“Max was so thoughtful when looking after our dogs. They had a great time and all their different needs were catered for. Max kept us updated with photos and was careful to ensure all had a great stay, and we were able to relax, knowing that our dogs were in 'good hands'. We'd highly recommend using Max as our dog sitter.”

“My experience with Nadia watching my dog was wonderful! Jade seemed so happy and comfortable there, and I could tell she really enjoyed her stay. She even made a new friend with Nadia’s dog 🐶❤️ I truly appreciate the care and attention Nadia gave her. I will definitely be using Nadia again in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and recently raised and trained my own dog from puppyhood, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. I work from home, which means your pup will get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and of course lots of cuddles! I genuinely love being around dogs and spending time outdoors, whether that’s going for a walk, a hike, or just hanging out together. I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own and make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. ☺️ I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can give your pet lots of attention throughout the day. I’m very active and love to walk, so your dog will get plenty of exercise and outdoor time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I stick to their usual routines—like feeding times, walks, and play—and always make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions to keep your pet happy and stress-free while you’re away.

About: I have a lot of education with dogs. In high school I attended a Scroc Pet boarding class and also went to Animal Behavior College. I worked at Pet Boarding and Spa in Lomita, California. I volunteer at the Lancaster Animal Shelter where I have fostered puppies that were underaged and bottle fed them and potty trained them. I am very familiar with humane animal restraint. I am familiar with all dog breeds . I have taken care of dogs for most of my life. I have distributed medicine to dogs often. I tend to take care of animals with all my heart, and love them within seconds of meeting them and would do anything for them. I believe I am the best choice for your pets needs.
“Anna and her family did a great job caring for my pups. She sent frequent photos and videos that put me at ease. I could see their personalities shine in the videos which helped me feel confident that they felt safe with Anna. They loved playing outside and I’m thankful they had that space to do that.”

“Carole was a blessing to find. She watched our dog for an entire week with no issues and every few days she communicated with us by sending us a pic of our furry baby. She has a beautiful outdoor area for dog sitting and has lots of knowledge with dogs. We ended up not having enough food for our dog and she went out and bought a bag for him and we reimbursed her via Zell. She also gave us really good tips on how to train our puppy. My family recommends her and we'll definitely use her again.”

About: I used to be the president of an animal rescue called Secondhand Animals. Between running an animal rescue and owning dogs, cats, fish, turtles and hamsters all my life, I am very knowledge about animals, what they can and cannot eat, sickness, medications and what to look out for. I am completely set up for X-Large to X-small dogs, and the animals in my home are very friendly to other animals. If not we have several other rooms in the house, where we can keep a guest by themselves in order to not stress the out so much. We also just had a dog run built. I am currently working full-time, but I do go home during lunches and am home in the evenings and weekends. I also have help, if it is needed. I have a fenced in yard, and a dog run with it's own fencing. Every evening I sit out on the deck, and try to engage with my animals. I say try because they do not know what fetch is, but they understand keep-away. We also enjoy taking car rides and walks.
“Zack and Dina's family were so great! They were able to watch my girl for a week, and she seemed like she had such a great time there! They sent pictures and videos of her having fun playing with their dogs and son, and snuggling with them in the evenings. I'm glad I found someone to watch her that I feel comfortable with, and that she's safe and loved while I'm away ?”

About: Yes, I am vaccinated. I've taken care of dogs for a dog rescue (Pepper Foundation, Studio City), know first aid, geriatric care & have had many of my own. I've had pets since a child. I know First Aid & even earned a First AID/CPR certificate. My little Heidi, my minny unwanted dassy originally given to me as a birthday gift, not wanted by her owners cause she had a small bald spot and wasn't perfect, lived until 19 yrs old and my Cat Munchkin lived until 23 yrs old (unusual long age). I've fostered many dogs for the Pepper Foundation who typically rescues unwanted geriatric special needs dogs but also fostered puppies as well. I know all about giving fluids, meds, and have certain med supplies here, just per chance. I've cared for dogs at owner's homes and know about meds if needed. I understand sensitivity and kindness, good care & responsible attention to your best friend(s). I won't let anything happen to your fur baby. Will go by your rules too. I am near various vets, have large yard for play, no pool or danger, covered patio, and possibly another small/med size zen dog to play with. I worked with lots of doggies with and without disabilities all unique needing individualized attention and diets. I've worked with puppies who need lots of love. I've worked with other animals as well: Cats, a squirrel, and birds. I have different rooms, per chance you have a dog that needs a certain type of serenity. I have air conditioning and evap cooling here and heat in the winter. You can't leave a dog outside in very cold temps or very hot temps. You also cannot leave them in a car in the heat. The heat will heat up in one minute in a car. I have security cameras here on the property, in the yard, allover the front of my house as well and an alert system if I need it. I have an MfA in Fine Art and an MA in Illustration. I paint dog portraits as well. I have lots of time to give care and a free-styled 24 hour a day schedule. I study at my own pace at home so I have time to give your pets attention and keep an eye on them. I have a secure fenced yard, outdoor cams, dogs can stay indoors, have doggy door, living room and couch, and no carpet here. I am trustworthy, honest character, caring, concerned with the health of your fur baby, medically aware, know first aid for animals, and know how much your love your pet. I do not believe in hitting a dog or cat "to train them" what so ever and believe you can train a dog best with patience and love. They learn much better when you consider their feelings. They do not like feeling fear or humiliation. I also don't believe in hitting the floor with a newspaper as some do, if a doggy urinates on the floor. That only teaches them fear; you want to teach them they they are loved and it's ok instead. It's somewhat quite here much of the time. I have tennis balls that my dog likes to play with. Dogs need to know they can trust you first of all and that they will get fed, be able to play and relax, and have a place to nap and rest. They need to know they are safe in their environment and no one is going to harm them. Sometimes it takes a little while to earn a dog's trust. I make time for the pets and available. Fits just fine most of the time. Call and book if you are in need. We can set up meet and greet and talk by phone. I usually consider a day care situation about 8 hours long. We play in and in the yard, if your dog likes to play. Your dog can snuggle on the couch or in a doggy bed, whichever your dog prefers. Depending on your rules, your dog will get some treats and you can let me know what type of toys is ok with your dog and which are not.
About: My love for pets started when my grandparents adopted a Pomeranian when I was a child. Back at home my family and I have a husky name Shadow (10) who loves howling at every siren he hears. I have done pet sitting around LA and Korea. My main responsibility was ensuring the pets kept to their routine, got their daily exercise, and were comfortable. I will always do my best to make sure they are continuously cared for. Also be prepared for daily photo updates so you never miss a moment! I do architecture and work remotely. I am typically flexible with my schedule. I will be able to provide as much attention to your fur babies as I can. I follow all established feeding, exercise, and medication routines while ensuring the home remains secure and well-maintained. I also send daily updates and photos so owners have complete peace of mind while away.
“We are grateful we came across your website and found Sarah. Sarah has so many great qualities and seeing the new bond with our dog Coral is very special. She sent pictures, videos, and texts messages. We are so happy and will be reaching out to her our next trip out. Thank you”

“Lizz was great at communicating and accommodating us for a last minute stay. She was also very understanding when we ended up getting stuck in traffic on our way back from our trip and had to pick up our dog later than expected. I would definitely book with her again.”

“We feel so lucky to have found Weihui! She and her husband were incredibly warm and welcoming to both us and our dog from the very beginning. Weihui asked thoughtful questions at drop-off, which immediately gave us confidence that our dog would be in great hands. Throughout the stay, she kept us updated with detailed messages, along with plenty of photos and videos that gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear how much genuine love, attention, and care she gave our dog, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
