“Scott was our first introduction to Rover. We really appreciated that he could come on short notice to sit with our 22-week old puppy. We loved Scott's relaxed and gentle way with our dog who is so excited to meet someone new, but is still in manners training in how to greet people. Scott quickly picked up on what we were trying to teach and went along with that routine. Scott arrived on the dot of our agreed time and we plan to ask him to come again!”

“Cassie was wonderful! We had no worries, as we were gone for 11 days. She stayed at our home, so it didn’t stress out our dog, Zoe. Cassie was very proactive with asking detailed questions about her and just genuinely concerned about all her needs. She even suggested coming over for some visits prior to our vacation, so Zoe could get use to her. Highly recommend!!?”
“Elizabeth was wonderful with Ollie! He took to her right away. She sent lots of pics which I appreciated! She also took great care of my home. Would highly recommend!!”

“Samantha was wonderful with our 3 fur babies. Very attentive to their needs and wants. Our 3 even pouted when she left! Highly recommend, she went above and beyond for our babies!”

“Kaitlyn was great with the dogs right from the meet and greet. She handled their different personalities and medical needs perfectly. She did all that was asked and more. Thank you for allowing me the peace of mind to enjoy this week with friends!!”

“Robert did such a good job sitting for my dog Ozzie at my condo. He was very attentive to detail, asked good questions, sent me lots of photos and seemed to really enjoy spending time with Ozzie. Made my trip worry-free!”

About: I've been pet sitting in the Madison area during my entire time in undergrad and pharmacy school. My petting sitting experience has included dogs, cats, and birds. I am comfortable giving medication, both orally and injectable. I never shy away from those that need extra special medical attention and love. I've been fostering mostly dogs the last 6 years. While out in Montana for residency, I foster failed and moved back to Wisconsin with the sweetest lady, Sydney. Now that I am back in Madison and working part-time, I want to fill in my free time with walks, drop-ins, and occasional house-sitting (Sydney will stay home with my partner). My schedule is flexible. Always open to checking my calendar to see if your needed dates/time work! My work schedule varies at this time. I can be adaptable to the pet's routine. I can usually work around whatever the pet's needs are. I try my best to replicate the pet's normal routine as best as I can with the instructions given to me by the owner. Whatever is best for the pet.
“Stephanie took excellent care of my diabetic dog who had some surprise additional restrictions after a tooth removal earlier that week. Additionally, she left my house spotless.”

“I sang my praises of Katie last week as she has watched my dog- 2 weekends in a row. And this was another very successful time! She is great with my dog and even made treats for him!”

“Our anxious dog warmed right up on Maddie’s repeat visit! It is such a relief to get home with your dogs completely at ease. We are fortunate to have a reliable, communicative, and overall great caretaker for our pack. 🐾”

About: I grew up in a dog-centered household and have hands-on experience with dogs at every life stage. My family ran a caring, ethical puppy business, where I helped provide round-the-clock care for four litters of puppies— assisting with births, feeding, cleaning, socializing, and early training. Because of this experience, I'm especially comfortable with young puppies, routines, and basic training. I'm no stranger to abundant patience and close supervision! I've also had many senior dogs in my family and am experienced in providing gentle, thoughtful care for older pets who need extra support. I've helped pets through health challenges as well, including illness and post-surgery recovery. Now that I've moved out of my childhood home, I truly miss being surrounded by animals and would love the opportunity to care for yours! Whether it's companionship and snuggles or structured routines and medical care, I love making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well-loved. Monday-Wednesday I work during the day and attend evening grad classes, so drop-in times are limited but still possible. Thursday and Friday I typically work 8am-4pm, so I’m available for evening visits and/or overnight care. Weekends and holidays are generally open for drop-ins or overnights as well. As a grad student preparing to be a teacher, my schedule can vary slightly week to week, but I’m always upfront about my availability and happy to coordinate around your needs! I prioritize safety and comfort for every pet in my care. During house sitting or drop-ins, I respect your privacy and belongings while keeping your home secure, treating your space as I would want a pet sitter to treat mine. I’m an avid rule and routine follower, so please don’t hesitate to share details about your pet and home! On walks, I maintain constant supervision and stay attentive to my surroundings to keep pets safe. I’m experienced with anxious animals and know how to monitor stress and respond appropriately. I’m committed to making sure your pet stays safe, comfortable, and happy, and I provide updates so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands!
“Joel sat for our two pups at our house and did an absolutely fantastic job with them! You can tell he has a lot of experience with animals and we will absolutely book with him in the future. Thanks Joel!”
“Annemarie was a WONDERFUL dog sitter for my pup! She was so attentive and kept me informed the entire time, and Laika absolutely adored her. I will definitely be rebooking!”

About: Hi! I'm Hailey. I am totally obsessed with animals, despite being a healthcare worker. I'm currently a student nurse at the UW, but it doesn't mean I can't spend time with animals! In my profile, you'll see pictures of two yellow labs; these two are gone now, but I grew up with them, and they taught me so much about life and love. I have spent time volunteering with the DCHS, Heartland Farm Sanctuary (where you see the emus), and Feathered Friends. Most recently, I adopted a disabled kitty cat and a labrador rescued from a puppy mill. Both of them fulfill my life in ways I can't even begin to explain. Having worked in nursing and volunteered with animals, I am no stranger to compassionate care! Other than going to classes, my life revolves around my dog. She goes everywhere with me, and we exercise for at least an hour together every day. Every room of my house has a dedicated spot for her! Your pets would be treated no differently (unless that's what you want!) My partner and I maintain a child-free and drug-free home in a quiet neighborhood. Our home is peaceful and low-stress, perfect for any pup. As for walking, I always carry personal protective equipment (pepper spray, alarms, location trackers) to maintain safety. I alone will be your beloved pet's caretaker per Rover policy.
Rolling Meadows pet parents share their Rover experiences
Anna is thoughtful, proactive, very capable and caring - she was a wonderful caregiver for my fur baby! She handled unexpected needs with grace, including being willing to fill out detailed daily note sheets because my kitty was needing to start a new medication. She also left my apartment cleaner than she found it and took initiative to change the sheets so that I'd come home to fresh ones. Very kind! She sent pics of my sweet kitty and took great care of him. He was super cuddly with her within a couple days, and they got along great. Highly recommend working with Anna to care for your fur baby (& plants & home)!

We did a trial overnight for an upcoming vacation with Morgan and things could not have gone any better. Very relieved with how well my somewhat picky dogs did with her and how everything was left. It's great peace of mind for our future trip to know my babies will be in good hands!

This was our second time booking Julia, and she did a great job again! She handled both of our cats really well — our spicy one and our overly affectionate, sneezy one — and managed their very different personalities with no problem. It’s such a relief to know they’re in capable hands while we’re away. Highly recommend!
Lynelle was fantastic house sitting our dog Maeve! She sent us some glamour shot pictures of her doing puzzles and on a walk, showing that she was doing okay in the process. She gave timely updates and made sure we were in the loop on everything that happened during the day. Maeve took to Lynelle extremely well, we’d be happy to repeat again!
