“Joy was amazing and truly exceeded our expectations! She took great care of our dog and cat, and they both absolutely loved her. She was reliable, attentive, and gave us so much peace of mind. We would definitely recommend her and will be booking with her again!”

“My Tortie and my Pittie love her. She’s even gone above and beyond and put together a cat tree that’s been partially finished in my front room for months. Just wish my Maine Coon mix would come out from hiding for her.”

“Lesly was amazing! She took great care of my cat, and didn’t bat an eye at the health issues my cat’s been having and the creative ways we were having to work around them. Lesly was super proactive and helpful, I would definitely ask for her to watch her again.”

“Best dog sitter ever, all my worries were gone. I got home and can tell my dog had a good time with Hannah. Definitely would recommend her very attentive, understanding and loving to dogs”

“Ciara is great- friendly, responsive and thorough. ! Most importantly our pup loves her and is always excited to see her. We don’t worry about our senior pup when Ciara is checking in on her”

About: I took care of my sweet black lab Winnie from puppy to senior. I know what it takes to love and care for a fur baby. I crate trained her, she lived in houses, and apartment with me through my 20’s and lived into loving my daughter. Who now wants to be a vet when she grows up. I am a teacher but also have my retired mom with me. We have not dedicated ourselves to a pet since the passing of my senior Labrador. I can commit to walking, playing, and someone being around 24/7 for your fur babies if you choose to board. I can crate your dog and having a large yard and country road for walking. I’m willing to go to dog parks. Whatever your pets needs are I can help with.
“Jada is GREAT and somehow puts up with a super high energy 96 pound lab, which is the MOST incredible and helpful thing a person can do ! She does a GREAT job tiring him out when I have to work in the office and I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend to anyone that has to leave their sweet pups home when they go to work!”

About: I don’t know what sets me apart from other sitters, what I do know is how interactive I am with animals. The love and attention I want to give out to animals is unique to me and will give your dog or cat a glow! There’s no doubt your animal will be treated with care and gentleness that my own babies get. It’s a hobbie, something I’m not so focused on as far as bills. It’s a passion, I love animals and I love helping people feel good about leaving their babies behind for whatever has their physical attention. I have two cats, they have an automatic litter box and I have a dog who gets daily walks for 15-30 mins each time depending on her honestly. The girls are good at eating a little at a time so I don’t need to have them on a food schedule at all.
“Lilly watched my cat on a super last minute request! My cats usually very upset when we leave here for more than a day but after arriving home she seemed so happy! Would definitely book again”

“Kelsey was great with Double 007! She kept us posted on all visits and sent pictures daily. Our kitty definitely looked happy and well taken care of. We met Kelsey before we booked and Double 007 took to her right away. We were confident going away knowing that we were leaving our kitty in great hands. We will definitely book with her again!”

About: Hello! I’m Kas – an experienced pet and house sitter based in Cleveland, Texas who happens to also be Australian. I have lived in Texas since Jan 1 2019. I am currently offering bespoke style house sitting services with personalized care for pets in their own homes throughout Conroe and surrounding areas. Yes, I come with an Australian accent at no extra charge—your pets may not understand me, but they’ll definitely feel like they’re on an episode of Bluey. Every family has different routines, so I’m happy to tailor my visits to suit your pets. Whether they need someone to stay throughout the day, hang around at agreed times, or provide overnight companionship, we’ll work together to create the routine that keeps everyone happy and relaxed. Clients know me for being: • Honest and trustworthy • Calm, patient and attentive • Respectful of both pets and property • Reliable and tidy • The sort of person who treats your home as if it were my own When I’m not caring for pets, I also work as a child-minder (“babysitter”), so caring for homes, children, and animals has become my everyday life. Need a little extra help while you’re away? I’m happy to assist with a few basic household tasks by prior arrangement, such as: • Bringing bins in and out • Collecting mail and deliveries • Watering plants • General home security checks Additional household services can also be arranged separately if needed. To maintain a reliable routine, my house-sitting service includes overnight stay to approximately 8am, morning and evening care, generally from sunset and seeing to basic home logistics, watering plants, bringing in the trash can, bringing in any parcels /deliveries dropped at the door. The home serves as my primary base, with a maximum away-window of 4 to 5 hours during the day to attend to my own appointments. As I have young adult sons (university students with hybrid class schedules) living at home and husband who works from home office I can be away from my home for a number of days and can extend beyond a standard week. If I am booked for housesitting I generally suspend other drop in visits to other pets for the duration of the booking to exclusively focus on one household. My goal is simple: for you to come home to happy & calm pets, a tidy house, and complete peace of mind. And if your dog starts barking with an Australian accent when you get back… well, I consider that a job exceptionally well done. I’d love to meet you—and your furry family members! Pet care fits into my weekly routine around my own home duties. I don’t have a “regular” job. My children are grown, 19 and 22 year old university students, who continue to live with their parents, and husband works from home office. My day-to-day routine is fairly flexible at this stage of my life, not yet a grandmother and not yet an empty nester. All my extended family live in Melbourne Australia and I visit them a few weeks at a time twice each year. Pet sitting income goes towards buying flights to visit my parents and paying off student loan debt. Pet sitting, is my new interest, something that I hope to carry through this empty nesting season. In me you will find an attentive pet sitter who treats the family home and pets like my own. I care for pets in their own home with total care, respect and personalized attention. I enjoy having direct contact with indoor dogs and cats that like to stay near humans and are thought of as family members.
“Bailey did a wonderful job visiting my cat. She dropped in to care for my cat when scheduled and sent me a report each time. She also was willing to water some outdoor plants on each of her visits. Thank you for being responsible and giving me peace of mind that my cat was doing okay while I was away.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Security. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
