About: My love for dogs led me to pursue my career as a professional dog trainer. I’ve worked with many breeds, of all ages for 4 years. My passion for dogs has also led me to become successful with all my dogs and clients. Being able to give other clients peace of mind while their beloved family member is in my care is most important. Since my schedule varies based on booked clients, this frees up random availability for dog boarding in my home. I’ve been training and boarding dogs in my home for 2 years now, and I’m very happy with what I do. I have clients who regularly book with me because of the safety, love and attention I provide for their dogs. I have a fenced in yard, 6ft high walls with 2 separate dog runs and an open area to run and play. I do have my own dogs in the home, but I never have them interact with any boarding pets. This is for safety reasons. I always play with dogs on their own outside, at the park and go on walks. All dogs are crated at night to ensure the safety for all the other dogs in the home. Potty rotations happen multiple times throughout the day, even with inclement weather. Any feeding directions are followed to a tee. No outside food, treats or snacks will be given unless instructed to. This is also for safety reasons, as unknown allergies can cause allergic reactions. Daily photo updates are also provided to each client along with a daily report.
“Madison and her family were great while caring for my two corgis while I was gone. I know they loved all the extra attention they were getting and I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Second time my Toby has stayed with her, he has special feeding needs and everytime I pick him up he is so happy it's almost like he's been on a vacation himself! Would highly recommend her.”

“Nadine is the best! Our golden retriever puppy, Rosie, was only 11 weeks only when she stayed with Nadine and we knew right away she was in good hands. The picture updates throughout the day were the best part. We already have booked another stay with Nadine in a couple weeks!”

“My husband and I have trust issues when it comes to anyone looking after our boys. After our last incident with a family member led our eldest dog rupturing his intestines. After some research I found Anissa and loved her experience with dogs and animal's it gave us some comfort in knowing if anything happens our boys will be in good hands. Anissa was very cordial and informative. Her home was very welcoming, has a lot of space and a nice backyard. My boys really enjoyed their time and I am thankful for the extra care she took for my eldest dog. I highly recommend as we plan to use her again next time when we are in Bliss.”

About: I treat every dog like family. I don’t just watch pets I bond with them. I’m patient, dependable, and genuinely love caring for animals. I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and happy while their owners are away. Pet care is a natural part of my routine. I plan my days around walks, feeding times, and play sessions. Whether it’s daily check-ins or weekend stays, I make sure every pet gets the attention, love, and care they need—just like they would at home. In my home, pets become part of the family. I give them lots of love, attention, and playtime in a safe, cozy space. I have a huge fenced yard where they can run and play freely. I also stick to their routine to help them feel comfortable and stress free.
“First time on Rover and couldn't be more pleased with Desiree. Desiree is a genuinely kind person and clearly loves dogs. Recently she and her husband Jorge took wonderful care of my Sofia and Carlie for a couple of days. My two "Girls" are not accustomed to boarding and Desiree texted me daily keeping me informed on my Girls eating habits, etc., adding amazing pictures each day. I would highly recommend Desiree!”
“Estuvo todo genial, la atención con mi pequeño Max fue abosolutamente buena, y diariamente me hacía reporte sobre cómo estaba Max y que hacía, de verdad que superó lo que yo pensaba, sin duda volveré a llamarla, gracias Chya”

“Katrina took very good care of my puppy while I went out of town. She sent constant pictures and videos of my dog playing and getting along with her dog and just having a good time. She even taught her a new trick. Will definitely be going back for my pet needs and would definitely recommend.”

“So happy to have tried Rover and found Michelle. Leaving our two mini dachshunds behind was so stressful but her loving home put me at ease. I know my girls received all the nurturing and attention they would have from me. Through photo and video updates I was able to see how happy they were. This was our first time but I’m sure we’ll be back. Thank you, Michelle. Georgia and Panini already miss you.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Teresa
This was the first time we had to leave our dog and choosing to leave him with Ms Isabel instead of with a business who has boarding on their list of services was a great choice. Every picture we got from Isabel showed a happy dog who was roaming in the back yard, chasing birds, playing with toys, or snuggling on Isabel's lap. He learned to be social with the other dogs who were also playing and roaming freely. Overall, we had a great experience with Ms Isabel and will feel good about leaving our dog with her any time we travel. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience boarding Penelope here! From the moment we dropped her off, we felt confident that she was in caring and capable hands. We received updates and could tell she was getting plenty of attention, love, and care throughout her stay. When we picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. We would absolutely trust them with our dog again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving place for their pet!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
