She understands the importance of allowing your dog to go at their own pace and acclimate to their environment during the initial meet and greet and each subsequent visit. She never pushes dogs for interactions they aren’t ready for, which is especially important in my case as one of my dogs is fearful and easily stressed. Kathy also has a dog of her own - the tiniest, sweetest thing. Even my very shy dog doesn’t mind her. Overall, I’d say every experience I’ve had with Kathy has been excellent. About: I've had cats since I was born. Currently I own two of my own cats since they were both kittens. I litter trained them and even bottle fed one of them. I've administered medications to them both, weaned them from wet to dry food, and I've learned how to trim their nails properly. I even bathe them on occasion when they get messy or stinky.

Our rescue cat is the one who convinced us we needed another cat. About: I love all animals, and creatures! My goal in life is to own an animal sanctuary one day, to house rescued animals. About: Dogs have been a significant part of my life, holding a special place in my heart. Growing up, my mother was involved in rescuing dogs, and we even took part in fostering. This experience exposed me to dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I've undergone basic dog training and share my life with a 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog named Millie. Prior to Millie, we had a beloved hound dog named Evie, who was a cherished companion for 15 years. However, my schedule is highly flexible, minimizing the time they are left alone. Cats: Cats may be left unsupervised in a designated, pet-safe room with regular check-ins. Handling Aggressive or Special Needs Pets I have extensive experience with fearful, reactive, and aggressive pets, but clear and honest communication is essential: Cats: I am comfortable handling feral or aggressive cats and will take the necessary time to build trust. I can administer medication as needed, but I require full transparency about their behavior to ensure safety for all. Dogs: I can accommodate dogs with minor behavioral challenges, such as leash reactivity or mild anxiety. However, for safety reasons, I cannot accept: Dogs over 50 lbs who are not at least moderately leash-trained. Dogs requiring a muzzle or choke collar in public settings. Dogs with severe aggression or unpredictable behavior. Double-Booking Policy For the safety and well-being of all pets, I do not double-book boarding, daycare, or walks unless all parties have given consent and a meet-and-greet has taken place. If multiple dogs are staying in my home at the same time, a meet-and-greet is required. Even if the dogs get along, they will not be left alone together unless securely crated. Cats and dogs boarding in my home simultaneously will be kept in separate areas with no contact.

About: When I had dogs, I treated them as family. They were always loved and cared for. I am familiar with all types of dogs, as I am a retired letter carrier and have had many encounters with dogs and I can proudly say that I have never been bit by any of them. Most dogs on my old route are always extremely excited to see me when I arrive at their homes or when their family members are walking them. I have had four dogs in my life, all rescues, and am quite familiar with the needs of my canine friends. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, it is all part of loving our fur babies. About: I have experience with animals in all settings. I have helped distract puppies when they receive their first shots and I have helped dogs who get laser therapy. I have helped care for the pets family and friend throughout my entire life. I have always enjoyed helping people but helping pets is so special. I work part time 0.5 mile away from home. I usually work from 12pm- 8pm. Or later in the evening usually between 5pm - 2 am. When I am not home my boyfriend is home most of the day. I live in a safe and quiet apartment, without a fenced in yard. I have an American bulldog mix. I enjoy going for walks and bringing out the best in my favorite fuzzy critters.
