“Serenity is amazing! She kept me informed of how my pup acclimated to his first stay with her and her family. They showed my pup so much care & attention...that gave me so much peace of mind. Thank you, Serenity!”

“Mia had a great weekend with Yvette. I can tell she had fun and got plenty of exercise. I was updated with pictures. Will definitely book again! Went above and beyond 😊”

“Jada was super sweet and kind. She treated my babies like her own and she was super reachable, always answering right away my text messages. She also sent pictures and videos updating me every day about how are they doing. She was also very approachable about changes in the booking and always found a way to make my puppies more comfortable. She was everything we needed and a little more. Very respectful and helpful. Definitely booking with her again if needed. She’s amazing”

“Very happy with my experience leaving my dog with her. Ilyana was very understanding of certain things my dog was not used to and did not like and was giving him his space, she kept me updated on every detail regarding him and sent me pictures every so often. She was very quick at responding since the moment I contacted her and I knew my dog was in good hands since the moment I met her. Will definitely contact her again when needing someone to look after my dog!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better Dog Mom for my Dante while I was away on vacation for 8 days. Her personality and the home environment my boy Dante was in felt like I was dropping off my boy at Auntie’s place. I got a video or picture at least 2 times a day! Dante had the opportunity to interact with other good pups and play which I appreciate bc as an 8 month old Doodle he has lots of energy and he got lots of play time. Highly recommend Isabella”

“Madison and her family were great while caring for my two corgis while I was gone. I know they loved all the extra attention they were getting and I will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I have taken care of stray cats and dogs since I was young since I wasn't allowed to have pets of my own. Then later when I got older, I had hamsters, bunnies, dogs, and cats and I learned how to take care of them properly. I have saved cats from tough situations and given them a chance to live a good life since I believe that all animals deserve to be loved and cared for. I am a very patient, caring, and loving person I love to be around animals. I have some very basic veterinary experience and I am always happy to help animals and give them the care they need. I have experience as a veterinary assistant and I am working towards a degree in animal science at Nmsu. My main goal is to be a veterinarian because I love animals and want to help them in any way possible. I have open availability, therefore I can take care of your pets anytime (Monday - Sunday) that is needed through the hours of 6 am - 7 pm! In my home: I meticulously pet-proof the surroundings, removing any potential hazards and ensuring secure enclosures. In the client's home: I conduct a thorough inspection to identify and address any safety concerns, such as securing loose wires or toxic substances. In my home: I create a welcoming atmosphere where pets feel comfortable and secure, offering plenty of affection and attention. In the client's home: I spend time getting acquainted with the pets, following their routines, and respecting their boundaries to build trust gradually. In my home: I provide cozy resting areas, engaging toys, and regular exercise to keep pets happy and entertained. In the client's home: I strive to replicate the familiar surroundings and routines to minimize stress for the pets, maintaining consistency in feeding, playtime, and exercise.
“Alex and Chris were fantastic! Lexi had an incredible time and got along well with their dogs. Alex kept me updated on Lexi with pictures/videos and was very communicative. I highly recommend them! Thank you so much for taking care of my baby.”

“This is the 2nd time Oscar takes care of our pets and it has been great! Great communication and flexibility. We are really happy with his work and will be booking again with him in the future.”

“Jasmine and her family were awesome and went above and beyond to give my dog an amazing place to stay for the weekend. Definitely hope to board with them again and can’t recommend them enough!”
“Yari was awesome! Her and her family did a really good job with Obi:-). She kept us updated and sent pictures! I really appreciate Yari taking him last minute because our regular stitter was on vacation. I will definitely use her again!”

“Initially, I was apprehensive about entrusting my dog to a dog sitter. Traditionally, I have entrusted my dog companion to the care of a family member during my vacations. However, I resolved to take a leap of faith and observe the well-being of my dog. Natalie proved to be an exceptional caregiver, ensuring that my dog felt at home and embraced as a member of her family. I was particularly impressed by her prompt response and the seamless nature of the process. I thoroughly enjoyed the photographs and updates she provided regarding my dog progress. Natalie’s exceptional care and attention to detail are truly commendable.”

“Hello! Karen was amazing and my dogs loved staying with her and her doggies! She was extremely kind and sent me messages and photos during the stay even though it was only for one night! We loved that! Thank u Karen. Looking forward to the next stay at your home for our fur babies!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I’m very comfortable around them and I find them to be very comfortable around me. From gentle giants to the tiniest little yappers, I’ve loved and cared for them all and never met a dog I disliked. I’m not a professional trainer but I’ve learned enough competencies in dog training techniques throughout my life to confidently be able to put them into practice with my own animals so my home feels as safe and stress-free as possible in my day to day life and routines. I plan to do this as full time as I can. Figured I’d jump all-in into something that will provide an income for something fulfilling that I already enthusiastically do every day with my own four furry flatmates. So I’m available almost any time, day or night with few exceptions. I have a fenced yard, and two large, oafish boys (Morty & Melvin) that love to play in the back yard and sleep splayed-out, belly-up on the couch. It’s a chill environment here. I also have two, very lazy indoor cats who’s favorite toys include pipe cleaners and every loaf of bread I bring home for myself. Jones thinks he’s a dog, and as a result, pretty much tries to get along with everybody, especially human visitors. Luna is reclusive, but non-confrontational. I feed them twice a day in appropriately-measured amounts, and always have clean water available as well as treats and toys. I’m also a retired professional chef and sometimes use those skills to make homemade pet food for some much anticipated variety in my fur family’s diets. We also don’t mind sharing!

“I needed cat boarding for a last minute work trip and Arlette came through. Location was very convenient to the airport. She was very flexible on drop off and pick up times. I have a very shy kitty and she was able to have her own space. Thanks so much!”

“Outstanding Dog Sitter – Highly Recommend! We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter! From the very beginning, she was incredibly positive and easy to communicate with. She made the entire process stress-free and reassuring. Throughout her time with our fur babies, she kept us updated with multiple messages and the cutest photos, which truly put our minds at ease. Our Belgian Malinois is high-energy and needs a lot of stimulation, and she handled her like a pro! She took her to the park, played fetch, and made sure she got the exercise she needed. Our Shih Tzu, on the other hand, loves cuddles—and he definitely got plenty of them! It was heartwarming to see pictures of them snuggled up and relaxed. She was patient, caring, and truly treated our pets like her own. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We will definitely be booking her again! Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone reliable, loving, and attentive for their pets!”

“Our baby had so much fun staying with Juan. He sent lots of pictures and videos and was very quick to respond and communicate. We will definitely reach out to him again for our next vacation 😇”

“Very grateful to have an amazing boarder for my dog. Was able to have him boarded as the only pet in the home, which was a necessity and super plus due to him not being friendly with other pets. Pics, texts, and updates were sent to us every day. He was given playtime & affection. She had her own extra treats and dog toys for him. 😊 Would definitely be a repeat client.”

About: I've been around pets since I was born. I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, and pigs. As an adult, I have owned dogs, cats, ferrets, a rabbit, birds, a hedgehog, along with various lizards and fish. I am very comfortable around all dogs, large and small. I currently have one medium sized dog in the house, along with two, sometimes three, cats. I have kept elderly dogs through their senior years and am experienced with proper medication disbursement. As a former military spouse of 21 years, I would be glad to host dogs for an extended period, including military deployments, and take care of things such as routine grooming and vet visits as needed. Discounts for extended stays are available. I run my Rover business alongside my adult son, Reuben. We both work remotely and one of us is home every day of the week. There will be times when we are out of the house taking care of responsibilities, but your pets will always have adequate supervision and play time out of the outdoor and/or indoor kennels. The timing of the play time may vary depending on the day. My backyard is fully enclosed and there is a lock on the side gates for safety. During the day, Rover dogs will be outdoors in my newly refurbished kennels. Each outdoor kennel has enough space for dogs of any size to feel comfortable. I can host two families of dogs at once, up to three dogs from one family in an outdoor kennel. There is adequate shade in each kennel, as well as water, a doghouse and cot, and shelter from the elements. Rover parents are encouraged to bring along their pets' favorite toys, stuffed animals, and blankets for their comfort. Rover dogs will get at least two play times outside of their outdoor kennels per day in the large, fully enclosed backyard. Rover dogs will be kept separate from each other, as well as my personally owned dog, at all times, unless socialization is requested and agreed upon by Rover parents. Details of socialization will be discussed on an individual basis. At night, Rover dogs can either sleep comfortably in their outdoor kennels, or, if preferred, indoors in an indoor kennel, proved by Rover parents. Again, Rover parents are encouraged to bring along their pets' favorite toys, stuffed animals, and blankets for their comfort.
“Camille and her wife are wonderful wonderful people! They took such good care of our little Tommy! He was clearly spoiled just like at home. She did an amazing job of sending us regular updates and pictures. I am 100% sure I have found the very best doggie sitter on here! Thank you again for taking such great care of him in your home for 10 days. We enjoyed our vacation without having to worry about our puppers! Highly highly recommended!”

Absolutely stellar! She went above and beyond. We had a unique situation and she handled it better than I could have asked for. Provided plenty of updates through the entire duration and tons of pictures! Do not hesitate to book with her. I have not worked with anyone that even comes close to the type of service she provided. I am a very pleased owner and would trust my pups with her any day!

Maria and her family were extremely welcoming to Ms. Bella and cared for her like she was part of their family! Maria sent plenty of pictures and updates to make sure I knew about their adventures! Maria and her family did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone needing a dog sitter!

Morgan is just the BEST! We had never left our dogs (two pugs) in the care of a sitter outside our home before, so this was new to us! Morgan was so kind and reassuring making it easy for us to take a little trip. Her enthusiasm and prompt, friendly correspondence provided us with trust in her desire and ability to care for our pups. When we picked our puggies up, they were happy, but not that excited to see us! I think they enjoyed their little vacation as much as we did! Highly recommend Morgan! We will definitely use her services again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
