“Ilyana was very helpful, accommodating, and great when it came to scheduling, questions we had, booking, and taking care of our THREE dogs during a holiday. She kept us updated with texts and photos daily. She also went above and beyond with one of our dogs who is very skiddish. Would definitely recommend Ilyana!”

“Kiara didn’t want to eat and they provided her with treats and other food. I appreciate the way they look after her while she was adjusting to a new place. I would have appreciate it more pictures of her playing or running but I’m overall thankful.”

“Mia had a great weekend with Yvette. I can tell she had fun and got plenty of exercise. I was updated with pictures. Will definitely book again! Went above and beyond 😊”

“Jennifer was amazing. She took great care of my girl with genuine kindness and attention. Communication was smooth, she was patient, and you can tell she truly cares about what she does. It’s rare to find someone this dedicated and thoughtful. Highly recommended.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I’m very comfortable around them and I find them to be very comfortable around me. From gentle giants to the tiniest little yappers, I’ve loved and cared for them all and never met a dog I disliked. I’m not a professional trainer but I’ve learned enough competencies in dog training techniques throughout my life to confidently be able to put them into practice with my own animals so my home feels as safe and stress-free as possible in my day to day life and routines. I plan to do this as full time as I can. Figured I’d jump all-in into something that will provide an income for something fulfilling that I already enthusiastically do every day with my own four furry flatmates. So I’m available almost any time, day or night with few exceptions. I have a fenced yard, and two large, oafish boys (Morty & Melvin) that love to play in the back yard and sleep splayed-out, belly-up on the couch. It’s a chill environment here. I also have two, very lazy indoor cats who’s favorite toys include pipe cleaners and every loaf of bread I bring home for myself. Jones thinks he’s a dog, and as a result, pretty much tries to get along with everybody, especially human visitors. Luna is reclusive, but non-confrontational. I feed them twice a day in appropriately-measured amounts, and always have clean water available as well as treats and toys. I’m also a retired professional chef and sometimes use those skills to make homemade pet food for some much anticipated variety in my fur family’s diets. We also don’t mind sharing!
“Madison and her family were great while caring for my two corgis while I was gone. I know they loved all the extra attention they were getting and I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Flora (and Kobe ?) took great care of Wyatt while I was gone. She sent lots of updates and welcomed my pup into her home like he was part of the family. Thanks for taking such great care of my baby ?”

“Natalie is great. We’ve used her a couple of times and would highly recommend her. Our dogs get a lot of attention and we get daily updates on how they’re doing.”

About: I grew up wanting to be a vet but decided adopting and playing with all the dogs and animals would be better. I love all animals and have 2 rescue dogs of my own. They gets along with other dogs! I have a flexible schedule and would love to help keep your pet company, take them for a walk or come let them out during your busy day. I am looking forward to meeting your pet and treating them with as much love and attention as if they were my own. Please reach out if you have any questions. I am currently working on certifications and am available any time during the day and week to help with your pets and can provide car that fits your needs. I can make myself available for their needs. I have 2 rescue dogs myself and understand that some dogs are more timid than others. I know the most important thing is gaining your pet's trust.
“I really felt my Bella was safe with Kathryn and appreciated her updates and fast responses to my inquiries. I will definitely use Kathryn again when I return to visit El Paso in the future.”

“Not sure where to begin! Stephanie is caring, compassionate and exceeded all expectations for a loving and dedicated caretaker for our Maggi. It was our first time leaving her with someone that was not family. Upon interviewing her before our travels, we immediately felt assured we had made the right choice. We were so fortunate that Stephanie was available for our travel time, and extremely grateful for the level of care she provided to our Maggi. She kept us informed during our entire trip and provided updates and pictures. When we picked her up, she was happy, clean and if I’m being completely honest, spent most of that day sad... we are convinced she genuinely missed being around her! If you are reading reviews and considering Stephanie for your pet caretaker, your search should stop here. Look no further, Stephanie’s level of professionalism will surely exceed your expectations as well!”

“Our baby had so much fun staying with Juan. He sent lots of pictures and videos and was very quick to respond and communicate. We will definitely reach out to him again for our next vacation 😇”

Just got home from leaving our Golden Nova with Vanessa for the first time. Looks like she a great time as she slept the whole way home and went straight to sleep when we got home. Vanessa made sure to constantly send us pictures and updates, which we are super grateful for. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Vanessa!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
