“Karen was awesome! She took such incredible care of our Dog, and the house looked better than we left it. It’s such a relief to find someone so reliable. We would certainly ask her to come back.”

About: Hi! I’m Gloria! I graduated from Penn foster last year to become a Veterinary Technician and I’m taking my VTNE to become a licensed veterinary technician in October and have over 8 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats in both hospital and clinical settings. I specialize in providing safe, compassionate, and attentive care for pets of all ages, including puppies, seniors, and pets who need extra patience or medical awareness. My background includes assisting with procedures, monitoring recovery, supporting medication routines, and recognizing early signs of stress or illness. Because of my experience, I’m especially confident caring for: • Senior pets • Pets with anxiety or special needs • Pets requiring medications or close observation • Multi-pet households I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet and your home. I focus on keeping your pet’s routine consistent, providing lots of attention and comfort, and keeping you updated with photos and messages so you always feel at ease. My goal is simple — to provide reliable, professional care so your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. What sets me apart, yes I can give medications but I don’t know how to give insulin to diabetic patients. ✔ 8 years veterinary experience ✔ Comfortable with medications & special care ✔ Experienced with senior and anxious pets ✔ Strong attention to safety and behavior changes ✔ Reliable communication with daily updates ✔ Calm, patient, and dependable I’m available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm for dog sitting, dog walking, or house sitting and if have cats I can take care of them as well. I plan to dog or cat sit at the comfort of the owners home but if they need to come to my home for any reason my home is fenced and I do have kennels and extra food and water and I do have two dogs who are super sweet and kind. I also have a cat and he gets along with dogs and cats if you need me to cat sit your cat at my home I can do that as well
“Cali was amazing! Our pets love her. We will 100% be using her as our sitter whenever we go out of town. She communicated through the booking, sent pictures of our babes while we were aware and treated our home with respect. I highly recommend booking with Cali!”

“Stacy took great care of my fur baby! She sent me daily updates and pictures of him, and made sure to spend so much time giving him attention. This was my first time leaving Bentley, and I felt so comfortable leaving him in such great hands! She even took him on extra walks, and I couldn’t be more grateful :)”

“Jada was absolutely excellent! Jada provided outstanding care for our sweet fur baby. Her detailed updates with photos and videos were incredibly reassuring and did 100% justice to her fantastic service. She stayed in our home and made us feel completely at ease. I’ll admit I was nervous after a previous bad cat sitting experience, so I left extensive notes about our pet’s care and routine. Jada wasn’t fazed by this at all and completely understood our concerns about having a stranger in our home. Her professionalism and genuine understanding put us right at ease. We really enjoyed having Jada care for our pet and can’t wait to have her back for our next trip. Highly recommended!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Odalis. We left our three dogs in her care from May 28 through June 4, including a puppy who had never been away from us before. Naturally, I was nervous, but Odalis immediately put my mind at ease. Our puppy looked like he was having the absolute time of his life! It was clear from the updates, photos, and his demeanor when we returned that he was loved, cared for, and completely comfortable. She treated all three of our dogs as if they were her own. As first-time Rover users, I’m sure my instructions weren’t the most organized or efficient, but Odalis handled everything with patience, flexibility, and professionalism. She adapted effortlessly and made the entire process stress-free for our family. Coming home to happy, healthy, relaxed dogs was such a gift. Knowing they were safe, loved, and well cared for allowed us to truly enjoy our time away. Odalis exceeded every expectation we had, and I would trust her with our dogs again without hesitation. If you’re looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and genuinely wonderful with animals, I cannot recommend Odalis highly enough. We are so grateful for the incredible care she provided to our three dogs.”

“Jordyn was awesome! My dogs loved her. She was responsive, attentive, cautious and overall made me feel very comfortable leaving my dogs in her care for my time away. I will be rebooking. Thank you Jordyn!”

“Nina stayed in my home with my two mini schnauzers and I’m so happy she did! She gave my pups excellent care, even giving injections to my diabetic dog and checking his glucose. She sent me many pictures and updates throughout the day, letting me know when he had his injections, etc.. Nina took excellent care of my home as well. It was wonderful to get out of town for a couple of days and feel confident that my dogs were well cared for and loved on. I highly recommend Nina!”

“Viktoria is the best dog friend I have ever hired! She was on time, prepared, friendly and followed all of our instructions ! My dog took to her right away, which is not the norm. Before I left for my appointment my picky little Boston Terrier had found a new bestie, she cozied right up to Viktoria and ignored me ha ha! Perfect ! She sent pictures that were very reassuring 😊. She's THE BEST! Our family has found a new favorite ❤️”

“Brodie took to Karissa from the very first moment. She was very professional and I knew he'd be in good hands. She sent a photo update every day so I could see he was doing well. It was nice to come home to a clean house as I left it and a well-kept-for dog who got to snuggle.”

I have a designated play room for pets and will only crate them upon your requests. I currently work from home part time and have more then enough free time to keep your loved ones entertained and comfy. You can trust your pet will be safe as I have a designated play area away from anything that could harm them or objects they should chew on. If you prefer I come to your house I ensure the pet is safe by following your care guidelines. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home several days a week and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and cuddle time throughout the day. “Kelly did a great job of keeping my pup's routine. She shared plenty of updates and was a great houseguest. I felt comfortable being away, knowing that Kelly had things under control at my house.”

About: I have always grown up with pets. As a kid we had a total of 5 different dogs. All were so spoiled, people joked about coming back as one of our dogs. After leaving home for college, I had cockatiels, guinea pigs and dogs. We currently have 3 of our own. We have had up to five, because I am a sucker for lost and found pups. I can never send them to shelters. Our dogs get bed privileges, treats, walks, and plenty of play time. We have an acre of land, fenced. My girls love on dogs just as much and I believe they spoil our guinea pigore than most. Your pup would be in great hands. I do work full time as a teacher. My girls leave after me and let the dogs out prior to them leaving. They also get fed before we leave. As soon as we come home, the dogs get let out and fed again. After all of us get home we play and take walks as long as weather permits. Dogs are on leashes at all times when walking. We are in the backyard with the pups when they go outside. We let dogs on our beds. We keep paws clean and will bathe your pup if they become dirty from all their fun. Also, we can manage meds if your pup requires them. I am a teacher and work everyday. My children get home before me and always let the dogs out and can walk them, weather permitted. We have a fenced yard. Dogs stay outside to potty and play and come in when ready. We allow dogs on the furniture. We give treats and do lots of snuggling.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Security
Susan was so kind and attentive to our animals needs. It was our first time leaving our animals with someone they didn’t know, and we felt very comfortable leaving them with her! Some of our animals have some unique corks and traits — and it seems they were each well cared for individually. We will definitely be rebooking with her (as long as she’s willing!).

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Security on Rover is $53.28 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,095 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Security. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Security walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Security maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Security choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Security. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
