“Natasha is awesome! Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Charlie. He came home so relaxed and happy. She took Charlie for walking also. She has such a kind, gentle way with dogs, and her communication was fantastic—frequent photos, updates and super prompt responses the whole time. We will absolutely look to her for future pet care and will gladly recommend her to everyone we know!”

“Sarah was absolutely wonderful with my 7-month-old large-breed puppy, Buck! She watched him for four days and took such great care of him. She followed all of my instructions carefully, sent frequent photo updates that gave me so much peace of mind, and was thoughtful and communicative throughout his stay. Buck came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious Sarah genuinely loves dogs and takes the time to make sure they’re comfortable and cared for as if they were her own. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring Rover sitter!”

“Robin was fantastic!!! When we used other kennels in the past and our dogs always came home “shell shocked” and were skittish for weeks. We left them with Robin from Thursday to Sunday and they were happy running and playing … socializing!!! Robin sent pics daily. We will definitely bring our dogs back to Robin.”

“Paula took such good care of my good boys. They made new friends and had so much fun. Great attention and care. Love the property. Plenty of space for exploration and exercise.”

“Katina M. and crew are one of the nices, kindest, and most professional pet sitters and boarders I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I will be recommending her service to everyone I know and all over social media. You will have a hard time finding anyone more caring and considerate of your pets and you than Katina. Thank you so much and I know Gizmo will miss being over there.”

“Stephen and his family took such good care of Bentley while I moved. I received frequent updates and pictures. He took Bentley for long walks and gave him lots of love! I would highly recommend Stephen!”

“Sheri was awesome with our dog Otis. She was patient and played with him sent tons of pictures of him to ease our minds since it was his first time away. I’m so grateful for the care and affection that was shown to our fur baby. Definitely will reach out if we ever need help again. Thank you so very much.”

“Damacia was fantastic! Our Goldendoodle puppy loved playing with her dogs and was very well-cared for. She came home clean, happy and tired! We’d definitely recommend and will use Damacia in the future. We are so grateful to have found her!”

About: Hi we are Don and Bobbi! We both have grown up around dogs our entire lives and have always been passionate about caring for animals. Between our families, we’ve had many dogs and cats over the years, giving us experience with pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Today, we have two dogs and a cat of our own and understand the importance of providing pets with love, attention, exercise, and a safe environment. We’ve also pet sat for friends and family and have enjoyed getting to know and care for their pets as if they were our own. We decided to join Rover because we love spending time with animals and thought it would be a fun way to help other pet owners feel confident that their pets are receiving excellent care while they’re away. We understand our profile is new with no reviews but we promise to provide exceptional care and hope to show that through reviews as we get settled on this app! Bobbi works from home Monday-Friday and Don works from home Monday and Friday. Someone will always be home to care for your animals! Our flexible schedules allow pet care to be a priority. We have a massive yard for the dogs to run around and are constantly going on leashed walks near our house. Our house is their house and we are happy to play with your pup as much as they need!
“Heather & her family were a great match for Mía. From the Meet & Greet, to drop off, asking how to best care for her, and pick up…they were responsive, informative, and caring. Thank you!”

“Our little guy had a hard time being in a strange place with a strange person so we had to cut his visit short, but Cyndi is willing to work with us to see if we can slowly get him used to it. Much appreciated.”

“Amy provided exceptional care of my Bernedoodle, Iris, and kept me fully aware of how she was doing through text messages and photos. This was the first time my dog had ever been away from our family, so she had a bit of trouble acclimating to other dogs and a different environment, but Amy went above and beyond to care for her, and I so appreciated it! Thank you!”

“Second time our pups have stayed with Natalie. Very happy with the care she gives our big dogs. She is very friendly, always responds quickly to messages, and is prepared for a quick and easy drop off/pick up. Thank y'all so much!”

“Jeanette and her family were absolutely wonderful with my pup. I needed a last-minute sitter, and she was so kind and accommodating. I was very nervous about leaving Bailey somewhere other than with family, but Jeanette immediately put me at ease. She kept me updated with plenty of photos and check-ins, which I truly appreciated. Bailey had an amazing time and was happy, tired, and clearly well loved when I picked her up. I would highly recommend Jeanette and her family, they truly made Bailey feel right at home.”

“Denise was wonderful and a great communicator. She watched both of our pups for a week and was very accommodating when we asked to extend a night. She sen pictures and updates throughout the week and both dogs came home happy. I hope to use Denise again.”

“We love Elizabeth, who takes such good care of our dog. Lots of photos and updates from Elizabeth while we are away, and we can see that our pup is having lots of fun and is very happy.”

“I can’t recommend Kelsi enough! She took amazing care of my Great Dane puppy, Wax, over the weekend. From the moment I dropped him off, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in great hands. My favorite part of the experience was all the pictures Kelsi sent—seeing Wax play and enjoy himself made me feel so relieved while I was away. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. Kelsi truly went above and beyond, and I’ll absolutely trust her with Wax again. Five stars all the way!”

“We just moved to the area and Pamela and Paul watched our anxious dog Harley for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. Harley did not show any of her typical anxiety cues and she had a great time at their home and with their sweet dog Marlowe. I highly recommend them as sitters and we look forward to more stays in the future.”

“It's a wonderful thing when you can go on a trip, when having to leave your companion in the care of someone else, and have no worries as to how she's being cared for. Thank you guys : )”

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
