“Samantha is the absolute best. She's the only person outside of my family that I trust to leave Briggs with overnight. He absolutely loves staying with her and has the best time.”

“Really appreciated his last minute availability when we had a sticky situation and needed help asap! He gave good updates and my cats were as happy and healthy as normal when coming home! Definitely will be using again if needed and would recommend!”

About: I grew up wanting to be a vet but decided adopting and playing with all the dogs and animals would be better. I love all animals and have 2 rescue dogs of my own. They gets along with other dogs! I have a flexible schedule and would love to help keep your pet company, take them for a walk or come let them out during your busy day. I am looking forward to meeting your pet and treating them with as much love and attention as if they were my own. Please reach out if you have any questions. I am currently working on certifications and am available any time during the day and week to help with your pets and can provide car that fits your needs. I can make myself available for their needs. I have 2 rescue dogs myself and understand that some dogs are more timid than others. I know the most important thing is gaining your pet's trust.
“Such a blessing to have come across Leo's profile. I couldn't be happier to have used his services. Our dogs trusted in him right away, and they enjoyed having his and his wife's undivided attention! Thank you so very much for your flexibility and constant updates. The pictures and videos were so appreciated. You truly put my mind and heart at ease. Racer and Rex know good people and will definitely be visiting again soon. From the bottom of my heart thank you for being so amazing and welcoming!”

“Erika and family always show so much love to our dogs. We appreciate her being flexible with drop offs and pick up. Whenever we are out of town she is our go-to. Highly recommend!”

About: I have over 15 years of dog care experience with dogs of all ages including elderly, diabetic and visually impaired animals. I make sure that your furry family member gets all the love and attention while they're in our care. I joined Rover after our dog Asiri developed cataracts from his diabetes and I will be using this income to pay for his surgery. I currently work from home so going on frequent potty breaks and walks are no problem. I will make sure they always get exercise and lots of playtime 😄 We have a yard and two dogs that are up to date on all vaccines and love meeting and playing with new friends. I will send photos everyday during your pets stay and am easily accessible 24/7
“Katrina took very good care of my puppy while I went out of town. She sent constant pictures and videos of my dog playing and getting along with her dog and just having a good time. She even taught her a new trick. Will definitely be going back for my pet needs and would definitely recommend.”

“Michelle was great! I’m so grateful that she agree to take my dog as a last minute boarding. She was really nice and patient with my dog. She took him to walks every day. Thank you Michelle!”

“Yessica was very professional and attentive to our dogs needs she sent picture's and provided status on how the doggies where doing. Highly recommend 5 star sitter for sure. Thanks Yessica”

“I travel a lot and because of that I am constantly having to board my two dogs. But it’s difficult to do because you can’t just throw your pets anywhere. Also, due to the nature of my frequent absences, I don’t ALWAYS get to come back (or leave) exactly when I say I am. Nadine is perfect! She absolutely loves my dogs and actually enjoys watching them and is sad when they leave. She might like them more than I do, and because of that, I know they are getting the type of quality care I expect. She has a house larger than mine and a fenced backed yard in which the dogs can run around and play. And play they do! They always come back happy, and tired lol. Nadine also is super accommodating. Not only have I brought my dogs to her house, but more often than not SHE brings the dogs to me (and even has picked them up before). And she is very reasonable and works well with me based off my availability and time. As mentioned earlier, I’m never on time on the time / day agreed upon. But that doesn’t phase Nadine at all. She’s a champ! Her prices you’ll find to be reasonable and comparable to other caregivers on Rover, and other establishments like the often booked solid Pet Barracks. I’ve used her services 3 times, and already have planned for 2 more. One of which being upwards of 3 weeks. And I’m totally comfortable with that. If you leave your dogs with Nadine, you will have nothing (pet wise) to worry about, at all.”

“Karen took excellent care of our babies and kept in touch sending pictures and videos. I felt much at ease while I was away, knowing they were well taken care of. I'd gladly rebook with her and strongly recommend her.”

“Our doggo always has a great time when staying at Megan’s home! Megan is great at communicating and letting us know how Sounder is doing. We love leaving our dog with her and know he will receive the best care! 10/10 recommend”

About: As a cat mom, I know what pet parents need whenever our furbabies are away. I am here to give you piece of mind, clear communication, and frequent updates on your pets. I have years of experience caring for pets from family, friends, and neighbors. I am home full time and will provide all the attention I can to your fur babies. I am home full time due to being a contract worker. I am completely available to care for your pets all day and even overnight. Weekends are no issue, and are highly welcomed! I have two cats at home that can easily be separated from your pets to provide a more comfortable experience. There is no patio, as I reside at an apartment complex, however I am more than happy to accommodate potty breaks and daily walks.
“Jennifer was amazing. She took great care of my girl with genuine kindness and attention. Communication was smooth, she was patient, and you can tell she truly cares about what she does. It’s rare to find someone this dedicated and thoughtful. Highly recommended.”

“Anissa was great and very easy to work with. This was the first time leaving Ollie with someone, yet it was a wonderful first experience and we will definitely use Anissa again. The Communication was great, and we were sent daily pictures. We could tell Ollie enjoyed his stay with her.”

About: First thing is that I LOVE animals. Especially dogs. I am beyond caring and compassionate. I have been around dogs since I remember (big or small I'm not scared of them!). Dogs just love me. Another thing is I treat dogs like family. It is very important to keep in mind even though they don't talk, they have their own abilities to communicate with people. They are so smart and lovable. In my opinion if a person wants to work with dogs of all kind, it doesn't matter how or how much your experiences are you just have to love them and have a good heart. Just because they are not human it doesn't mean they don't feel or think, of course they have feelings they know who loves them and who doesn't! I have 40+ years of experience caring for dogs and you will not be disappointed!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Teresa
We had a wonderful experience boarding Penelope here! From the moment we dropped her off, we felt confident that she was in caring and capable hands. We received updates and could tell she was getting plenty of attention, love, and care throughout her stay. When we picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. We would absolutely trust them with our dog again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving place for their pet!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
