About: I have been around pets my whole life and have been sitting for friends and family for about 3 years now. Pets are not only adorable but also fun to be around :) I am currently finishing up my last year of university at home. I will be completing a year of student teaching before graduating with a teaching license. I will be 100% available on weekends but my weekday availability will depend on my student teaching schedule. I will follow your pets established routine at home and try to make them feel the most comfortable as possible. I plan on taking care of your pet as if it were my own!

About: I have always been “dog” person. I got my first dog when I was 5 and have had multiple dogs since. I was a dog walker for neighbors and friends during adolescence and my teen years. I will make sure your dog is well taken care of! I am currently of of work for the summer because I work for the school district. I have a lot of extra free time to occupy. I have a huge yard and a crate if needed! I also have an 11 year old who loves dogs and would love to interact with some new, friendly puppers.

About: My love for dogs started when I was a kid—my grandpa taught me how to create gentle bonds with our family’s dogs. I became the one with the dog obsessed-personality and for two years I volunteered at the Animal Shelter in SLO, CA. It was so rewarding and all I ever want to do is make sure these animals always feel loved! Any time someone needs an amateur trainer, they call me! I love dogs, and want to make my passion for them into a career. Moving to Oregon has been a whirlwind, and I’m excited to continue working with the community and their furry friends! I’ve recently moved to Oregon and I’m ready to get back into dog-sitting for the time being! That means my availability is wide open and I can drop in for quick visits or weekend stays. My own experience with dogs is unorthodox to some; it’s their world and I just live in it. I love them inside and following me around and don’t mind them on furniture or in rooms. I have experience with crate training if that is what is preferred, as well as dog walking since we learned tactics in the animal shelter. I also like to expand on dog enrichment to keep their minds engaged as well as their bodies!

About: I have been pet sitting and volunteering since I was 10. I have worked with shy dogs, reactive dogs, overly friendly dogs, puppies, anything you can think of. I also work with cats, even the ones who are not fans of visitors. I’ve gone through vet tech school and I have a lot of experience in training as well. I am very patient and work with your wants and needs. I have experience administering medication and can work with most needs, just ask! :) **I can accept dogs who don’t get along with others, just let me know. My dogs are crate trained and I can keep them seperate.** I am available at almost anytime of any day. I’m currently between jobs and so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to caring for your dog. I’d like to do morning walks before it gets too warm out for your dog and myself. I can check in on your dog throughout the day. I’m available to come take care of your dog in their environment. Whether that’s popping in at home to check in and offer bathroom break or going for a walk in your neighborhood. Offering a sense of familiarity and comfort.

About: I've been an animal lover as long as I can remember. When I was 9 years old, my Dad got me my first Golden Retriever for Valentine's Day 1998. Her name was Star. I wanted a Golden because I fell in love with Shadow from "Homeward Bound". Star was my best friend, and we trained together in Canine Good Citizenry and agility. She could jump through hula hoops, over my arm, and she knew all sorts of tricks. I also love horses and used to spend summers and spring breaks on my cousin's farm in Apopka, Florida where she was the Barn Manager for a gal who rode in the Irish Olympics for the Equestrian Team. I had my own horse when I was younger, but we sadly had to sell her when my mother passed away when I was 9 years old. I've had dogs and cats off and on my entire life, but sadly, I just recently moved to Oregon and do not have any pets of my own right now for a few reasons: The first is that I'm working diligently to get established in Oregon and currently have a Mon-Thursday schedule with the City of Salem that requires me to be away from home for over 10 hours a day. Second, my roommate has a sick and aging cat who is not doing well, and we do not want to stress him out by adding pets to the house right now. Hopefully, my roommate will be able to reconsider when things change, but for now, Bok Choy (and his comfort) is our main priority at my house. Third, I'm hoping to move my Dad out to Oregon within the next 3 years, but for now, he is living alone as a retiree in Georgia, where I grew up. He is very attached to our dog Hank, and even though I'm definitely Hank's favorite person, I couldn't stand the thought of separating those two because I felt like my Dad needs Hank more than I do as Hank is his reason to get up in the morning! I miss Hank more than words can express, but I think we made the right call because Hank does not like being alone, and Dad can accommodate this as he is retired whereas I am in the main career years. I have previous dog sitting experience, but sadly, my identity was hacked, and I lost all of my photos on my Facebook account and lost many of my contacts through my old email address that I lost access to. I have also done amateur dog training and hope to get a professional certification in dog training within the next 12 months. I am happy to house sit during my work week if you only have cats that need tending after office hours. I won't be accepting house sitting for dogs unless there is an understanding of my work schedule and the dog has access to a doggy door and a yard or puppy pads are used during the day. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who can be with your dog during the business day instead of requesting me if you have dogs and need assistance during my work week (Mon-Thurs). This is a Side Hustle for me, but it also the more meaningful of my jobs because I love animals more than anything else in this world, and being around them is good for my mental health. I currently work Monday-Thursday until 4:30PM so it will be difficult for me to provide overnight dog sitting until Thursday after 5 PM unless your dog has access to a doggy door or puppy pads. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who does this full time if you need assistance during business hours Monday-Thursday. When I am at your house, your pet is my priority. If they need exercise or stimulation, we will make that happen. I will almost feel guilty for getting paid for it because it will literally be my pleasure. I will ask you to leave detailed instructions that will make my life easier and expect you to extend trust to me to do my job well. I understand it is difficult and that trust is earned and not freely given, but we need to have a clear discussion before you leave about what your expectations are so I can decide If I can meet those in a way that will not cause me undue anxiety. If you need someone after 5PM Mon-Thursday or anytime on the weekends, I am your sitter!

About: What sets me apart is that I treat pets like family, not just a checklist. I pay close attention to their routines, personalities, comfort levels, and little quirks, whether that means giving a shy pet space, keeping a playful pet engaged, or sending updates so you feel reassured while you’re gone. I am reliable, communicative, and genuinely care about making your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own home 😊 Pet sitting is my full-time work, so my days really are built around caring for animals and showing up for them consistently. I love that I get to spend my time helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their people are away. Since this is my main focus, I’m able to be thoughtful and flexible with each pet’s routine. Some pets want playtime and attention, some need a calm presence and a little patience, and some just want their meals on time and their space respected. I try to meet each pet where they are and keep their day feeling as normal and stress-free as possible. I also have my own cat, Mango, so I know how much the little details matter. I bring that same care into every visit, whether I’m checking in on cats, caring for dogs, sending updates, or just helping your pets and home feel settled while you’re gone I’m very respectful of both your pet and your home. I make sure doors, gates, windows, food, and supplies are handled carefully, and I pay attention to the little things that help prevent stress or accidents. I also like to send updates and photos so you feel comfortable knowing how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible and help them feel secure in their own space. Whether your pet is social, shy, playful, or more independent, I’ll meet them where they are and give them care that feels patient, gentle, and trustworthy.

About: I live in Salem but drive up to Portland several times a week. So If you live in the Portland or Salem area or anywhere in between, I am happy to help you with your pet sitting needs. I grew up with cats, dogs, and chickens. My earliest pet care was at the age of 10 taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats while they were gone. In my adult life, I've had one cat and 4 dogs. My current dog is a Standard Poodle named Percy. He's a huge love! I know your pets are your heart, too. I strive to give your pets my best love and care while you're gone, just like I would want someone to give Percy! I currently work from home, so I can pop in or stay over easily. I would hope that your pet is able to walk with Percy, because he would hate to be left out of the fun. Each pet is unique and will be respected. Grouchy kitty under the bed?? “If I could give 10 stars I would. I’m new to the area and having an anxious dog going through some major changes has been challenging. The first night Mickenzie came over to let him out, Beanie wouldn’t let her touch him and growled the whole time. He wouldn’t even eat a treat that she left in front of him on the couch! Mickenzie was gentle, patient, and communicative through the entire process. The following day she agreed to come out on her own time to meet beanie with me and let him get more acquainted in a safe space with mom. She was kind and understanding even as he barked and growled at her throughout the visit. That night she came back to try again. She took her time, was able to connect, Beanie let her pet him, pick him up, and put a harness on. She was able to let him out to the bathroom and get him back in without any issue other than the time and patience it took from her. Mickenzie is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend her especially for those who are anxious leaving their babies in the care of someone they don’t know. I’m so grateful and will continue to use her as often as possible. About: I've taken care of all kinds of pets. For over twenty years, friends, families, business associates and everybody's been happy and i'm even animal cpr trained I am currently not working. Uh, so I have lots of time to spend with your pets playing with them. I have six acres, and i'm always outside with the dog, so never outside alone. I have a partially fenced yard. I have 6 acres, and I have trails through the property. But I never let the dogs go out by themselves. I always walk them through my property at least four times a day.

About: There’s nothing I love more than animals! I have had and cared for them my entire life and have years of experience walking and feeding dogs, cats, and many other animals. I am reliable and can be flexible when needed. In my free time I volunteer at Greenhill animal shelter and have lots of experience with all types of dogs and their needs. I am currently a college student and have a pretty open schedule. I am always looking for ways to help out and love surrounding myself with animals. I am a very active person and love walking, hiking, trips to the beach, or just laying around keeping them company! I have classes and work but times vary for each.
