About: I worked as a kennel technician at a boarding/daycare facility for over a year so I have seen firsthand how stressful those environments can be despite how social you think your dog might be with others. Dogs have always been one of my special interests since I was very little, I have plenty of experience taking care of senior dogs and puppies, and I am comfortable taking care of any breed/temperament. I have no problem if you spam me for pictures of your pup and I love sending constant updates and pics! I know how stressful it can be not to have your dog in your own care so no request is too small. I am a full-time college student studying environment and zoology, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! I have full class schedule throughout the week and it changes per semester, don’t let that stop you from reaching out! I will take a look at any request and see if I can make them work. The more specific you are the better. If I have even the tiniest question I will not hesitate to reach out, I want your dog to be as close to there typical environment/schedule as possible so they are comfortable. Saftey is the big priority for me when caring for your pup, your dog will never be put in an unsafe situation by me. I am comfortable with emergency aid if necessary and I have transportation if your dog needs to be taken to a veterinarian.
About: Hi! My name is Kasey, and I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and caring for them. I have years of hands-on experience with pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I currently care for several of my own animals as well, so I’m very used to different routines, energy levels, and individual needs. I also have veterinary/animal care experience, which has helped me become comfortable handling pets calmly and safely, including giving medications if needed. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I always do my best to make both pets and owners feel comfortable, supported, and at ease. Whether your pet is playful, shy, energetic, anxious, or just needs a little extra patience and love, I’ll always treat them like they’re my own. I also love sending updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and welcoming experience for every pet I care for ❤️ Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine since caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I currently work, and with school starting soon, I’ll mainly be available mornings, afternoons, and flexible hours when possible. I do my best to keep my schedule organized so I can give every pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. Since I already care for several pets of my own, I’m very used to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, cleaning, medications, and making sure animals feel safe and comfortable throughout the day. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so pet care never feels like a chore to me Creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for pets is very important to me. I always try to make animals feel comfortable and cared for, whether I’m visiting them in their home or spending extra time helping them settle in while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, and I’m happy to adjust to whatever helps them feel most secure. I also have veterinary/animal care experience, so I’m comfortable handling pets safely and giving medications if needed. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and comfort levels, and I always make sure pets are supervised, cared for, and treated with patience and kindness. I’ll also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel reassured while away from their pets

“I’m very happy I found Carmen on Rover. I know my dog Arena loves people and being spoiled, but she’s usually very nervous around new people at first. Carmen has been incredibly patient, giving Arena the time and space she needs to feel safe and get comfortable. I truly appreciate how great she’s been during this first week, checking in on Arena while I’m at work. I fully trust her to take my pup on walks and care for her.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
