About: I provide an in-home pet care experience for families with dogs, cats, and other pets. I started offering services professionally in 2016, through word-of-mouth, while located in Grand Rapids. On a personal level, our family included both dogs and cats while raising our children, and I grew up in a family with dogs and cats as well. I joined Rover to help me connect with pet families upon moving to a new location. My schedule will revolve around your fur babies while I'm caring for them. I am a former dog and cat owner, and I want your pets to feel comfortable and have fun while you are away. I currently work from home (or anywhere) part-time so have the flexibility to prioritize your pets' care. I provide attentive care in your home, allowing your pets to stay in familiar surroundings. I love walking dogs around the neighborhood or to nearby parks for daily exercise. At home I'll provide snuggles and love between feedings. About: As much as we want to bring our pets everywhere with us sometimes, we can’t. But that shouldn’t mean your pet isn’t living their best life possible. I can check in on your pet for some company, pets and play time, treats, meals, water, and a walk. I can also do anything else they may need. My goal is to give your pet a better day and give you a peace of mind knowing your pet is happy. I grew up on a farm with all animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, and horses. I was in a dog club growing up and learned basic dog training skills. Over the years I’ve cared for puppies and senior dogs needing special assistance and medications. I’ve helped care for multiple animals and hope to have the opportunity to care for yours too. I’m working part time in (human) healthcare. As much as I love people, I want to spend more time with animals on my days off. I work every Monday and Wednesday and am busy Saturday most of the time. My schedule changes once in a while but this is the general availability. I am mostly available morning and afternoon until about 3pm. Please ask for any specific times though anytime and I’ll see if it ends up working out. Thanks! 😊 My goal is to make sure your dog is as well cared for as if you were there yourself. I can do what you request. I can feed, water, potty break, medication administration, play time and pets, or go for a walk. I can leave them out or crate when I leave.

About: 10 years dog owner and lifetime cat owner. Very patient and caring with animals. Good at following instructions if special care is needed. Not scared of large dogs. About: I have grown up with animals all of my life. With busy working parents, I was often the one doing most of the animal care. I grew up with 2 large German Shepherds and 2 cats, so I am familiar with handling large breeds and taking care of multiple animals at once. I am a huge animal lover and have always been a natural pet caregiver. The well-being of animals is my top priority. I am currently working full-time; however, I work from home once a week and can be flexible on which day that is. I am also completely available on the weekends. The beautiful Detroit River Walk is right by my apartment, where I would take lovely long walks with pets. Additionally, my favorite pastime is cuddling with furry friends on the couch!

If you are in search of someone with a vast knowledge, has experience with all breeds/sizes, and the highest quality of care, look no further! My knowledge extends from health, diet, exercise, enrichment activities, light grooming, and training for your dog. My experience consists of: 7 years of dog handling and care of all different breeds/sizes Knowing dogs 101/201 on dog behaviorial courses Pack pro dog training courses on dog language and group management Leerburg training courses Previous employment at 3 dog facilities as a trainer, kennel lead, assistant, and 1 facility as a vet tech. Previous assistant for puppy kindergarten classes The Ultimate Canine Communication Master Class TWC-The Cornerstone Collection Seminars to continue education We live in rural Hudsonville on a dirt road. It's quiet with lots of nature. There's a fenced in yard with ease of access from the slider door. We plan to buy the property from family that we currently live with. There's two acres out back we plan to fence in for the pups who love to run. I do this full time so I'm very flexible and attentive towards every individual pup and allows for balanced play. Each dog that I take in is based off the dogs I will have in house at the time. So the capacity varies but typically stays around 3-6 pups on average. Dogs often learn bad behaviors from one another and make up their own rules during play. I take a different approach to this. I'm careful about which personalities I place together to bring out the best in every dog during play sessions and advocate for the ones who are more of a wallflower. *IMPORTANT IMFORMATION* I only take in puppies that are up to date on their first year of vaccines. This includes: Bordetella Distemper Rabies Negative fecal check (I do accept titer tests for +1 year old pups) 🐕‍🦺 TRAINING: Some of the behaviors I work on include: resource guarding, jumping, leash pulling, fear related sensory stimuli, hyperactivity, barking, proper dog play/interactions, chasing fast moving objects/high prey drive...etc. I'm more than willing to go over any more information on what I offer if interested. They are supervised throughout the day. If your pup is in my care, I treat them as they are my own. The care I offer is much more than just watching your fur baby. I pay close attention to behavior, eating habits, coat maintenance, anxiety, health etc. I typically feed in crates, so they can eat without being bothered. I let them rest for up to an hour, (especially large breeds) after each meal as a precautionary measure to avoid bloat. I send updates with pictures and videos when watching your pup, so you can see what they have been up to. I have plenty of crates of all sizes, so no need to bring any from home. If they aren't crate trained at night, that's not a problem. I do allow dogs to free roam at night as long as they aren't destructive and I can trust them on their own. I have vet grade cleaner on hand for toys, water dishes and disinfecting. I take health extremely serious, so I have a vast amount of first aid supplies, cones, pharmaciticals and ID on hand. If you have any other concerns or needs I'm more than happy to address those as well.
