“Emily was very good. My cat who is very shy and tried to get away from it, needed medicine applied to her ears and Emily was able to apply the medicine every day of what we had booked.”

“Raymond was very punctual, professional, and took great care of our pup? He made sure to send pictures each visit and kept in touch. I'd give 10 stars if I could! We'll definitely be reaching out in the future.”

“Eboni had been wonderful! I've been working with her for several months. I employed her help in the beginning to train my dog, which she was eager to do, because he was very reactive but now he is very comfortable with her. She is kind, professional, punctual, and is a proactive communicator. I happily look forward to continue working with Eboni. She's been great!”

About: I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember and have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I have a beagle back home with my family, which has taught me how much pets mean to the people who love them. I’ve cared for puppies, senior dogs, dogs who need medication, and pets with all kinds of personalities and routines. Every pet is different, and I take the time to learn what makes them feel safe and comfortable! My goal is to give every pet the same love, patience, and attention I’d want for my own while you’re away. I’m currently a college student, which gives me a flexible schedule to spend quality time with the pets I care for. I make pet care a priority and always plan my day around the pets I’m watching so they get attention, exercise, and many potty breaks!I’ll also send updates and pictures so you can relax knowing your pet is doing well! I know leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful because they’re part of the family. I always do my best to stick to their normal routine, whether that’s feeding times, walks, playtime, medications, or just giving them extra cuddles. I want your pet to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away, and I’ll care for them the same way I would want someone to care for my own. Their happiness and safety will always be my top priority.

About: Like most, I have had dogs my entire life. I have raised them from as little as 6 weeks old, all the way up to the elderly hospice ages. I have raised multiple huskies (very strong pullers), great danes even little pocket sized pups. While fun and stimulation are key to a dogs growth, during my stays/ walks safety is the primary goal. That means minimal or no street crossing if possible during walks, no dog parks, no interactions with other dogs or people (even if they say they know your dog); you will get your dog back exactly how you left them, happy and in perfect health. I am currently working full-time. I have full availability weekends, early weekdatys and nights. If you have any questions, concerns or just anything you would like to go over feel free to reach out. While I have my own way and preferences on how to take care of a pet. Upon meeting I will walk you through my process and everything I will be doing. As the owner, your preferences and style will be given priority over mine during my stay.
“What a great experience! Laura is the sweetest and showed each of my boys with love and care. Loved receiving all her pictures she took and the run down of how the boys did. Will be using her in the future! Thank you!”

About: Hi my name is Taylor and I’m married my husband is in the navy, and we are from South Carolina. We have been in Washington State the last 4.5 years and we just moved to kingsland GA in October 2025. I have two pups one is named blue and one is violet they are medium size dogs and super friendly and loving. Due to this I only offer drop ins and boarding. I'm very responsible easy going with a flexible schedule. Very energetic and get the job done type of person. I am great with any type of pet not just dogs. Message me and I'll respond in less than 24 hours normally. I can care for almost any dog and its needs! I’m pretty good at adjusting to any pets needs and reading cues from them. Safety is my number one priority. If you are a service member and going on deployment or taking leave for 10+ days we can discuss during meet and greets special pricing I’m willing to give to help out military members to allow you to juggle keeping your pup and making it less stressful. Have a large house and have a sectioned off part for crating and feeding if needed. Will have a fenced yard starting end of January 2026. Just moved to GA for my husbands new duty station. Just unpacking our house and getting to know the area! Would love to be able to help care for some fur babies. I have a fenced yard starting end of 01/2026. I have two extra crates I keep on hand and a larger home to be able to separate animals if needed. I don’t normally take unaltered animals because of issues with humping and our dogs tend not to be dominant personalities and this normally leads to a lot of it especially our male dog so I just try to avoid it by not having unaltered animals in my care.
“Donald was an excellent care provider for my dog. He was always on time always sent great pictures. Handled my dogs health issues with ease and confidence. My dog even started to like him”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Amazing Cat Sitter! I cannot recommend her enough! She was absolutely amazing with my cats while I was away on vacation. ❤️ She went above and beyond to make sure they were well cared for, comfortable, and loved. Knowing they were in such good hands gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was attentive, reliable, caring, and truly treated my cats as if they were her own. It’s never easy leaving your fur babies behind, but she made the entire experience so much easier. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and love she gave them, and I would 100% trust her with my cats again. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your pets, look no further! 🐱💕”

About: I'm 35 years old with 2 dogs myself. I have had a great deal of professional and non-professional pet care and training experience since I was a child on a farm in Northern Vermont 🙂. From raising different horses, pigs, ducks, geese, goats, chickens, and rabbits, I enjoy animals of all shapes and sizes. If you choose my place, I'm proud of my clean one-story home, free of stairs, perfect for older or disabled pets, and an open interior for the more playful ones, too. My pets and I are by nature very routine, and I understand the need to keep your pets' schedule the same to minimise stress, separation anxiety, or any unwanted behavior. I want you to as the pet parent, to feel comfortable just as I want your pet to feel comfortable. If visiting your place, i.e., drop-ins, walks, and house sitting, I will share pet updates and follow all your recommended asks. I am newly located in Sain Marys, Georgia, from Maryland. I am happy to accommodate any special needs your furry friend may have at home. I will follow all your recommendations while being happy to accommodate any special needs. A key to a successful pet care experience is not only maintaining the animal's basic needs but also overdelivering in compassion, time, effort, and patience. All this while keeping your pet's normal routine, just adding me as their guardian at the time of care.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 10 years old and constantly go and watch my sisters dogs once every two months I have a flexible schedule and make pet care a priority. I’m available for drop-in visits, dog walking, and pet sitting throughout the week, including evenings and most weekends. I always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special needs. I take time to build trust with every pet, provide constant supervision, and maintain a clean, calm environment. Whether caring for your pet in your home or mine, I’ll treat them with the same love, patience, and respect I would give my own.
About: I truly feel that it is my duty to ensure the happiness and safety of each pet in my care. I keep that motto at the forefront of my mind each and every day that I spend with your pet. Because I am aware of how much pets contribute to our lives, it is my responsibility to ensure that your pet receives the same level of affection and care as they do at home. Even though I've been an animal lover all my life, my experience with dogs is much more extensive than that. Because I love dogs so much, making them as happy as possible is second nature to me. I've worked in cat and dog boarding and daycare for more than ten years. I've worked with hundreds of dogs and wouldn't change it for the world! I have loved and cared for all sizes of dogs, animals with special needs and pets in need of injections or oral medications also Seniors and declining. When acquiring a new customer, usually I like to arrange a meet-and-greet. It's a great way to make sure we're all a good match, which is very important to me. Also, it gives us a chance to talk face-to-face about your expectations for your dog's care. Since you know your dog better than anyone else, it's always fun to talk to owners in person about what makes him or her tail wag. Finally. I adore getting to know new dogs and demonstrate I am a welcome presence and I am here to make friends. My everyday availability is twenty- four hours a day and seven days a week unless i update my calendar because i am completely booked with pets. In my home - No pets allowed on beds, fenced yard, non-smoking household, walks every few hours in owners home - walks every few hours, overnight boarding available
About: I live in a home with a fenced-in yard. I have 7 animals of my own (2 dogs, 4 cats, and a bearded dragon) and I live with 2 other furbaby spoilers (1 works at the humane society!). I also work from home, so I can be very flexible. I promise to send you silly/cute moments of their vacation 🥰 I work from home, so I am very flexible. I also have a fenced-in yard. I can follow just about any routine your pets are used to. I’m big on furbaby cuddles! While I’m watching them, they will get all the nose boops and scratches they want! If they’re on a potty schedule, I’ll set timers to make sure I don’t miss it. If not, I love figuring out what their cue is to go outside :)

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. As a dog owner, I know the importance of patience, trust-building, and creating a safe environment where pets feel comfortable and loved. My rescue dog, Orville, has taught me the value of meeting dogs where they are, whether they need extra reassurance, structure, playtime, or simply a calm companion. I take the time to learn each pet’s habits and preferences so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free while their family is away. I have always enjoyed helping friends, family, and neighbors by caring for their pets. While I have not provided pet care professionally before or through a platform like Rover, I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for animals and understanding their needs. My experience may not be formally documented, but it comes from years of genuine care, responsibility, and love for all animals. I pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and communicative. Your pet will be treated with the same care, respect, and affection I give my own. Thursday through Saturday, I have flexible availability and can provide care throughout the day. I currently work four days a week until 3 PM, so Sunday through Wednesday I'm available after 3 PM. I am happy to work with your pet’s schedule and routine! I love spending time in my own backyard, but I also enjoy exploring new places! My pup loves adventures, so we often visit on-leash parks for walks, fresh air, and new experiences. I enjoy giving dogs opportunities to safely explore, get exercise, and enjoy the world around them while always keeping their comfort and safety a priority. Play is a constant in our household! I believe playtime is about more than just fetch. I enjoy incorporating scent games, enrichment activities, and mentally stimulating games into a dog’s routine to help keep them happy and engaged (esp. if it's extremely hot or rainy)!

Emily was super. She did previsits to make sure she and the dogs were a match. During her visits , one of my guys got a little sick and she cleaned it up , no problem. Regular reports and pictures made me very comfortable that they were okay. Would definitely recommend and rebook her

We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter! From the moment we met Austyn it was clear how much she genuinely cares about her animals. Our pets were happy and well cared for the entire time away. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
