“Christa was pleasant and welcoming. She obviously loves cats. The only problem was our cat, Maurice, came home and wanted the attention that had been lavished on him! Spoiled! We'll definitely use Christa again. Thanks for such good care and affection.”

“Marylee (and her husband) were amazing!! I pick Rover people based on if I would want to stay with them lol!! At the meet and greet she was very thorough with her questions about the cat and dog and making sure all their needs were met. It felt like she has an understanding about the types of issues that could arise and how to deal with them. Very organized. Very attentive, warm loving people. I was sent updates and photos throughout my time away. Her yard is crazy big and beautiful and fenced in. My dog LOVED it! She was able to accommodate my daughter’s cat at the same time last minute. I felt so secure knowing they were being well taken care of while I was gone. Cat had her little cat tower and pictures of the cat by the glass door able to look outside and see everything. I am done searching for Rover people… will definitely use Marylee again. Excellent!!”

“Jen was awesome with Max and Daizy! I’m always a little nervous leaving them, but she made me feel so much better with updates and how well she handled everything. My pups can be a little particular, and she did great with them. You can tell she really cares. Definitely would book her again!”

“Amazing!!! Samantha and her family watched our corgi, Momo, for two whole weeks. We got daily pictures and videos and updates, which we LOVED. She took great care of him and treated him like her own <3 He really fell in love with them (and with Winston, their friendly family dog). I’m not sure Momo wanted to come home hahaha. Best experience I could’ve asked for!”

About: I have cared for all sorts of animals from Raccoons to horses over the past 50 years. I have run my own horse farm and had dogs and cats along the way. I know the signs of distress, can handle emergencies, administer medications and enjoy being with and caring for animals. I have nursed our older fur-babies and understand the needs of seniors. We also understand and work with positive reinforcement training with our animals, which they find very fun to engage with. Several years ago, we lost our large (great pyrenees cross) at nearly 17 years old! Our other dog, Winnie, recently passed away and I miss her company, as my kids are grown and my "baby" is off at college. and I thought Rover might be a way to be a win-win. I sold our horse farm about 7 years ago, and our remaining horses live at a stable nearby. I do have one house cat that lives with me. We live on 2 fenced in acres which back up to the Magruder Branch Trail. Along with walks along the street, we can also take your dog on the trail for lots of sniffs and sounds. We will feed and medicate them as requested. My husband is retired, I am semi retired and my oldest son has graduated, so someone is almost always in the house to let your dog in and out, play and walk as needed. To ensure the safety and compatibility of our pets and yours, we require a "meet and greet" prior to agreeing to host your dog. I am unable to accommodate dogs who are not house trained or who are aggressive or destructive. I currently work part time with my horses 10 minutes away. My husband has early onset dementia and now lives in assisted living. I have a 19 year old son who attends UCLA and will be home for the summer. We both love to hike and have trails right behind our 2 acre property. I am home a lot during the day (and night) and would love to play, walk and snuggle with your dog! Our 2 acre yard is completely fenced. We have had dogs safely secured for years. Our animals are family, and they generally have run of the house. Our cat likes to sleep on the beds, but we tend to let the dogs sleep on the dog bed, floor or couch of their choosing. There are no stairs to get out to the yard, so it is easy access for an older dog. I gave away all of Winnie's dog toys when she passed away so you would need to bring some for your dog during your stay. But we would not have to worry about any doggie arguments! My home is a non-smoking household. I am able to administer medications such as pills, eye ointments, IM and subQ injections, etc. I also have training in T-touch and Positive Reinforcement training.

“Our dog always appears well taken care of. She is happy when we drop her off and pick her up. Sophia is reliable and flexible and always sends us cute pictures of our dog during the trip. Lucy is always clean when we pick her up. We are very happy with Sophia!!”

“Our third time boarding with Sharon, and our pup got great, responsive care as usual! Freeda settles in quick and gets plenty of exercise and love. Sharon is very responsive, keeps us updated each day with pictures, and coordinates her schedule to check in on Freeda even during her in-office days. We had some travel issues and schedule delays, and Sharon was incredibly flexible. We highly recommend Sharon and will continue using her as our first choice for Freeda's care when we're out of town!”

“Karen was extremely nice, very welcoming of our pup Milo! she kept me updated with videos and pics which really showed how happy and safe Milo was! I really recommend her and will definitely keep booking with her in a future😊😊”

“Caden was great, buddy, my 9 year old border collie love him and I got updates regularly, he took great care on him and I will definitely be booking with him again. Highly recommend”

About: For over 20 years, I’ve devoted my life to caring for dogs with the same love and attention I give my own. As a professional groomer and lifelong animal lover, I’ve learned that every dog has its own personality, quirks, and needs—and that they all deserve a safe, happy place to call home while their families are away. At my home-based boarding, your pup isn’t just a guest—they’re family. With a cozy indoor space, a secure outdoor play yard, and plenty of cuddles in between, I make sure every tail wags with joy. Whether it’s playtime, rest time, or a little extra pampering, my goal is always to give them comfort, care, and peace of mind—so you can feel at ease knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Pet care is my life and my passion. As a home-based groomer with 20+ years of experience, I combine professional skills with the comfort of a family environment. Dogs aren’t just clients—they’re guests in a loving home where every wagging tail is noticed, every need is met, and every pup feels safe, happy, and cared for. My home-based setup allows me to give personalized attention, cozy care, and consistent love that bigger facilities often can’t match. My home doubles as a haven for pups! I have a cozy basement workshop where I work, a special indoor play yard where puppies can romp safely, and a fenced outdoor yard for fresh-air fun. And of course, after work, it’s family time—they’re free to snuggle, play, and enjoy life with me beyond the yard.

“Varsha and her family took great care of our Dog when we were away , treated like their own family member. “She took care of my Kitties last minute, and one of them I adopted a week ago and they weren't quite on hospitable terms yet. About: I grew up on a farm learning to take care of many different animals. We have always had dogs and a cat growing up as well as fish. On the farm I also learned to care for cows, goats, sheep, chickens, turkey, and ducks. I also used to work on a local tree farm taking care of all their field dogs and barn cats. Along with that I am also the first person most family and friends call when they go out of town to take care of their pets. I am home from college for the summer and have lots of free time. I am very flexible and will be able to work with your schedule to provide the best care for your animals I can. I have a car and will happily drive to you. I have leashes and can get waste bags to fit the needs of your neighborhood or preference. I will always make sure your pet gets enough exercise and engagement every day, and I will always use the utmost respect when in a clients home if they allow it.
“Christa has a way with animals - my cats liked her immediately when she came over to meet them before my trip. She sent pictures every day. Seeing that all was well helped me relax and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with my family!”

About: Lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats and a horse and studying psychology in college. I believe quality time for bonding, play and affection is just as important as food/potty breaks for pet happiness. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

About: I have been a dog lover for decades, growing up with chocolate labs. For the past 17 years I’ve had my sweet bichon/yorkie mix brother and sister (Harry and Bella), and now an 5 yo Chocolate Lab named Blu. Our dogs get along with dogs of ALL sizes. I have a fenced in backyard and and 10 year old loves to run around with the dogs and help me on walks. If you prefer walks be added to the backyard play, we have a great walk to the neighborhood park or local trails. I’m very attentive and patient, and curling up with the dogs on the couch or bed is all too common. I believe dogs are part of the family. I welcome your dogs to join the family in a caring, energetic and safe home. I’m currently working from home and have multiple breaks taking my dog on walks. I’m typically running errands Sundays and prefer an early pick up or late drop off if on Sundays. I can fit my schedule to most drop off and pick up time and days, just ask :). I have a fully fenced backyard and am able to crate your pup on there own level (should you have an anxious sleeper). You give me their typical potty schedule, feeding times or meds, and I’ll adjust so you return to a happy pup.
About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a mostly stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 3 year old and 6 year old and 1 year old. Professionally, I’ve worked as a barn manager, dog groomer, dog walker, trainer, and dog handler for an Iditarod musher! I’ve been pet sitting since I was 10 years old and absolutely love it!!!! I care greatly about dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of with plenty of love and exercise. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash a one year old Australian Shepherd and Littles a 15 year old Boston terrier mix. Both love to play!! Cash is still a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 15 and recently lost his sight He’ll try to keep up with Cash but mostly just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy (the love of my life) in their late twenties, some chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. Including injections I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.
“Yuhui took great care of Miso, played with her, and gave Miso a lot of attention. She gave us a detailed report on what Miso did during her time there and took her out on multiple walks. Miso enjoyed spending her time there.”

“Shadid is amazing! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about leaving my puppy, Rudy, with someone else. From the moment we met Shadid, she was great with Rudy. I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. I don’t think he even noticed me leave because he was so excited to hang out with Shadid & Pebbles all day. Throughout the day, I received pictures of Rudy at the park and playing. It felt great knowing that Rudy was in good hands and having an amazing day. When I picked Rudy up, he was sad to leave! Rudy can be challenging and usually takes a while to warm up to people, so I was extremely impressed by Shadid’s ability to care for dogs. I would absolutely be comfortable leaving Rudy with Shadid again and am so grateful that I found her. If you love your dog and don’t know which sitter will be best, contact Shadid!! Your dog will have the best day and you’ll feel great knowing he/she is in good hands! From a professional standpoint, Shadid is excellent. I’m in medical school and was taking an exam during Rudy’s stay, so it was important to me that the sitter be professional. Shadid was perfect. She responds quickly and is completely reliable. I strongly recommend her!”

“Nithya was absolutely fantastic! We had a crazy day with moving, so our timeframe got a little messed up from the original plans. She was super accommodating and flexible with all the changes! “She was great with my dog in every aspect!! My little guy thoroughly enjoyed with her and her very friendly ,sweet, dogs .Real friendly ,passionate and understanding household.Would totally recommend and repeat !!✌?”

“Really appreciate Collin's flexibility and how well he was able to work with my pup. Was consistent with communication and understanding of any requests made. Will definitely choose Collin again!”

“I have been extremely satisfied with the dog walking services provided by Cornell over the past months. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional reliability, arriving punctually for every scheduled walk and maintaining clear communication throughout our arrangement. His genuine care for my dogs has been evident in the detailed updates and photos he shared after each outing, ensuring they received attentive, safe, and engaging exercise. I highly recommend his professional and trustworthy services to any pet owner seeking a dependable dog walker.”

About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my whole life and have experience taking care of animals as small as fish to as big as horses. I’ve also taken care of old dogs with special health needs and puppies. Just moved to the area so looking to pick up some new clients as I look for a more full time job. My availability may fluctuate as this happens but I’m happy to work with you as best as I can through any changes! With all pet care I always follow instructions to a T and am quick to notice if something is off with a pet. With overnight sitting I also tend to make sure the house stays neat and pets get lots of attention.
About: As an experienced pet sitter and cat owner, I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. By having my own pet I understand the need for patience, attention to detail, and maintaining routines. I provide compassionate care tailored to each pets needs and personality, treating every animal as if they were part of my own family. Im am currently working part time and at most work three times a week. This allows me to have a lot of availability to care for your animals! I care for pets in clients homes by following their normal routines to help pets feel safe and comfortable. I also give regular updates to owners and make sure the pets get plenty of love when their owners are away.
About: Hello! My name is Dylan, I've grown up with animals all my life and love nothing more than animals. I have cared for senior dogs as well as unpotty trained puppies. I cater to each dog differently and schedule out playtime, walks, and eating schedules/diets. Please let me know if your pet has any medication, allergies, special diets, or any behavioral issues. Also be aware that I own 2 lovely dogs that love company and are great with others. My wife and I have differing schedules that allows me to be home during the day til 6pm and back home at 8:30pm. My wife is at home during the times I am away so there is always somone to take care of your pet(s). Additionally my wife and I both have opposite days off so there is someone home all day 4 days out of the week. At my house I have a fenced in yard, a wooded walking/running path down the street, and a dog park across the road. If you have any specific requests on playing and exercise let me know. I have a crate for pets apon requests but your pet is free to roam around the house as they please day or night. I own 2 dogs that at very friendly, but if your pet does not get along with others just know I won't be able to take care of them.
“Monats was super helpful and really came through for our pup during a schedule pinch! She took excellent care of Rosie and was very on top of making sure Rosie’s care requirements were met. And I really appreciated her experience and diligence in catching and thwarting my dogs attempts to eat sticks and mulch even though I had forgotten to warn in advance!”

“Link enjoyed his stay. The videos of him having zoomies don’t lie. Picked him up and he was tuckered. Thank you Curtis, Lindsey and family for treating Link as one of your own. Will definitely book you guys for future times when Link can’t travel with us.”

“Our 3 1/2 year old husky, Skye, had a great first stay with Carrie and her family. He was welcomed so warmly to the family and made himself right at home. He came home calm, happy and tired - all signs of time well spent! And Fozzie is a wonderful playmate and sweet boy!! Overall, a great experience for our family.”

“Kiara was absolutely amazing! You can tell she really loves animals and they love her, too! She was very responsive whenever I reached out to her and she sent videos and pictures during Chase's stay. I will definitely be using her services again!”

“I would not hesitate to recommend Yuhui to anyone. Chester had a wonderful time with her! She is super attentive and takes great care of my dog. This was my first time booking Yuhui, and we are already looking forward to having Chester stay with her again when we are out of town. Highly recommend!”

“This is practically my dogs second home, she doesn’t even say bye to me anymore. Evvery always treats pup like a Queen and goes above and beyond each and every stay. I really appreciate her and would always highly recommend.”
“Ameneh and Niki went far above and beyond while sitting our Shiba Inu during January 2026. We had not one but three plane cancellations due to the large winter storm resulting us being unable to pick up our dog for an entire week longer than expected. Ameneh was very flexible and highly responsive to messages, assuring us that our boy would be well cared for despite our delay and sending frequent pictures. Most significantly, our dog suffers from seizures and takes medicine to prevent them - when he ran out of seizure medication, Ameneh and Niki traveled to our house and retrieved more medication. I would undoubtedly recommend them to care for your pet as they will make every effort to keep your pet safe and happy; even in extremely extenuating circumstances!”

“Andrea is the perfect sitter! I appreciated her flexibility with drop off and pick up times and her very calm, personable and welcoming demeanor. Sarge loved being at her house and was already exploring the house by the time I left. Andrea made sure he had all the comforts of home and even got him to sleep in a dog bed that she provided. When I picked him up, he was very content and in no hurry to go home. I have already booked another stay, as I know Sarge will be in good care with Andrea.”

“This was our first time using Rover and it was a great experience. Frances was wonderful and very responsive during the entire process from booking the reservation, to the meet and greet and sending pictures and updates during our vacation. She and her family took amazing care of our dog. We will definitely book again with her!”

“Gisselle and family are amazing! She is very attentive and loving. We already have her booked for two more stays. From the moment we dropped him off, she was loving and relaxed, so we knew she was able to handle our little man with issues. It gave us peace of mind that he was safe and happy, so we can enjoy our time away.”
