About: Welcome to the Lapdog Lounge!! I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, with many years dedicated to small breeds—especially Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. I understand their quirky, lovable personalities and the extra TLC they sometimes need to feel safe and at home. I genuinely enjoy helping petite pups feel secure, cherished, and comfortable—whether we’re snuggling on the couch or just keeping each other company. Because I focus on caring for small dogs in my home, I welcome small breeds of all kinds under 25 pounds. This helps ensure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and able to relax in a cozy, low-stress environment where little dogs can truly thrive. I take a limited number of guests so I can provide the best care - booking are first come, first served once confirmed. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home almost all the time, so your pet will never feel alone or forgotten. Pet care is part of my daily routine, and I love providing attention, structure, and affection—whether it’s feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or cozy companionship. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard with lots of shade, a calm, pet-friendly home, and two small, friendly dogs who love new friends. My young children were raised around animals and know how to be gentle and respectful. I’m happy to follow any routines to help your dog feel safe and at home.

“Marlow had an awesome time with Mickayla and her pups. She even had another puppy booked which Marlow became best buds with. “We are from a small town in Southeast Kansas, and traveled to the Springfield/Branson area for a mini family vacation. We have 3 full sized dogs and haven’t ever had to board them anywhere before. We found out about Rover from another individuals review on another platform. We reached out to Raquel Thursday morning & she quickly responded and we dropped off our fur babies an hour later! Sh was super friendly and you could tell she has a deep love for animals, which eased our worries tremendously! She sent us videos and updates without us even having to request them! We then had a change in plans and needed care for the entire weekend she was super accommodating! We were able to enjoy our trip without worry. She kept us updated all weekend with texts, photos, and videos. Our pups had the best time and were loved on just like we would of loved on them if there were home! She is a true blessing 10/10 recommend and she will 100% be our first call for future visits to the area! ❤️”

“No complaints. Kaitlin was very nice and easy to work with and our puppies seemed to take to her and her home right away. Thank you Kaitlin ❤️”

“Wicket ran up to Tracy as if she was a long lost friend! He didn’t have any anxiety when I left. Tracy made my fur baby feel safe and secure. She was wonderful!”

“They were amazing and awesome about getting us in last minute! They sent us a lot of pictures and really got to know our dogs and made sure to acknowledge any questions or concerns we may have had.”

“Addy was communicative and sent cute pictures and videos throughout the day. A huge thanks for watching Jett!”

About: I worked as a lead kennel attendant for nearly three years before moving to Springfield, and I can tell you there is a huge difference between boarding with a family rather than a facility. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved my job taking care of other people's pets, but I always wished there was something more I could do to comfort pets who were stressed or overworked by all the commotion. The large volume of pets and and tight schedules often left minimal to no time for cuddles, and only a couple potty breaks a day. This structure often separated families, especially those with cats and dogs, as they were kept in different buildings. By boarding in my own home, I am striving to provide a calm environment where your pets can be able to relax and feel comfortable. Unlike typical boarding facilities that are only open for 12 hours, your pet will be able to have someone there with them 24/7 to comfort and monitor them. Families of pets will also be able to be kept together, and roam the house as they normally would at home. I would be more than happy to welcome your pets into my home, so you can leave them knowing they are in good hands. Photo, video, and text updates can be requested at any time during the day to keep you updated on how your pet is doing. I also offer free optional baths at the end of their stay to wash any dirt from their adventures away! I would love to be your pets home away from home and spoil them with attention, play, and cuddles while you are away. ❤️ I do pet care along side my other businesses at home. I will sometimes go out to DoorDash around lunch and dinner time for just a couple hours at a time. Otherwise I will be at the house. I try to follow the owners regular routine to the best of my ability. If you have specific feeding, walk, kennel times, or other routines you would like to keep in place please let me know! Otherwise I work with your pet, offering potty breaks whenever needed, two feedings a day, large walks 1-2 times a day, unlimited water, and bed time the same as however you would do it at home. All walks must be leashed as I do not have a fenced in yard. The neighborhood has large open streets and side walks, with a large park only a 5 minute walk away.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes since I was 10. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I have a rescue dog now and previously cared for my senior dog, who was diabetic with hip issues for over 5 years. I’m confident handling shy rescues, seniors, and pups who need special attention or medication. I’m currently job hunting, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, and boarding in my home most weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I don’t offer in-home stays, but I’ll make sure your pup gets the same love and care they’d get at home. I currently have one friendly dog and one calm, well-behaved cat who are both used to being around other pets. My home is safe, pet-friendly, and I’m always watching to make sure everyone is comfortable. I can easily crate your dog if needed, and I’ll follow any routines or instructions to help them feel right at home. I’ll be moving soon to a home with a fully fenced yard for even more space to play!

About: I grew up with dogs and currently have three of my own. Other than taking care of my own, I have fed and walked dogs for other neighbors and friends. I believe dogs are a part of the family. I understand the level of love and care your pet needs. I currently work from home, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your dogs! I am available to let your pup have needed potty breaks, play time, and walking throughout the day. My house has its own dog room where your dogs can play, nap, and be in a safe space. If crates are preferred, we can crate them in this dog room, or if the weather is pleasant, we can crate them in the garage. We have .5 acre lot where the dogs can roam under my supervision. Me and my husband have three dogs who love to play and meet other dogs. We have plenty of toys and much love to give to your pup! I know updates are very important for your peace of mind, so I will keep in touch with you sending pictures and updates throughout their time with me.

About: My name is Andia Cain. I graduated this May from Kansas State University with a degree in Animal Science Production and Management! I have a black lab named Oscar that I’ve had for 8 years! I have worked in multiple vet clinics so I have a lot of medical experience when it comes to animals. I promise your pet will be safe with me! I’m currently working part time taking care of horses that I feed early in the morning and in the evening. The rest of the day is free for me to care for your pets! I absolutely love going for runs with my dog so if your dog loves exercise then we would be perfect! I am living in an apartment but I will still make sure your dogs needs are met!

About: I grew up with always having a dog and also grew up on a farm taking care of all kinds of animals. I am an animal lover and know all the ins & out's when it comes to caring for them. I love spending quality time with dogs from playing ball to taking walks- or even sneaking in some treats! “Brooke is observant and very caring. My dogs absolutely love her. She goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy and well taken care of.”

Jeslyn M.
“I have know Jeslyn her entire life. Since she was a toddler, she has loved the outdoors and all sorts of animals from wildlife to domesticated. The love and care that she shows even with the wildlife type animals amazes me. I am grateful to her for this because my daughter grew up with her and she has taken on these traits. I, and my family always have Jeslyn take care of our dogs and house sit when we go out of town for the weekend for a softball tournament; which is quite frequent up until Jeslyn grew older and went off to college. No doubt in my mind she is a sound, capable, reliable, and responsible person that I would trust not only my dogs but also my house. She makes sure they are fed, watered and taken out on a regular basis to go to the bathroom. I also love that she interacts with our dogs like family and shows them lots of love and attention. She definitely treats our pets like they are family. I highly recommend her for your future pet needs.”

Merida G.
“Merida LOVES pets and I cannot think of a better place for your pet’s home away from home than in Merida’s care! She will treat them like her own!”
