About: Hello! My name is Rachel, I am a graduate student living in Lancaster and love to take care of your pets in my free time! I grew up with a big family and many animals including goats, horses, chickens, ducks, and a few dogs running around. I have always loved animals, especially horses and dogs. I also worked at Karen’s K9 Kare in Malvern for around a year. During my time there I gained experience dealing with large groups of dogs as well as bathing, training, and getting picky dogs to eat. About: I started fostering kitten when I was around 5, and have fostered over 200 kittens with the local humane league. The last 4 years of my life were spent caring for my childhood cat full time who passed at 19. I'm great at dealing with cat personalities, I've seen all types while fostering, and I'm especially good with scared or shy cats, and great at caring for elderly kitties. I've had dogs all my life, one or two always since I was 10. All were big golden retrievers/labs, all quite big boys, but I love all types of dogs. I'm going to be available full time to take care of your pets. Until recently, I was taking care of my own elderly cat full time as she needed lots of care. Now I'd really like to help out other peoples pets with the knowledge and experience I've gained throughout my life. About: I have worked at a local animal hospital as a Veterinary Assistant the past 2 years. In this role I take appointments, handle and care for both cats and dogs, and assist the other veterinary staff.
