“This is the second time I've used Nithya for my dog Millie. I was a little nervous the first time because Millie is only about 20 pounds, and Koda is a big Husky, but, true to Nithya's profile, Koda is very well behaved. Now there is also Snowy who is also very friendly. I think Millie and Snowy had fun together, and Koda made sure they were behaving themselves. Nithya was great at keeping me informed about how Millie was doing. Millie is a snuggler, and, thankfully Nithya let her snuggle as much as she wanted. I am grateful to have found Nithya (and Koda and now Snowy).”

“Absolutely THRILLED with the excellent care given to our orange tabby by Eva over the Thanksgiving holiday. We found Eva via Rover and were especially drawn to her because of her profile photo with her own kitty. (Seems that most Rover caregivers are focused on dogs. Eva takes care of dogs, too!) We had a meet and greet with Eva along with a second advance meeting to turn over the key. In both pre-visits, Eva was punctual and professional, as well as warm and personable. She is also conscientious and respectful. For example, although we didn't ask her to do so, she removed her shoes at the front door. She was careful approaching our cat, allowing him to meet her on his terms. Eva took all of our instructions and asked great questions so we were all on the same page. She even asked for a sweeper to clean up the kitty litter. In addition, we asked Eva to bring in our mail and newspapers. She left the papers carefully by the door and the mail in a neat pile on the counter. She had washed the bowls and utensils and everything was so tidy when we returned. We had great communication with Eva during the visit, and we really like Rover's check-in/check-out procedures and photos. All of this is to give Eva high praise and big thanks and kudos for exceptional service. We would hire Eva again without hesitation. She is terrific!”

About: I've been caring for cats for most of my life, both personally and professionally. I grew up with cats and later worked in the cat room at a local humane society, where I fed the cats, cleaned their cages and litter boxes, and spent time socializing and playing with them. That's also where I met Penny, the first cat I adopted on my own after falling in love with her while caring for her at the shelter. I especially enjoy taking care of older or quiet cats who might need time to decide if they like a new person. My current cat, Millie, is a shy senior, so I am used to letting a cat set the pace. I pay close attention to cat body language and I try to recognize what a cat is comfortable with. I'm happy to handle the everyday essentials that keep your cats cared for while you’re away: feeding, fresh water, litter-box cleaning, play and companionship, and following their normal routine and your written instructions. About: Dogs have been in my life since I was 12 years old. I have had 4 dogs throughout that time. I have experience with both senior dogs and high-energy younger dogs. I am more used to smaller dogs, but one of my current 2 dogs is a 54lb pitt-bull, the other one is a 15lb pug mix. I also used to take care of a 70lb standard poodle for a family I was a nanny for. As your dog becomes more familiar and confident, I may gradually increase freedom with a longer leash while continuing to closely observe their behavior. At night, your dog will stay comfortably inside our home. They are welcome to sleep on the floor or in their preferred sleeping area. If your dog feels more comfortable in a crate, I can move their crate upstairs and place it next to my bed so they can feel secure and relaxed throughout the night. She also sent me updates and photos during the stay and it looked like he was completely relaxed and having the best time. I also added on grooming during his stay, since she’s also a home based groomer and did such an amazing job(she told me she has 20 years of grooming experience!!) “Shadid is amazing! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about leaving my puppy, Rudy, with someone else. From the moment we met Shadid, she was great with Rudy. I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. I don’t think he even noticed me leave because he was so excited to hang out with Shadid & Pebbles all day. Throughout the day, I received pictures of Rudy at the park and playing. It felt great knowing that Rudy was in good hands and having an amazing day. When I picked Rudy up, he was sad to leave! Rudy can be challenging and usually takes a while to warm up to people, so I was extremely impressed by Shadid’s ability to care for dogs. Since I work from home, I am available throughout the day to provide attention, companionship, and supervision. I am able to adjust my schedule to match your dog's normal routine, including feeding times, potty breaks, playtime, and rest periods. Because I am home most of the time, your dog will not be left unattended. When spending time in our spacious fenced backyard, I carefully supervise outdoor activities to make sure your dog stays safe while enjoying fresh air, playtime, and exploring. During the warmer months, dogs may also enjoy supervised pool time if they are comfortable with water. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Because we have a large, fully fenced backyard with both grassy areas and woods, I introduce every dog to the outdoor space slowly and carefully. At first, outdoor time will be supervised with a leash so your dog can become comfortable with the new environment. As your dog becomes more familiar and confident, I may gradually increase freedom with a longer leash while continuing to closely observe their behavior. Once I feel your dog is completely comfortable and safe, they can enjoy supervised exploring and walking through the wooded area of our backyard. At night, your dog will stay comfortably inside our home. They are welcome to sleep on the floor or in their preferred sleeping area. If your dog feels more comfortable in a crate, I can move their crate upstairs and place it next to my bed so they can feel secure and relaxed throughout the night.
