About: Growing up I’ve always had dogs in my family. However now that I’m an out-of-state student, I’ve been feeling homesick and it especially doesn’t help that I’m not around any dog love anymore. I heard about Rover through a friend and felt that this would help me with what I’ve been feeling. About: Hi! I've had my cat Olive for 11 years and my dog Bel for 3 years. I have also taken care of close to 70 foster animals mostly kittens, with a few medical fosters, and behavioral issues along the way. I have taken courses on behavioral training for dogs as my own dog is reactive towards dogs, so I am very familiar with dog reactivity. I currently run a small 1 man business from my home and have control over my schedule to provide care to other animals regularly. I also foster other animals from time to time. My own dog is reactive and high energy and needs 3 walks a day usually with a lot of play. My cat is a large maincoon that requires a strict diet and care regimen to keep her pre-diabetes in check.

About: I have experience taking care of boarding dogs and cats at an animal hospital. I worked for them for a little over a year and have gotten lots of experience with dogs and cats. I used to raise puppies and train them how to sit and have manners for about two years with my parent. I have dog sitting experience and house sitting experience. Thank you :) I am currently going to school at the UofA full time during the weekdays (my class schedule is listed below keep reading) and would be available most days to come and play with the animals for 30 minutes to an hour in the afternoons and overnight sitting. And on weekends I would be free to play with and walk the animals as needed. Class schedule: Mon 1pm-2pm Tue 9:30am-1pm then 3pm-5pm Wed 9am-2pm then 4pm-5pm Thur 9:30am-4pm Fri 1pm-2pm I do also have a job at the animal shelter for part time. That work schedule will vary but will be no more the 4-6 hours a day. Likely to be on the weekends to avoid conflict with school :) For my personal home, I will not be able to board any pets. Although I am very safe and responsible. My person pet uses a crate just for her safety when I am gone. I am good with crate training as needed for your pets as well. I make sure I clean up after every day and leave the house as clean as I can before you arrive back home to your happy animals!

About: I have had cats in my home my entire life, as well as rabbits, tortoises, bearded dragons, parrots, and more. I do my due diligence to research into animal care on a regular basis, and I am well-informed on different animal behaviours. In my late teens, I worked in a couple pet stores; This both helped provide me with a wider background on animal care, but also helped to develop my research skills and ethical decision-making in pet care. I am a full-time online student, so I am just about always home and engaged with my own pets. I will always treat your pet(s) as if they were my own, and provide plenty them with plenty of love! Then, I do the basic tasks (food, water, litter, etc.), and after that I like to sit close by and engage with the pet if they'll allow. I ensure safety by double checking windows, locks, doors, and taking head counts of the pets.
