“Stephanie was amazing. I was very anxious about leaving my 2 year old rescue Chihauhau as we had never been apart. She had great communication with me and was very dependable. The pictures were adorable and helped ease my fears. My cat, Bella did amazing as well. I highly recommend her services and will definitely use her again.”

“Emily is so wonderful and patient. She is always accommodating and understanding with any last minute schedule changes. She takes wonderful care of our rude cat! Emily is very trustworthy and considerate.”

About: I am a caring, enthusiastic animal lover with experience pet sitting for family and friends, as well as working part-time at an overnight dog kennel. Dogs and cats hold a special place in my heart and are much more than companions—they are family. I am dedicated to providing loving, reliable care and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable while in my care. I have an open and flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. Whether you need daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight care, or last-minute assistance, I am happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I understand that trusting someone with your furry family member and your home is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. When caring for pets in their own environment, I follow their established routines, provide constant attention, and ensure they feel secure and comfortable while you're away. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, maintaining a safe, clean, and stress-free environment. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving reliable, compassionate care in the place they know and love most. 🐾❤️
“Kennedy is the best! She always writes the cutest little updates about what they did during the drop in which makes my work day. If you’re looking for someone to take your pup out while you work I would highly recommend”

“Amy was amazing. She met with my husband while I was out of town and then offered to meet me when I was back. She was very attentive with my 3 fur babies and very responsive. She took great care to help out when one of them kept throwing up and she even went back an extra visit to check on one of my escape artists kitties. Would highly recommend and will use her again in the future.”

“Alyssa was a life saver!!!! Alyssa was so kind and the most consistently communicative person I have ever met! I literally felt the whole time like I was right there with my dog! She communicated better than anyone I’ve ever met truly she is amazing. I was never worried the whole time she was watching my baby! Her bio is so accurate she will truly be your dogs best friend !! Coming from someone who has a slightly reactive dog who doesn’t love everyone she meets, my dog was IN LOVE with Alyssa. She loved her from the moment she met her. I was so incredibly impressed by not only her communication skills but her ability to connect with my dog and make me feel still at home with her. I couldn’t recommend her more and can promise that I will be having her over again!!! Book Alyssa for your next get away you will not regret it. She is a 1000/10 all around.”

“Enoni is wonderful! So patient and so kind, always kept sending me updates and I'm definitely going to be usijg her in the future anytime I need. She loves my pups!”

“Laura was amazing. I loved the pictures she sent after each visit. This was the first time we had left our new kitties and they along with our senior dog were well taken care of. She adjusted to some last minute schedule changes perfectly and understandingly. We would love to use her again in the future.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I can train puppies and take care of senior dogs. I have experience with it all. My father used to raise and train puppies since I was 10, so that’s where I get the magic spark from. I am so passionate to take care of, and to love on animals. I have three dogs of my own that we have raised since they were little. I work part-time, and have flexible hours, so I am available for your pups whenever you need a babysitter! Day or night, I can help! When I take care of these pups, I like to chat with the owner about their expectations for the house, and for their pup. Follow instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and bedtime. If accidents happen, clean them up as soon as possible. Stay out of rooms or areas the owner has marked as off-limits. Keep your belongings tidy and out of the way. Keep the volume down. I like to keep owners updated with text and pictures. I also like to do a quick tidy-up before the owner gets back to their sweet pup 🐶!
“I have such piece of mind knowing Amber is the one taking care of my babies, because she does a much better job than when I've left my dogs in boarding kennels. She's so patient w/ my reactive dog and keen to both dogs' needs. I have to move out of state soon, and I'm already fretting how I'll ever find another "Amber." She's been my first Rover experience and will most likely be the best. Thank you, Amber for everything!❤️”

“Raymond was very punctual, professional, and took great care of our pup? He made sure to send pictures each visit and kept in touch. I'd give 10 stars if I could! We'll definitely be reaching out in the future.”

“I am not very good about leaving reviews, but Josie B was probably the best caregiver we have ever had. After meeting with her in person, I immediately relaxed and knew our pets would be taken care of....when we left the next day, I was not visualizing all the bad things that could go wrong with our 4 legged babies, like I always do when we leave them. She sent us the report cards and many pictures. She was not nervous at all about giving our newly diagnosed cat the insulin injections she now needs with both meals. When we decided to come home early, she immediately adjusted the schedule and came by to check on them one last time. When we got home, they were not really that happy to see us at first. I think they were hoping she was coming by again. LOL. My dog and cat were well taken care of...We had decided to try and board them this time with a boarding kennel, but they cancelled because they said they needed to have an overnight vet to monitor our cat. I am so glad they did because it led us to Josie. I will NEVER ever use anyone else again.”

“Lindsay did a great job taking care of our cats while we were away. It was nice to come home and not have to clean up after the cats because Lindsay was so diligent about doing everything I requested on her visits.”

About: I’ve always lived with many cats and dogs my whole life. I’ve had a variety of pets of all ages including rabbits, snakes, bearded dragons, hamsters. I’ve also fostered many kittens and puppies and I currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats, the majority rescues. I’m a huge animal lover! I am mostly a stay at home mom with 4 pets. We take the dogs on daily walks and sometimes to the park. We are always spending time outdoors in our spacious back yard with our dogs running around and cats climbing trees and roofs and such! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats both very friendly if spending time together! I also have a fenced in yard with a garden. I have a separate indoor petroom stocked with a couple crates (if needed for my big dog), enclosed cat litter boxes, a large cat climbing tree, plenty of pet food and treats, many water bowls and toys for all! And a very family friendly neighborhood for walks and a spacious (not fenced) park as well.

“Kaylee did an amazing job with my fur baby, Nugget. She communicated well, arrived within the requested time, and fed/played with Nugget. If I need another sitter in the future, I would absolutely rebook with her!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
