“Kyle was great with my dog, Byron! He sent me pictures throughout the day and was really flexible when I wanted to pick my dog up early. :) He let me know another dog would be there and took the time to introduce Byron properly so they could be besties. I was nervous leaving my old man for the day, but I felt much better knowing he was with Kyle and having a nice time. Will definitely use Kyle again, and recommend him for your pups too.”

About: I have a lot of education with dogs. In high school I attended a Scroc Pet boarding class and also went to Animal Behavior College. I worked at Pet Boarding and Spa in Lomita, California. I volunteer at the Lancaster Animal Shelter where I have fostered puppies that were underaged and bottle fed them and potty trained them. I am very familiar with humane animal restraint. I am familiar with all dog breeds . I have taken care of dogs for most of my life. I have distributed medicine to dogs often. I tend to take care of animals with all my heart, and love them within seconds of meeting them and would do anything for them. I believe I am the best choice for your pets needs.

About: I used to be the president of an animal rescue called Secondhand Animals. Between running an animal rescue and owning dogs, cats, fish, turtles and hamsters all my life, I am very knowledge about animals, what they can and cannot eat, sickness, medications and what to look out for. I am completely set up for X-Large to X-small dogs, and the animals in my home are very friendly to other animals. If not we have several other rooms in the house, where we can keep a guest by themselves in order to not stress the out so much. We also just had a dog run built. I am currently working full-time, but I do go home during lunches and am home in the evenings and weekends. I also have help, if it is needed. I have a fenced in yard, and a dog run with it's own fencing. Every evening I sit out on the deck, and try to engage with my animals. I say try because they do not know what fetch is, but they understand keep-away. We also enjoy taking car rides and walks.
“Anna and her family did a great job caring for my pups. She sent frequent photos and videos that put me at ease. I could see their personalities shine in the videos which helped me feel confident that they felt safe with Anna. They loved playing outside and I’m thankful they had that space to do that.”
About: I’ve cared for dogs for 33 years. Including but not limited to walking, feeding, hygiene care and administrating multiple medicines. Familiar with seizures as well. I have pets of my own so tending to animals is a routine to me and my children for a daily routine. We have cats and a small dog. Our cats and dog are mainly inside animals. With my dog going outside to the gated backyard whenever she wants. We also have a gated pool so the animals will remain safe.
“We found an excellent pet sitter in Josian who took great care of Peewee, our furry baby, for two days. As this was our first time using Rover, we wanted to have the peace of mind and confidence that Peewee would be in a pleasant and conducive environment while we were away. We arranged for a meet and greet with Josian at his house. Josian was friendly, welcoming and had a calm demeanor. We were impressed by the safe layout of his front yard and back yard and the cleanliness of his home. Peewee seemed to settle in, felt at home and took an instant liking to Josian and his small doggie. Josian kept us updated and provided pictures of Peewee during his stay. Needless to say, everything went well so Josian will now be our go-to person for Peewee's boarding needs.”

“Emily and Brooks treated our dog like part of their family. They opened their home for a meet and greet prior to our trip. He loved playing with their dog. I also appreciated that they only take one dog at a time for extended care.”

“Monica took really good care of my fur baby for 12 days. She is very good at communicating and sent me pictures throughout my trip. I was at peace and was able to enjoy my vacation worry free. Myles seemed to really enjoy himself and had lots of play time. I would definitely recommend Monica she is definitely the sitter. Myles will definitely be back !”

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
