About: Are you a dog parent who’s worried whether your sitter will treat your dog as family AND actually provide them with individual care and attention instead of just being one of MANY dogs staying within the home? I know this experience first hand as I also worry about my dog’s safety especially when a sitter’s home has several dogs, which pretty much mimics a boarding facility. This defeats the purpose to me of my dog staying in a home, so as a dog sitter myself, I aim to do just the opposite. _______________________________________ Hi! My name is Dianne, and I am a long-time foster dog mom and have a foster fail of my own. I have been fostering since 2017 and have successful adopted out 11 dogs through Fetch WI rescue and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in DC. •• MY CARE APPROACH •• I aim to always provide high-quality and safe care by hosting AT MOST 2 dogs at a time (in addition to my resident dog, Kona). This is especially important to us as we know how crowded boarding facilities can be (AND sometimes sitters’ homes) and the stress this can cause on dogs. My goal is to be able to provide constant and undivided attention to your pup while in my home. I also require meet & greets before booking to ensure your dog is comfortable with mine. After booking, I still ensure that all dogs get properly introduced to each other (first outside on a leash, then through a gate barrier, and finally without barriers). As an experienced foster parent, safety will always be my top priority. You can expect to get an immediate update to how your pup is settling in after drop off and daily after that. You won’t have to wait around for updates. Leaving your baby is also stressful, and I hope to alleviate some of that stress with constant, reliable communication (I know I expect the same with my Kona 🙂) My husband, Jake, and I work from home and would love the opportunity to provide individualized care for your pup. ———— ———— ———— ———— —— Since I do not have a backyard, I provide several walks throughout the day for daycare and boarding dogs as well as providing dedicated play time either in the house or in an unfenced grassy area behind our house using long rope leads to allow the freedom for dogs to run around (if requested). I make sure to account for each dog’s needs whether they need a lot of activity and stimulation or if they would just prefer to hang around the house and nap. I hope I get to meet your pup! I currently work from home and have a ton of flexibility to step away from my computer as needed. My husband works a hybrid schedule and will be home some days. I have a mellow 5 year old resident dog who loves to play if your pup is interested. Otherwise she pretty much minds her own business. She is a St. Bernard and Blackmouth cur mix who is very gentle and has had a lot of exposure to dogs of varying temperaments through fostering. She can’t wait to meet you pup!

About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a mostly stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 3 year old and 6 year old and 1 year old. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and an outside cat. Both me and my husband have owned dogs all our lives, and experienced in animal care. Professionally, I’ve worked as a barn manager, dog groomer, dog walker, trainer, and dog handler for an Iditarod musher! I’ve been pet sitting since I was 10 years old and absolutely love it!!!! I care greatly about dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of with plenty of love and exercise. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash a one year old Australian Shepherd and Littles a 15 year old Boston terrier mix. Both love to play!! Cash is still a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 15 and recently lost his sight He’ll try to keep up with Cash but mostly just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy (the love of my life) in their late twenties, some chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. Including injections I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.

About: Hello! While I don’t have any specific training on animals I grew up with a variety of pets all my life. I’m fond of our furry companions and have learned their needs and special requirements tailored to their unique personalities. I have a lot of downtime and can provide cuddles and or distance. I’ve never struggled with any pet, I enjoy offering extra care and even have a grooming station if needed. I love to be active as well so walking wont be a problem. I work from home for now. I do have appointments throughout the week sometimes but do not take longer than 2 hours. I wake up early and sleep late for potty break needs. I’m usually done with work around 2 and can take them to a park after or on the weekends. In my home I can crate dogs if preferred or let them roam freely at my place. My apartment complex has a little dog park and plenty of walking trails around the neighborhood for exercising needs. During our outings I will avoid other pets just for safety reasons. I have my own car that can be used for emergencies or longer trips to better pet friendly parks. They can sleep anywhere they’d like. If in your home, I will carefully do exactly as you say/request. “Shadid is amazing! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about leaving my puppy, Rudy, with someone else. From the moment we met Shadid, she was great with Rudy. I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. I don’t think he even noticed me leave because he was so excited to hang out with Shadid & Pebbles all day. Throughout the day, I received pictures of Rudy at the park and playing. It felt great knowing that Rudy was in good hands and having an amazing day. When I picked Rudy up, he was sad to leave! Rudy can be challenging and usually takes a while to warm up to people, so I was extremely impressed by Shadid’s ability to care for dogs. I would absolutely be comfortable leaving Rudy with Shadid again and am so grateful that I found her. If you love your dog and don’t know which sitter will be best, contact Shadid!! Your dog will have the best day and you’ll feel great knowing he/she is in good hands! From a professional standpoint, Shadid is excellent. I’m in medical school and was taking an exam during Rudy’s stay, so it was important to me that the sitter be professional. Shadid was perfect. She responds quickly and is completely reliable. About: I have been a dog lover for decades, growing up with chocolate labs. For the past 17 years I’ve had my sweet bichon/yorkie mix brother and sister (Harry and Bella), and now an 5 yo Chocolate Lab named Blu. Our dogs get along with dogs of ALL sizes. I have a fenced in backyard and and 10 year old loves to run around with the dogs and help me on walks. If you prefer walks be added to the backyard play, we have a great walk to the neighborhood park or local trails. I’m very attentive and patient, and curling up with the dogs on the couch or bed is all too common. I believe dogs are part of the family. I welcome your dogs to join the family in a caring, energetic and safe home. I’m currently working from home and have multiple breaks taking my dog on walks. I’m typically running errands Sundays and prefer an early pick up or late drop off if on Sundays. I can fit my schedule to most drop off and pick up time and days, just ask :). I have a fully fenced backyard and am able to crate your pup on there own level (should you have an anxious sleeper). You give me their typical potty schedule, feeding times or meds, and I’ll adjust so you return to a happy pup.
