiting for her arrival. Luna, the service dog, had never “done her business” on a leash before, but with Caitlin, she had no hesitation. Seeing that I have limited mobility, Catlin asked if there were other things she could do to be helpful.. I admire her initiative and appreciated her help. I will definitely be calling on her again.

Caitlin did a great job with our two girls! One was recovering from a stomach surgery and Caitlin was able to administer medication and special food on last minute notice. We could tell from the pictures that she sent that our girls were comfortable and happy. Caitlin was very communicative the whole stay. We will be booking again in a few weeks! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter.
