About: Hi! I’m Diana, a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for pets of all sizes. My husband and I have two dogs, Dolly (a Great Pyrenees) and Cash (a Golden Retriever), who are cherished members of our family. We live on a large property with a fenced backyard, giving dogs plenty of space to play and explore. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide lots of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and exercise throughout the day. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets, and I will care for them like they’re my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet your furry family members and give them a safe, happy, and loving place to stay Since I work from home, I’m able to provide lots of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and exercise throughout the day. As long as it’s not 100 degrees outside, I love to take my dogs on walks throughout the day My husband and I have two dogs, Dolly (a Great Pyrenees) and Cash (a Golden Retriever), who are cherished members of our family. About: I have owned cats and dogs all of my life and can't imagine my home without them. Animals give us unconditional love, and they deserve the same in return. I have given IV treatments to ailing cats with kidney damage and experience with dispersing meds/pills by mouth. I will treat all your loved ones with the same care that I provide my own. I am retired; I work independently from home and have a lot of free time. I am looking for some fur babies to take care of so their guardians can feel comfortable leaving them. I will treat all dogs and cats like my own and I take their care very serious. If that means sending daily videos or pictures to their guardians to put them at ease, I am happy to do just that. I am happy to feed, water and clean pet areas as part of my home visits. I will scoop litter boxes as well. I take their health seriously and fresh water/food is a very important part of staying healthy. I find no ask unreasonable and will check in with pet parents as often as requested.

About: I go by He/him and It/its! I've been looking after dogs as soon as I turned 8. I have experience with high-energy animals, as I take care of two at the moment. I have experience administering medication, bathing, walking and tending to the needs of those with skin issues. I am fully available any day of the week, including the weekend, starting 10 AM. However, I am not open on Thursdays until after 5 PM. I do not take requests for boarding at the moment due to the unpredictable nature of my own animals. Though I am open to walking, visits and overnight stays.

About: I have taken care of all types of animals ranging from dogs to chickens, as well as birds and horses, and have grown up with cats all my life. The dog breeds I have cared for in my work experience have been pitbulls, standard poodles, lab/hound mixes, golden retrievers, chow mixes, chihuahuas, etc. I am currently taking a year off from working as a full-time elementary teacher, so my availability has become much more flexible in regards to accommodating future clients' schedules. As a courtesy, however, a 1 week in advance notice is always preferred, so that way I may plan accordingly!😁 I would prefer to fur-babysit at my client's home just because it is where they are most familiar, and I want them to be comfortable. I love to capture my time spent with them and send you plenty of photos to ensure they are in the best care possible!

About: For as long as I can remember, there has always been animals in my house, but the last 13 years are where my real growth has happened for me as a pet parent and carer. In my own home, there’s always been a variety from dogs to hedgehogs to cats to lizards. I have often found myself as a haven for wayward creatures in need of respite. I have experience caring for, raising, and training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs. I work full time as a teacher but I am often around on the weekends and evenings and am happy and able to make pets a part of my routine! Any space I am in is always treated with the upmost respect— I don’t touch what isn’t mine, I don’t touch what I don’t need to. Integrity and honesty are paramount. If there is an issue with anything, I of course will be upfront about it, as that is what I would expect and want from anyone in my home. Trusting me to come into your home is a big deal, and I would never want to jeopardize your peace of mind.

About: As a proud dog dad and lifelong animal lover, caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. Friends and family regularly trust me to care for their fur babies while they’re away, and I treat every pet like one of my own. I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day, including check-ins, walks, playtime, treats, feeding, and plenty of companionship to help your pet feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where pets can relax, play, and feel at home. I also have a fenced backyard with space for pets to run around, explore, and enjoy supervised outdoor time. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are always my top priorities. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the day. I’m able to provide morning, afternoon, and evening check-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship to make sure pets stay comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I also make time for regular exercise, potty breaks, and one-on-one attention so every pet gets the care they deserve. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel relaxed and secure while away from home. I make sure pets are always supervised during playtime and outdoor activities, and I keep my home pet-friendly and free of hazards. I also follow each owner’s care instructions closely, including feeding routines, medications, exercise needs, and any special precautions. My goal is to create a calm and loving atmosphere where every pet feels safe, cared for, and treated like family.

About: I care very much for the well being of animals and want to make sure that the pets waiting for their owners feel safe with me. After work is usually when I will be able to, my work schedule is pretty random so I would work with the pet owners depending on how long they need me for. My backyard is nice and big enough to run around, but not secure enough for me to leave the pet alone back there. My front yard is nice too but needs the front gate fixed.

Ansley was so helpful walking my fur baby while I was out of town. She updated me daily with breaks and pics, which made leaving my pup behind so much easier for me and for him. She even alerted me to a potential issue with my dog so I could look into it quickly. Would definitely recommend her service to anyone.

About: I began house sitting in high school for close family friends and neighbors. The first family who trusted me had quite the crew — two birds, a turtle, two senior cats, a dog, and even a couple of fish. Caring for their pets, especially the cats, taught me early on how important consistency and attention to routines can be. Since then, I’ve cared for and walked many dogs while babysitting and nannying, both for short visits and overnight stays. I understand the level of detail it takes to help pets feel comfortable and to give owners peace of mind while they’re away. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs. My own dog tore his ACL while I was in college, and for months I carried him up and down stairs while managing his recovery. He also had allergies that required daily medicated baths, a special diet, and multiple medications. He was clever enough to try to outsmart me when it came to pills, which taught me patience, creativity, and a sense of humor when caring for animals. I truly believe every pet has a unique personality. I approach pet care with attentiveness, patience, and playfulness so animals feel safe, understood, and well cared for. My goal is always happy pets and complete peace of mind for their owners. I work a full-time schedule during the week, but I’m happy to provide care before and after work and occasionally in the evenings depending on timing and location. With advance notice, I’m also happy to adjust my weekend schedule to fit your pet’s routine. I do my best to accommodate requests whenever possible. I treat my pets as family, and I have witnessed my family and friends care for pets as if they are a child. On days I couldn’t bring my dog along, I trusted the people watching him to do the same, and maybe even add a little extra love for missing his family.

As of July 2026, there are 905 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Sampson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Sampson. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Sampson.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sampson. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
