“We are so happy to have Irina walk our two corgis now that I’m returning to an office a few days each week. I think I probably had more separation anxiety than the pups, but it’s comforting knowing they get a visit with Irina and burn off some energy. We love the photos and card updates. Looking forward to many more walks!”

About: I grew up with many different dogs of different sizes, ages and energy levels and have pet sit and dog walked for a variety since then. Dogs seem to easily trust me and friends and neighbors often trust me with their pets because I adjust my approach to each dog to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I am calm under pressure and genuinely adore all pups. I’m currently working part time as a hostess meaning that I have lots of free time to devote to dog walking and the best care possible. I love going on hikes and walks either way so dog walking will fit easily into the routine I already have established. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours their safety and well-being always come first. I follow any instructions closely and make sure pets are never left unattended in unsafe situations. I keep a calm and clean space and am careful to remove anything that could be a hazard. When pet sitting at a client’s home, I respect the space and maintain the pets routine to help them feel secure and at ease. I’m mindful about doors, gates, and leashes to prevent escapes and keep everyone safe.

About: Hi, I’m Sophia! I made Oakland my home almost four years ago! Since my apartment does not allow pets, the time I get to spend with pets is extra special to me. I’ve been around animals my whole life and feel passionate about pet care and wellbeing. Walking and interacting with the dogs I’ve had has always been incredibly rewarding for me, and I want to bring my enthusiasm for dog care to others! I provide dog walking and drop-in services, with an emphasis on exploration and adventure. I love finding new walking routes and love exploring the city and trails in the Berkeley and Oakland hills. For drop-in’s I offer a personalized experience for each pet, and aim to ensure that by the time I leave they’re as happy as can be. Thanks so much for considering me to be a dog walker or care-giver. I can’t wait to explore and learn with your pet. I work from home full-time and am available for walks during the day. I mostly work an east coast schedule so am always down to go on a mid-afternoon hiking/trail adventure with your pup! I value creating a calm but clear environment for all the dogs I work with. I have experience training dogs in easy commands (sit, stay etc) and always communicate with the client about how to best communicate with their dogs, as well as any stickier behaviors that I should be aware of while caring for their pet.

About: I grew up around many dogs and cats and have experience in taking care of all shapes, sizes, ages and needs. I have pet-sat and house-sat for numerous different families, including a family with 4 big dogs and a puppy! I am up for any challenge. I have experience with grooming and bathing pets as well. I love working with animals. I recently graduated and am currently looking for a job. My schedule is widely available because of this, so I am happy to take on as many requests as I can! I currently live in an apartment that does not allow animals, so I can only offer pet sitting/walking services in your home. I find that this is usually best for the animal to get to stay in an environment they are comfortable in!

About: I have 6 years of pet care experience including experience with anxious dogs and dogs needing some additional time to warm up to new humans. I currently have a border collie that’s 4 years old so I’m also used to caring for higher energy dogs who need a little more. I love taking dogs on hikes around the bay if that is something your pup is into or to the local park. I also have experience with older and small dogs that require a calmer environment. I hold a graduate degree in psychology and have spent time studying pet behavior and body language and will be happy to apply my skills to your pup and am alway happy to continue reinforcing specific behaviors you are working on with your pup I currently do pet care full time so I will be available all day to care for your pup and can cater my schedules to the specific need of your pup wile I care for them My home is on the first floor with a small fully fenced yard and doggy door (which I can also block is that is your preference) but I find that dogs often find it helps to be able to come in and out. The yard and off the street and has 6ft fence so your pup will be safe. I live alone with my pup so no one else will be in the home

About: As a kid, I wasn’t allowed to get a pet, so I spent as much time pet sitting as I possibly could. I’ve cared for cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and rabbits. I was lucky enough to have my own dog through my late childhood and teenage years; as an adult, I’ve continued to pet sit for friends and family, and even fostered dogs and cats during COVID-19. I’m used to animals with a wide variety of personalities, and always want to give all of them love, in the way that they want love to be shown. I work from home full-time Monday through Friday 9 to 5 (with occasional days in the office), and would be so happy to have your pet over, visit your pet, or play with your pet during those times. I’m often free on Saturdays as well, and while gone Sunday mornings, a Sunday evening check-in or host is never off the table. I live alone in a sunny apartment with big windows that your pet can look out of and watch the world go by. I’m clean and conscientious, so your pet won’t have to worry about finding any surprises on my floor.

About: OVERNIGHT BUNNY BOARDING AND DOG/CAT/BUNNY DROP-IN VISITS! *dog overnight boarding rates are actually for bunny clients. Hi! My name is Danielle, and I'm an animal lover to the core! While I had my special needs rabbit, I realized how hard it was to find an experienced bunny baby-sitter, especially one that was able to administer medications and care. Now that my little bun has passed away, I thought I could offer this much-needed service to other bunny parents out there. I work from home and between having been previously employed at House Rabbit Society Headquarters, and also at an animal hospital for just over 7 years, I have had both actual training and years of experience to bring to the table...well over 20 years! You can trust that I will care for your little one as if they were my own. I have experience with special needs (medications, injections, fluid therapy, food prep, etc.), as well as a valuable understanding of bunny, cat, and dog behaviors and body language. I treat animals like family members and your fur-baby will be no different! I very much look forward to meeting you and your furry loved one! :) I work from home, so I generally have a fairly flexible schedule and am present quite a bit, making it easier to maintain your baby's schedule and care routines and give lots of attention. I offer Bunny Boarding in my home for a single or bonded pair (or trio depending on their space needs). They stay in my office in my condo, which means I will be around them a lot throughout the day, and away from hub-bub of other animals (like you might expect at other boarding locations) so it's easy to keep things quite and low-stress. For drop-in visits for cats/dogs/bunnies, I tend to spend a moment with treats and greetings before going into play or for walks, showing them I am trust worthy. If they enjoy it, I love giving brushies, and using their favorite toys to play. Always happy to do a little focus work for treats, so if you want me to reinforce any training commands, I would be happy to. Cuddles and petties are an essential and core part of the menu (and personally my favorite part), but I always read body language and energy cues as to how much affection they are interested in at the moment.

“Flexible, understanding, and sweet! Would definitely use Simone again. Thanks!”

About: I've had pets my whole life from dogs, birds, and different reptiles. I've volunteered at shelters and rescues with walking and fostering dogs. I'm very comfortable with dogs and excited to meet yours! My schedule is currently very flexible and looking to walk dogs during this time. Mornings and afternoons ideal but can also assist for evenings occasionally Safety is of utmost importance. I always make sure that pets are properly secured before leaving a property. Any codes and property are respected to ensure a comfortable experience.

About: We have been fostering special needs dogs for the past 7 years, and due to family circumstances, we have to put a hold on that for a while. In the meantime, we're both part time, medical professionals and have lots of time to help out with your dog-care needs. (Robert works only from home.) There is absolutely nothing like the bond between humans and dogs, and we know how important it is for you to feel like your baby is in good hands. We're super responsive, dependable, and flexible to your needs. We've never met a dog we couldn't love! One or both of us is home every day and we love getting outdoors and being active if that's what your pup craves. Great walking neighborhood and Lake Temescal is just 5 minutes down the road for serious sniffing potential. We average 6-10 miles a day of walking if your dog enjoys long walks, and Brian can run up to 12 miles per day on weekends. No other animals in our house currently. Single family home with fenced outdoor area. Very dog-friendly and safe neighborhood. Dogs can be crated or uncrated at night (your preference).

“Thank you, Sara!”

“Kelsey was extremely flexible when our timing changed last minute and was immensely helpful transporting our dogs from Oakland to Pacifica! I would trust her again in a heartbeat.”

About: I have enjoyed a lifelong love of dogs and bring over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of many different kinds of temperaments and personality. I have loved and raised both energetic dogs (Golden Retriever and Border Collie) as well as my most recent rescue poodle mix Rudy who I saw through to the end of his 15th year. I am 100% equipped to take tender loving care of the special needs of senior pups and know how to administer meds to dogs of all ages. I am an avid walker and would welcome the chance to take your dog outside with me as needed. Dogs are not just pets to me but cherished family members who deserve the best. When your dogs are in my care, you can trust that they will be treated as my own, with attention, love and the respect they deserve. I work PT and mostly from home. I go my office (local) for around 4 hours, two days a week. Other than that, I am available to be with your dog or cat for most of the day if need be. I live in a large flat with ample room to run and play. I am able to crate your dog if preferred or needed. I do not have any other pets or children so your pup has my full attention.

About: I fell in love with dogs when I was 12 and we got our first puppy, Kishu, a basset hound who tripped over her ears all the time. Since then I have cared for all types of dogs, puppy to senior, big to small, and loved them all. I’m a full time student getting my doctorate in clinical psychology, so my availability is pretty open. My program is five years long so I’m hopeful to find some pets to walk long term if that’s that you’re looking for! I’m currently a full time student, so I’m mostly available on weekends, weekday mornings, and Mondays to walk your dog or stop by to check on them. I am both gentle and able to lead to make sure your dog is lovingly taken care of when you need me. I’ll be there for you and your pup.
