As a dog owner, I also have hands-on experience caring for dogs with special needs and medical conditions. My dog Mabel, who is 11, underwent a double enucleation (removal of both eyes), so I understand how to help blind dogs navigate their surroundings safely and confidently. Before her surgery, I also administered her eye drops daily for a year. My dog Lenny has heart disease and takes multiple medications and supplements, so I’m very comfortable administering medications and keeping track of doses using a pill organizer. I also love staying active with my dogs! I take my Maggie on walks of at least 1.5 miles regularly and am happy to provide exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention based on your dog’s individual needs. I understand that pets are family, and trusting someone else to care for them is a big deal. I can easily step away for 30 minutes to an hour throughout the day between meetings and other tasks. This allows me to be flexible with visits, walks, feeding schedules, and giving your pets the attention they need while you’re away. Although my dogs do not enjoy company in their home, I am more than happy to accommodate your dog’s safety in your home. I am very vigilant and aware of my surroundings when I take my dogs on walks and will ensure that I do the same to keep your dog safe at all times.
